The damper casing is manufactured from hot-galvanised steel sheet and the blade from heat-insulating material. All of the dampers are delivered with flange joint. CE marking of the damper is based on product standard EN 15650:2010 and fire resistance tests performed according to EN The fire damper is available in three different structural lengths: standard length is 500 mm, lengths of 400 mm and 355 mm are also available. FK120 meets the requirements of fire class EI 30 S, EI 60 S, EI 90 S and EI 120 S. FK90 meets the requirements of fire class EI 30 S, EI 60 S and EI 90 S. A factory-made installation frame ER1 made of calcium silicate and equipped with an expanding fire seal (Figure 1) is available for gypsum plate wall mounting. With ER1, the fire damper can be installed in a quick and tight manner in compliance with the type approval, without needing to seal the damper after installation. ER1 may also be used to facilitate damper installation into building elements made of rock material. If the fire damper is to be installed onto a fire-separating shaft or other location where the structural length of the damper must be as short as possible, the shortest model of 355 mm is recommended for use. In cases like these, the damper is always installed using installation frame ER2 or ER3 (Figure 2). The installation frame ER2 or ER3 may be installed as early as in the wall construction phase, whereby the fire damper can be inserted into the frame at a later stage, at the same time as the ventilation ducts are being mounted. Blade axle of fire damper can be installed either horizontal or vertical position. The fire dampers delivered with factory-made installation frames are always model FK90. The leverage of FK120/FK90 is fully enclosed to protect it from the airflow a property that enables maintenance-free operation. To special order, the damper can also be converted into a motorized model by replacing the whole actuator panel. The fire damper is also available in epoxy resin coating for use in cleanrooms and other facilities where good corrosion resistance is required. In this version, the blade is protected with stainless steel sheet. For use in potentially explosive atmospheres, FK120/FK90 is available in an ATEX version. Locking screw C. use applicator D. New fuse E. Old fuse cartridge 1. Unscrew the fixing screws (4xM8) and remove the actuator from the damper. 2. Loosen the fuse locking screw by turning it in the open direction. 3. Use the slot at the end of the fuse mechanism to turn the mechanism clockwise to the next notch: the fuse is released by the spring load.

12 12 Fire damper FK120/FK90 REPLACING THE FUSE 4. Pull out the fuse mechanism and push out the old fuse cartridge through the actuator. 5. To install the new fuse, place it onto the spring mechanism. 6. Turn the fuse mechanism into place and secure it by turning the locking screw in the close direction. 7. Before fixing the actuator, open the damper blade (the notch in the shaft indicates the blade position). 8. Set the actuator open and fix it to the damper with the fixing screws. 9. To check the operation, trigger the actuator by pressing the red test button (the damper should close). Reset the damper.
