2 IP N 562 Crane pre-equipment at rear of cab Why crane pre-equipment at rear of cab? To satisfy two requirements for satisfactory installation: Free area for the stabilizer legs Mounting plates providing a rigid link between the crane sub-chassis and the vehicle chassis. Pre-equipment avoids the bodybuilder having to shift the items attached along the side members (battery box,air tanks, etc.) Advantages Quality of assembly and hence overall quality of the vehicle, avoiding risks of breakdown. Time saving Lower overall cost (no need for foldable stabilizers) Gives a professional image Page April

17 PREMIUM and KERAX Limits to the capacity acceptable by pre-equipment IP N 562 Crane pre-equipment at rear of cab For vehicles fitted with crane pre-equipment (variant number 20299), the crane installed on the vehicle must not exceed a capacity of 20 t.m. The crane attachments must be located opposite the attachments on the chassis, as shown on the following diagram: dxi 11 Crane mounting authorized area Crane mounting prohibited area dxi 7 Page April

18 PREMIUM and KERAX IP N 562 Crane pre-equipment at rear of cab If the attachements were to be located in the prohibited areas (red zone), the bodybuilder must install a reinforcement capable of transmitting forces to the attachments. See schematic diagrams below Two examples of schematic diagrams for execution of reinforcements by the bodybuilder dxi 11 dxi 7 NB For mounting any crane of capacity greater than 20t/m, the plates must be replaced. This will be performed by the bodybuilder according to his needs, complying with the general rules defined in the bodybuilder mounting guides. 19 PREMIUM and KERAX Additional information: Special requirements for crane pre-equipment Wheelbase > 3500 mm Lateral and vertical exhaust Air intake: roof level Power takeoff ratio of around 1 Restrictions: Only for use on bad roads or easy worksites. Air filtration without prefiltering system by bleed. Shifting the diesel tank limits its capacity The plates are designed for cranes of maximum capacity 20t/m Above that, it is up to the installer to specify and mount the required plates IP N 562 Crane pre-equipment at rear of cab No solution for 8X4. Research is in progress (new position of silencer with SCR up over the right front axle mudguard) But afterwards It is possible to move the silencer and the air filter (see pages 24 and 25 ) Page April

21 IP N 562 Crane pre-equipment at rear of cab MIDLUM, PREMIUM and KERAX Electrical pre-equipment for cranes This consists of: A switch on the dashboard (Machine ON) An icon on the display (if switch pressed) A 20A power supply available in the battery boxt Premium and Kerax) or outside right (Midlum) controlled by the "Machine ON" switch on one side, via a relay fitted near the electrical junction box (EJB) and the PTO feedback on the other. 24 IP N 562 Crane pre-equipment at rear of cab Provision for concrete pump and crane on 8x4 In addition to current provision for cranes on Midlum, Premium Lander and Kerax (see Product Information number 562) under the code 20299, we will propose an additional one on 8X4 models (Lander and Kerax) to facilitate the installation of equipment with stabilizer legs between the two from axles (ex cab cranes behind the cab, concrete pump, etc..) Two options are proposed : : provision behind the cab with two mounting plates, for the crane sub-frame, up to the capacity of 40 tm : provision behind the cab without mounting plates, for cranes over 40 tm capacity ( the bodybuilder should design specific mounting plates and sub frame) or for concrete pump application. Description : To clear space between the two front axles the following elements have been repositioned: 1. Right side : shifting the «SCR» silencer over the mudguard, behind the cab 2. Left side : shifting the air filter to a higher position,over the mudguard, behind the cab The original AdBlue tank is replaced by a more compact 20l tank. Page April
