Our event is on their calendar. Contact Douglas Fields ( ) douglas.fields1@gmail.com 3. Publicity The Flyer, Bumper Stickers, Map, and staff shirts are done. The Airport Day has been posted on the following sites; Mass DOT, AOPA, & AV Events. AROC web site, Chamber of Commerce, town info center. VFW posted flier. Huntley will take fliers to schools and Scouts starting May 18th. Other fliers will be distributed via bill mailings, newspaper, radio, Post Office, and distribution by event staff. Cape Cod Day video is complete and online on YouTube. An announcement will be aired on radio in June for the open house also on YouTube. Coverage on the day with footage available for future use. John Garabedian has committed on radio publicity this was confirmed with Marylee. Newspaper coverage has started. Peter and Tim were interviewed on a radio show. Model Railroad The Nauset Model Railroad club will set up a display in a hanger. They will recruit members and have model railroad items for sale. An inventory of cars is coming. Food and Beverage Hangar B Menu: Italian Ice station, Grill for hamburgers and hot dogs, Ceviche cups, fish tacos, soft drinks, coffee, iced tea, cookies, and sandwiches. We will get pricing for the food items, provide tickets to participants for food, beverages and redeem the tickets with Hangar B. Event posted on Face Book, posters are up. 2 6. Static aircraft maintenance display Tim will have an aircraft open to display the engine 7. Model Aircraft The Discover Flying RC club who will bring a variety of RC aircraft to Airport Day. Cape Aerial Tours Weather permitting there will be reduced time and priced air tours available. There will be two tours, and two breakfasts donated and raffled off on the event day. Unique Aircraft Rene has drafted an invitation to owners of unique aircraft to join us on Airport Day. Tim will handle the distribution of the invitations. 10. Children s Handouts Huntley has handouts with from AOPA and Jill Douglas for kids including literature, puzzles, toy airplanes, and stickers age appropriate for young children. Flyers have been sent to and posted at 22 nearby airports except EWR. 3 Toilets; we have additional toilets to supplement the 3 toilets in the terminal building from Nauset Disposal. Cones; We have cones and traffic barriers to mark and control areas. Photo Coverage Photography and Video coverage. (Tracy has a photographer contact). Huntley has completed a video for Chatham Today and also has coverage of the Airport Day event for future use.
