Forward This manual has a general purpose and therefore, to proceed with the installation, it is compulsory to refer to the characteristics and to the wiring diagramm of the specific lift. When you receive the controller following points must be checked: Fixing and integrity of all components and devices Tightening of all screws on all components Input and output transformer voltages or of the supplier (with VA valve open and with R/S/T/L/N + GND already wired) Comparison between needed characteristics and wiring diagramm/controller components You cant now proceed keeping always in mind the good practice and the safety. Beginning of installation To move the car platform inside the shaft, when all safeties are not yet installed, following devices need to be wired: R, S, T, L, N, GND (ground) Hoisting motor and brake or valve coils (with VVVF drive wire the shielded cable between controller and motor) Motor thermistors between terminals TP and GND The inspection switch inside the controller must be in position ISP Jumper each other the terminals of the safety chain Jumper each +24 and J3/7 (with two entrances: jumper each +24 e J3/8) The ansie to up/down command will bea s indicated into parameter Inspection control. (+)Warning!!!! Before putting into operation remove all jumpers Inspection control The inspection control is activated when the relevant switch, inside the controller, is moved from NOR to ISP position; the RM relay energie and bring his feedback to the J5/2 terminal of EQMPP board that, once verified the safety chain integrity, and received the up or down commands, directly operates the contactors and verify their pull-in and dropout. There are two way sto move the car under inspection mode: a) Operating directly in serie sto the safety chain wiring the up and down buttons to bring the relevant information to the terminals J6/1 and J6/2 of EQMPP board b) From inside the car pushing the buttons referred to the first two floors 0C to go down (M1A/1) and 1C to go up (M1A/2) The CRS and CRD switches will limit the car movement at terminal floor stopping it at floor level to allow the technician to leave the car, choose b). The EQMPP board grants a delay of 1 second in contactors activation between a release and a new preassure of the buttons. Once finished the inspection control, the car, goes to reset at lowest floor. 3
Reset condition and sequence The EQMPP board lose knowledge of the position of the car under following conditions: Loss of power After inspection control When reset button is actuated on the EQMPP board When CRS or CRD operated due to car out of step After faults where reset is needed to restart. The reset sequence will always bring the car to lowest floor; 4 conditions are possible: Car position Slowdown contact Led Slowdown type to lowest floor CRD closed UM on DM on is effected in standing position slightly above to lowest floor CRD closed UM off DM on the car goes down with low speed and stops when meets magnetic strips on the lowest floor above to lowest floor CRD open UM off DM on the car goes down with high speed goes through low speed and stops when meets magnetic strips on the lowest floor to top floor CRD open UM off DM off the car goes down with high speed goes through low speed and stops when meets CRD slowdown contact and magnetic strips on the lowest floor Dip switches (sw) on EQMPP board No phase control both with mono or three phase supply With phase control with three phase supply Rope: the car reains at the last floor served Hydraulic: the car return to lowest floor after 15 min. The car parks with door open The car parks with door closed Dead man control inside the car Automatic control inside the car Dead man control at landings Automatic control at landings Landing time = 5 sec. (door remains open) Landing time = 10 sec. (door remains open) Rope lift Hydraulic lift One entrance or two alternate / contemporary entrances Two selectives entrances 4
Minimum needed informations to answer a call The EQMPP board can answer a call when: Is not in inspection mode Is not in overload condition Light ray devices are free Is not under not recoverable fault (see Diagnostic - Fault table ) The leds OK / WD / D1 / D2 / D3 are If the above stated conditions are satisfied, the procedure to answer a call starts with the door close command (red led CP on ) and, once the doors are closed (led D4 on ), continues with the retiring cam and contactors GV+D or S command. The EQMPP board, through the outputs of his J7 socket, evidenced by the relevant red leds, drives the power contactors: Drive LED Terminals Conn. Function S 1 / 2 J7 Up Hydraulic VVVF D 4 / 3 J7 Down GV 5 / 6 J7 High speed S 1 / 2 J7 Up D 4 / 3 J7 Down GV 5 / 6 J7 Run (high speed) PV 8 / 7 J7 Slow speed Insulation test During electrical insulation test all sockets must be remover from EQMPP board. Further informations on the procedure are stated on the specific wiring diagram. 5
Safety chain status check points The EQMPP board check the safety chain status through 4 pick-up points identified with 4 leds: 1 st check point Led D1 Connector J7 Terminal 4 Checks the following switches: Car stop Pit stop Car safety g Car speed governor Car speed governor tensioner Limitatore velocità contrappeso Counterweight speed governor Pit stand Car top emergency trap 2 nd check point Led D2 Connector J7 Terminal 6 Checks the following switches: Checks the following switches 3 rd check point Led D3 Connector J7 Terminal 8 Checks the following switches: Manual car door Auxiliary manual swing landing door 4 th check point Led D4 Connector J7 Terminal 10 Checks the following switches: Automatic car door (gate) Automatic landing door locks (without retiring cam) REMARK: when the retiring cam / fixed cam devices / electric door locks is installed, the lock s switches of manual and automatic landing doors must be wired after the 4 th pick-up point (D4). 6
Switches functions UM / DM reed With only two reed switches (UM / DM), in combination with two magnetic strips per floor, the EQMPP board obtain following functons: Floor selection (UM as counter for up direction and DM for down direction) Stop (presence of both UM and DM) Door zone (presence of both UM and DM) Forced slowdown (just UM up and just DM down) RZA / RZB reed The two reed switches RZA/RZB are included in the same body and together with a magnetic strip per floor operate the safety circuit that defines: Hydraulic: the relevelling zone With fixed came devices: door lock bypass The safety circuit can be realized either with Stem NC81 or with K1,K2,K3 contactors. Forced slowdown/reset switches (CRS / CRD) at terminal floors The CRS or CRD reed switches are located at terminal floor and bring their information to the EQMPP board at terminals J5/3 and J5/4 their functions are: To give the informato that terminal floor is reached To force the slowdown if car out of step and therefore to stop with both UM/DM engaged To reset the car at lowest floor (CRD) Their positioning has to respect what shown on the shaft disposal sheet of wiring diagram with the following remarks: CRD has to work in down direction after the DM reed switch but a distance from lowest floor level that grants the fully loaded car to decelerate and stop CRS has to work in up direction after the UM reed switch but a distance from the top floor level that grants the empty car to decelerate and stop Diagnostic - fault table The EQMPP board shows the errors identified through the number of bliking of the DG led. Error code (DG bliking) 1 Phase reversal or phase loss (with three phase) 2 Overtravel 3 Thermistors 4 Missed drop out of GV / PV contactors ( > 3 sec. ) 5 Missed drop out of S / D / P contactors ( > 3 sec. ) 6 Missed pull in of GV / PV contactors ( > 3 sec. ) 7 Missed pull in of S / D / P contactors ( > 3 sec. ) 8 Running timeout between two floors ( > 120 sec. ) Floor leaving timeout 11 Defective safety circuit (Stem NC81 device or K1, K2, K3 contactors) 12 Door close failure 13 Door open failure 14 Reset failed 15 Oil temperature excessive or overload sw. 16 Relevelling timeout ( > 20 sec. ) Remark: to reset the EQMPP board push the reset button till when the led OK goes off. 7
