3 1. General characteristics General To make your windows extra secure against burglary, you should use the high security system Chrono Safe. The totally clampable Chrono Safe tilt and turn system is available with visible hinges and with concealed hinges. Chrono Invision Pro Chrono Invision Go Frame groove 14/18 mm Frame groove 10/14 mm A 14 ± ± 0.5 B 18 ± ± 0.5 High security parts The set contains the following high security parts: 4, 6 8 stainless steel mushroom head bolts, pre-riveted to a connection piece in zinc alloy, cner transmissions and tilt bolt which are connected to the Chrono Safe components and rods in the vent section. 4 brass hook-in security keeps which are fixed on the frame section with clamping plates in stainless steel and self-drilling screws. 2 4 additional zinc alloy security keeps which are fixed on the frame section with self-drilling screws: Fh = mm and/ Fb = mm a number of zinc alloy anti-lift pieces and protection pieces which are fixed on the frame section and the vent section with clamping plates in stainless steel and self-drilling screws. a special zinc alloy connection piece at the handle position at the lockcase f operation with square spindle. rods in synthetic material with increased tensile strength with special connections. 4 Connection rods in synthetic material The system consists of 11 rods with different lengths, made of a solid, non-absbing, fibre-reinfced synthetic material, which offers the following advantages: quick assembly by the special toothed connections. no rattling. no me time-consuming rod operations. inaccuracies while sawing and punching are eliminated. adjustment range of each rod is 50 mm. inaccuracies while manufacturing the window can be overcome by the connection rods, which allow a maximum err margin of 8 mm in height (Fh) and 4 mm in width (Fb). The rods in synthetic material incpate locking points as standard which serve as an additional centre locking point f wider and higher windows. RC2 The Chrono Safe RC2 fittings are based on the Chrono Safe SKG** system, with the difference that additional high security keeps are mounted f windows with: Fh = mm and/ Fb = mm The fittings itself have no certificate, but are RC2 wthy, based on a reference test which has been carried out on an existing profile system. To obtain RC2 on other profiles, confmity of the fittings must be requested on the particular profile system. Chrono Safe RC2 is only available with post-assembly mounted security keeps. The keeps can be mounted after assembly of the frame. The clamping plate is already fixed to the keep by means of M5 screws. Special profiles!! F windows with concealed vent f steel look profiles, special fixing screws must be provided f the Chrono Safe keeps. Two flowdrill screws are provided, this only f the Chrono Safe keeps of the base set. F tilt-turn windows there will be 8 screws per window. The 2 most extreme screws of the keep are replaced by the special screws. 25 9. General infmation and glass tables B11.09 The tilt-turn systems Chrono Safe can be used within the Fh/Fb sizes and weight limitations indicated on the charts. The ratio of the dimensions Fb/Fh must not exceed the value of 1.5 f visible hinges and Chrono Invision Pro hinges. F Chrono Invision Pro > 130 kg, the ratio of the dimensions Fb/Fh must not exceed the value of 1. F Chrono Invision Go hinges, the ratio of the dimensions Fb/Fh must not exceed the value of 1.2. The handle height should not be less than 1/3 and not be me than 2/3 of the vent height. Technical advise should be sought when the sizes of your windows are not shown in the chart. With Chrono visible hinges, the window stay is optional and is only used as limitation of the opening angle, never as stop. In schools and in other places where safety is imptant, we advise a window stay , -902, -903 and a handle with cylinder. A window stay is required in public buildings: Chrono Invision Pro Safe: Chrono Invision Go Safe: (groove 14/18) (groove 10/14) A window stay is required f balcony dos window dos: Chrono Invision Pro Safe: Chrono Invision Go Safe: A window stay is possible from the following vent width: Chrono Safe visible hinges: Fb > 450 mm Chrono Invision Pro Safe: Fb > 670 mm (only window stay and -903) Chrono Invision Go Safe: Fb > 520 mm The systems Chrono Safe are made of non-croding materials, the set should not be installed in crosive atmospheres. Sobinco cannot be held responsible f the malfunctioning of the Chrono Safe system if any non-sobinco parts are used. All parts must be assembled accding to the instructions as described in previous pages. Surface treatment of vent and frame must take place befe assembly of the set to avoid affecting the operation of the gear. If this is not the case, this may lead to the malfunctioning of the hardware and the warranty will dispose. Glazing must be in accdance with national standards. The window and gear should be kept clean and lubricated in accdance with our maintenance instructions (copy available on request).
