9 Mobypost MobyPost propose to develop the concept of electric vehicles powered by fuel cells for delivery application. His originality: a local hydrogen production. Hydrogen is produced by electrolysis thanks to photovoltaic solar cells located on the roofs of the buildings of the French Post delivery company. 9 - May 2011

13 Rhein Mobil Electromobility can be cost efficient if the Electrical vehicles drives regularly the same road and on a long distance. The case of the home - Work travels could then be interesting. Michelin is since years a major actor promoting electromobility. His plant in Karlsruhe is for a large EV implementation interesting: - Approximately 500 workers drives daily from Karlsruhe to France (more than 100 km) - The plant produces his own electricity thanks to m² photovoltaic panels The Rhein Mobil project provide a car sharing solution, with electrical vehicles for a fix price: 120 / month, all inclusive. Other plants along the Rhine are prospected 13 - May 2011

15 The first draft of the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation ( ), so called Horizon 2020 gives as main targets: - Europe has set a policy target of achieving a 60 % reduction of CO 2 by It aims at halving the use of conventionally-fuelled cars in cities and achieving virtually CO 2 -free city logistics in major urban centres by Low-carbon fuels in aviation should reach 40 % by 2050, and CO 2 emissions from maritime bunker fuels should be reduced by 40 % by developing and accelerating the take-up of cleaner propulsion technologies is important for reducing or eliminating CO2 and pollution from transport. New and innovative solutions are necessary, based on electric engines and batteries, hydrogen and fuel cells, or hybrid propulsion.
