2 Bolting Technology Yale bolting technology is the general term of reliable and proven equipment renowned world-wide for controlled tightening or loosening of bolted connections. The comprehensive range of products includes hydraulic torque wrenches for a maximum tightening torque of up to Nm, pneumatic torque wrenches for up to 4000 Nm as well as hydraulic bolt tensioners for a maximum thread dimension of M150. Hydraulic flange spreaders, hydraulic nut splitters and manual torque multipliers for up to Nm complement the portfolio. Special features of these products are their long service life, easy and quick maintenance and repair. All products from the bolting technology sector fulfil national and international regulations such as e.g. the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC including corresponding supplements. It goes without saying that all torque wrenches are provided with a calibration certificate and operating instructions with a declaration of conformity or a manufacturer s declaration. 4 Bolting Technology Hydraulic lifting wedges Hydraulic lifting wedge model HK-16T The hydraulic lifting wedge has been developed as an easy to use/cost effective way to find solutions for lifting heavy objects where minimal clearance is available. It will lift objects vertically where an access gap of 3/8" (9.5 mm) or more is available. The HK-16T will lift an object fast, secure and safe with a lifting force of 16 tons per tool. Multiple units can be used if higher lifting forces are needed. An acces gap of min. 6.5 mm is needed. With a max. working pressure of 700 bar the max. spreading force is 14 t. The spreading wedge can be operated by using a hydraulic hand pump or foot pump.
