The contents and form of reference data presented here are intended for fully-trained crews. These procedures are subject to change pending further hardware modifications as well as procedure verification in simulators and trainers. 10 FGB IFM IVA 1 1 E 5 May GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1. ACTIVITY AND OPERATION SEQUENCE During performance of any activities, the crew must: 1. Conduct all operations in accordance with the crew procedures or MCC instructions (relayed either by voice via radio link or by radiogram). 2. Inspect working area. 3. Provide maximum comfort for operation in the working area. 4. Prepare all the tools and accessories and secure them in the working area. 5. Inspect all hardware (units, instruments, cables, assemblies, etc.), intended for installation, for absence of any mechanical damage. W A R N I N G If any damage of paint coating, or housing of instruments, units, connectors, and cables, is detected, report to MCC. 6. Make sure all the systems, units or instruments intended for IFM activities have been previously deactivated/disabled. 7. Perform IFM operations and activities 8. Upon completion, check correctness of performed installation(s). 9. Log the time spent to perform activity. 10. Report completed activities to MCC. 11. Carefully inspect working area. W A R N I N G Upon completion of IFM, proceed with re-activation of instruments, units and systems as well as their functional checkouts on MCC GO. 12. Inventory tools and accessories and return them to their stowage locations. 13. Stow removed/replaced hardware in assigned stowage location(s). 14. On detection of deviations in operation of any of the systems, the crew needs to: - record malfunction detection time; - describe the symptoms or character of malfunction; - prepare a report; - report to MCC during the next comm session.

11 FGB IFM IVA 1 2 E 5 May During off-nominal situations (on condition their symptoms fully conform with those described in the flight procedures), the crew may, on its own accord, perform necessary actions in order to eliminate or localize the off-nominal situations, as prescribed by the flight procedures, and subsequently report them to MCC during the next comm session.

12 FGB IFM IVA 1 3 E 5 May SAFETY MEASURES This document contains the procedures, designed to provide for crew safety and maintenance of onboard systems. During performance of procedures, the crew must observe the following requirements: 1. All activities are conducted on MCC GO. 2. During translation and installation of units, do not let them strike any station structural elements. 3. During any IFM operations, all systems, units, and instruments, intended for such operations, should be powered down. 4. When working with the systems, make sure to use only the equipment, accessories, protection means, either specified by the flight procedures or recommended by MCC. 5. Do not allow any kinks of hoses or flexible air ducts. 6. Tighten all threaded connections smoothly and steadily. 7. When one crewmember is mating a connector, another crewmember should verify the connection. W A R N I N G Mating/demating of hot connectors is to be performed with extreme care and on MCC GO (i.e. during comm pass). 8. When demating hot connectors, quickly move cable end aside as soon as captive nut comes off the threaded part of the connector shell. 9. When mating hot connectors: % place cable network connector and respective connector on unit in alignment, after checking key pin alignment; % if necessary, align connector key pins by rotating cable connector assembly ; % align cable connector so its captive nut is seated on the first thread of unit connector by advancing it along its axis, avoiding any misalignment; % tighten captive nut by hand to the stop. 10. When mating HF connectors, do not rotate connector shell relative to cable. 11. When working with the hardware provided with protective plugs, caps, or covers (such as panels, hoses, cables, etc.), ensure that: % before operations & all protective tools are removed; % after operations & all protective tools are re-installed. 12. During cable installation, do not allow any kinks or twists of cable harnesses 13. All tools and equipment, used during IFM operations, should be properly secured.

13 FGB IFM IVA 1 4 E 5 May In the event of an off-nominal situation (not described in the flight procedures), the crew should: % halt operation of the failed system; % log detection time; % record symptoms or character; % prepare a report; % report to MCC during next comm session.

Engage respective parts of plunger assembly by turning fixed plunger part (9*) with respect to detachable plunger part (10*) so that their slanted protrusions interlock with each other. If necessary, turn handwheel (3*) " РАССТЫК (Demate) Rotate handwheel " СТЫК (Mate), to retract plunger assembly into housing of fixed semi-connector until end of detachable semi-connector housing bottoms out within fixed semi-connector housing. Disengage screws (4*) from flange (6*) threads of detachable semi-connector by turning screw heads on detachable semi-connector (from the head side) Extend screws toward flange (5*) of fixed semi-connector and engage flange by simultanously tightening both screws into threads of flange to stop (connector interface closes) Rotate handwheel (3*) " РАССТЫК (Demate), to release restraint (8*) on detachable semiconnector and manually disengage it
