2 Environment / Mobility / Energy / Technology Sustainable Intelligence There are several approaches to cities longing for competitiveness and value creation, as well as well-being for citizens, charting a path that privileges environment, energy, mobility and technology to make citizens life easier in unison with the city. UOU mobility paves the way to the union of these approaches, uniting energy, mobility and technology, exploring a symbiosis between the social dimension, economic development, mobility and sustainable intelligence. At the heart of a change in moving habits and current constraints, UOU mobility brings about a flexible, versatile, integrated, economic and sustainable solution in promoting intelligent mobility, to meet the needs of a growing population that needs to moves around. Together with the change of the new generations attitude to experience mobility in the city in a fast and inexpensive manner with environmental awareness, UOU mobility is a less polluting, economic and versatile answer which responds efficiently while expressing the cities pulsing. 2
3 Sustainable Intelligence Contexto Europe 2020 Strategy defines prime and complementary objectives which create a vision of Europe s market social economy for the future, Intelligent Growth, Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Growth through the promotion of a more sustainable, more competitive and more efficient economy in terms of resources use. Globally, and specifically in Europe, Sustainable Urban Development is a challenge that Urban Centres face and Smooth Sustainable Mobility Projects such as car-sharing and bike-sharing, as Intermodal Transportation components are quite relevant as they provide users with an alternative to the current TP network, boosting the reduction of traffic, gases and noise pollution, the use of fossil resources besides stimulating sport s practice and consequently decreasing health costs. In compliance with the ERT group development strategy and a constant environmental concern, UOU mobility developed an ultra-compact electric vehicle easy to drive and user friendly, capable of efficiently meeting mobility needs within the urban environment for which it was designed. In parallel, UOU mobility developed a low maintenance electric bike designed from scratch for sharing networks. UOU mobility bring about a Smart and integrated concept of trike-sharing and bike-sharing with an innovating charging/parking system at European level. It is an Innovating solution resorting to a mobile App and a fleet Management Software system designed for integrated sustainable urban mobility, construed for greater flexibility and less and more simple maintenance. 3

The system was designed to allow handling several types of vehicles simultaneously, allowing the user to choose among a vast offer of vehicles according to his/her mobility needs. It offers a new integrated mobility concept based on ultracompact electric vehicles designed for sharing: UOU. A trike-sharing solution designed not only for leisure but also to boost private car replacement. The system foresees one-direction trips which can be planned in an integrated manner, ideal for city daily trips as a complement to the public transportation network without depriving users of the individual mobility comfort. UOU vehicle is a national and differentiating vehicle with userfriendly driving. Designed for the urban environment with features adapted to cosmopolitan mobility due to its dimensions that allow greater progress and agility on the road, a 360 degree view from inside and a simple and accessible driving for all users. With high performance lithium batteries, UOU aims at meeting daily trips needs, complementing bike-sharing networks with a differentiating solution. More comfortable for the user, safer and available 365 days per year. The trike-sharing system eliminates the need to look for a parking space. Additionally, the vehicles compact feature makes it easier to plan and implement parking infrastructures. Vehicles and charging docks will be strongly interconnected to information technologies, offering the possibility to plan routes and make online reservations via information desk or the mobile app. Users can use different mobility means as UOU mobility provides a mixed trike-sharing and bike-sharing system resorting to electric vehicles and electric bikes to answer all mobility needs. 5

UOU BIKE puts innovation on the road providing an electric bike that combines smart features and cutting-edge technology with a minimal design. A solution that makes trips within the cities easier and more pleasant. UOU BIKE is a genuine pedelec with an electric support integrated system built-in the rear wheel hub which supports the muscle effort and replaces hard pedalling with effortless pedalling. For greater efficiency and lower maintenance, UOU BIKE sets the traditional bike chain system aside, and introduces a shaft-drive system which is more efficient, cleaner and less noisy without the related maintenance. The docks size can be freely adjusted and therefore it is possible to decrease or increase the system s capacity. UOU mobility introduces a new concept of Mixed Docks allowing parking and charging of electric vehicles, traditional bikes and electric bikes in a single system in order to make trike-sharing and bike-sharing more agile and flexible and with low maintenance, promoting a greater intermobility in the urban context. Urban Intelligence An intelligent hub that offers a real time Virtual Information Integrated System integrated with the electric charging and urban mobility network management system. It will allow providing the most updated information in real time and manage the networked vehicles rental. The Hub is a Virtual and Cultural Guide that offers the most diversified real time information to citizens and tourists. It will allow a virtual tour to the most interesting places and to plan customized routes resorting to augmented reality, events disclosure and promotional activities. It will simultaneously provide real time information on the network vehicles availability, charging status of the vehicles batteries and the rental of the mentioned vehicles in a simple and friendly user manner. The Hub is an autonomous and integrated system of smooth mobility network management. Up-to-the-Minute Information Visitors will have at their disposal a web portal via which they can access all the tourist information on activities or resources in real time, and create their own pedestrian travel plans with network electric vehicles and bikes and save the information on their mobile phone with the possibility of resorting to augmented reality technologies, stimulating the entire Tourism sector. Intelligent Desk An intelligent hub that collects, organizes, proposes and publishes, not only what is requested, but also everything that is related and that might be of interest in real time for each user. The desk is in fact the tourist and municipal resources management system which aggregates all the cultural, entertainment and financial information and the municipality companies offers, boosting the promotion of Municipal events and the local economy. Networked Vehicles Rental The Information Desk is equipped with a communication module connected to a 3G payment and management systems network. The user s access is validated via a RFID card, a prior register and payment through VISA, PayPal or ATM. Unlocking vehicles can be performed via wireless system through an Information Desk or mobile application. Management System The Management System allows efficiently managing the entire mobility network related to the system in an easy and userfriendly manner. It allows obtaining real time information related to the network general status, electric vehicles and electric bikes, batteries charging status, equipment status, users management, rental and occurrences management. 8

A system equipped with a networked communication module that allows monitoring the vehicles charging status and supplying users with real time information on the vehicles charging status. Municipality Boosting The system offers technology and the ability to create and share information through data produced by the municipality, integrated with the energy and data produced by citizens, ensuring the participation of all citizens in the city s expansion and life, promoting direct communication between citizens and the municipality Local Economy Booster It allows public and private entities to share information in real time. The organization and relation between UOU Mobility products allows offering the market platforms to create diversified revenues (advertising, access to funding, direct revenues, sponsorships) able to create an attractive offer for the private market; Boost the best that the Municipality has to offer, i.e. the unique knowledge of the territory, the capacity of municipal technicians and the capacity to integrate several initiatives in a coherent manner, ensuring the success of these initiatives. 1.
