1 TECHICA SHEET relays DI actuator Description By means of internal relays, this device executes the controls received from the central unit or from the probe. It is needed to control loads such as - -coils, motorised valves, pumps and electric radiators. It has four independent relays which can be used to control two distinct loads with O/OFF function and to control a single load with open/close function. To manage open/close loads the actuator must be configured with the logical interlock of the two relays (see Configuration section) and contacts C/C respectively must be considered to open and close the first valve and contacts / to open and close the second valve. The contacts assume different functions when the actuator is used to control coils. Contact C is an O/OFF contact and controls the valve. Contacts C, and controls the ventilation minimum, average and maximum respectively. The temperature control function automatically selects the ventilation depending on the difference between the temperature set by the user and the room temperature. 2 Configuration ZA ZB ZB ZB ZB As for the two-relay actuator two configurators which identify the actuator address, i.e. the number of the relevant zone, must be inserted in housings and [ZB]. A sensor and an actuator which belong to the same zone will have the same numeric configurators in housings and [ZB]. On the front part of the four-relay actuator there are six housings for configurators:, [ZB], [ZB], [ZB], [ZB] and []. The configuration housings are divided over the four relays as follows: [ZB] relay zone address [ZB] relay zone address [ZB] relay zone address [ZB] relay zone address [] zone progressive number The relays mounted on the device are independent and can be used to drive four separate loads with O/OFF function. Thus if all the [ZB] configurators are different, the four relays are configured to control the four loads in four different zones The diagram indicates the correspondence between the configurator housings and the relay contacts. Operation of one or more relays can be excluded. To do this insert the OFF configurator in the [ZB] housing corresponding to the relay not used. R cannot be excluded however. The actuator can also be used to control two single loads with Open/Close function, e.g. solenoid valves with opening and closing control. To manage these loads configure the actuator with the relay logical interlock, inserting two identical consecutive configurators i.e. [ZB] = [ZB] and [ZB] = [ZB] in [ZB]. To use the contacts consider C and C respectively to open and close the first valve and contacts and to open and close the second valve. The relay contacts perform different functions when the actuator is used to control -coils. To actuate this function insert four identical configurators i.e. [ZB] = [ZB] = [ZB] = [ZB] in position [ZB]. Contact C is an O/OFF contact and controls the valve, contacts C, and control the minimum, average and maximum ventilation s respectively. The temperature control function automatically selects the ventilation depending on the difference between the temperature set by the user and the room temperature. This actuator cannot be used to control the system circulation pump (configuration in zone 00) and to control several separate loads belonging to the same zone. Actuator. Fan-coil tubes s OtE: If a -coil is used in heating systems the must not turn when the water is cold, to avoid cooling the room instead of heating it. Some -coils have a water temperature sensor to perform this function. If a -coil without sensor is used an efficient solution is that of using an immersion thermostat to be installed on the water return pipe. The progressive number for the actuator intended for the cooling is 5, while for the actuator intended for the heating it is 6. Contact C of each actuator controls the solenoid valve which is selected by the temperature control function depending on the system setting (summer or winter).
