Remove the THREE screws in the upper section. Next to the plug in the motor. 2 Remove the cover section. You will now see the BUTTONS 1 and 2 to set the limits. 3. Switch the motor ON with the directional switch and run it a short distance. Switch it OFF. As soon as the motor starts to run, it turns a set of DISCS located inside the transparent plastic housing. There are TWO sets, each have THREE discs. Each disc has a GROUVE. As the Three grooves LINE UP, The GRAY Cam, located above the discs, will snap into the grooves and STOP the motor.one of the set of discs is for the RIGHT turn direction, the other for the LEFT ( in traversing. this is for the CLOSING or OPENING directions). It is not really possible ahead of time to say which one is for which direction; this is determined by turning the motor ON. 4. Between the two adjustment buttons (that became visible after removing the plastic Cover), is a little WHITE LEVER. This is the SAFETY CLIP. By PULLING slightly at one of the Buttons, the lever can be switched into that direction. This FREES the other button. PRESS it slightly towards the motor. ROTATE the button until the grooves in the Disc line up and the CAM SNAPS in ( you can hear this CLICK and also FEEL it). You have now switched OFF movement in ONE direction, or the other words. SET THAT LIMIT. Switch on the motor with the directional switch. If nothing moves, then the LIMIT was set for THAT direction. If the motor starts operating, the limit was set for the OPPOSITE direction. 5. Switch the motor on for the direction that it did NOT move. Again nothing happens. Now slightly turn the adjustment buttons so that the can just rises out of the groove. This switches the motor back ON. By turning the button back, the cam slides back in the groove and the motor switches OFF. 6. Now control the motor operation by slightly turning the button so that the motor runs. Let it run to the FARHEST point you want it set for in that direction. As it reaches, slip the cam into the groove. The motor switches OFF at the desired point. 7. CAREFULLY pull back the depressed button without turning it. Move the lever back to the CENTER. Push the adjustment button so that the lever CANNOT slip back. 8. The limit setting for that direction is FINISHED. 9. Pull out the other adjustment button and slide the LEVER in that direction, thus freeing the button for the other set of CAM's and discs. 10. Rotate the adjustment button until the CAM slips into the grooves. Switch on the motor and it will NOT work. 11. Slightly turn the adjustment screw again and the motor will start operating. 12. Run the motor until the desired LIMIT position for the drive runner has been reached in this direction 13. LOCK the adjustment button. *Bet sure to use the short screw to Lock the Lever in place. Most Important 14. TEST run the unit in BOTH directions and if necessary, make fine adjustment in similar manner. 15. REPLACE the cover and LOCK IT with the THREE screws. 1-short inside 2-outside LEG NOTE: ULTRA Important. That when replacing cover (1-short screw inside ). The Center SHORT Screw MUST LOCK the safety clip. This may Result in the limits not functioning correctly Set screw is Most Important LOCK CLIP MUST BE SET 8

Take Motor off Rail B. Place Rail on Work area or Floor FACING UP C. REMOVE the END Stop if it is on RAIL. RE-Move Carriers from Rail D. Remove clip from Master carrier. The changes are you will break it. Have extras. E. Use screw driver to get Master out of Drive Blocks that Hold Belt together. F. With belt LOOSE. You can now pull out the DRIVE and NON-DRIVE. Remove ONE drive block. And PULL belt thru the GEAR. REMOVE belt from Rail. G. CUT rail to desired width or the amount you need to remove. You might want to cut equal amounts from each end of rail to keep the belt centered. CLEAN the end that you have cut to be sure it is smooth. H. CUT the belt on each End.. The amount you have removed from the RAILX2. Reason being that you use twice as much belt as rail. BE CAREFUL> no Second changes if you cut off too much. I. Put the belt back thru the Drive and NO Drive. Being use to follow the reverse of the way you took it apart. You should even draw a diagram. Of the Layout. J. Attached the overlaps and masters. YOU Should have to Push the Belt together. Test to be sure it moves smoothly. You can even use a CLEAR Silicone, like the type used on Drapery to lubricate the Rail. K. Be sure you have put back in the Carriers.. Now install the End Stop. L. Re-install the Rail. And put the motor on. YOU Will have to Reset the LIMITS. Assemble the track 24

25 25 INFO #2 RAIL CONSTRUCTION Layout 1.Cut the track Track length = system length - 120mm Please use special bending machine to make curve tracks. 2.As the drawing direction thread the transmission belt through the track, and come out from other end. 3.As the drawing direction thread the transmission belt through the drive unit, the transmission belt will come out from other side of the drive unit automatically. 4.Thread the transmission belt into other side of the track. The drive unit touches the track end, but do not insert the track into the drive unit now. 5.At the each side of the track, keep 3 grids length for the transmission belt, then cut the superfluous transmission belt. * When the track is over 1 meter,only keep 2 grids. When the track is over 2 meters, only keep 1 grid. When the track is over 3 meters, needn t keep grid. 6.Pull the drive unit out(the transmission belt do not turn),then mark a spot on the belt as the drawing shows. 7.Pull out the transmission belt a little, count seven holes at the right of the mark, then mark the second spots. 25

26 8.The tackle can be apart to one tackle arm, two tackle wheels and one lock clip before assembling. 9.Connect the tackle wheel with the transmission belt as the drawing direction. 10.Fix another tackle (needn t take down) on the transmission belt at the second mark. 11.Put the tackle into the track, then insert the tackle into the drive unit. 12.Thread the transmission belt into the idler unit as the drawing direction, the transmission belt will round the idler unit automatically, and come out. 13.Connect the tackle wheel with the transmission belt as the drawing direction; then put the tackle wheel into the track, insert the track into the idler unit. 14.Connect two tackle wheels of the transmission belt with the tackle arm,then reassemble the lock clip on the tackle. 15. Put the roller runners into the track at the drive unit side, assemble the loop stop. 16.Put the roller runners into the track at the idler unit, assemble the loop stop. 17.After track assembled, test that if the tackles work well. Attention 1. Only one tackle needed for one side open track. You can adjust the tackle direction accordingly as necessary. 2. when assembling double drive system, change the drive unit instead of idler unit, and keep 5 grids length for the transmission belt. 26

27 27 Install drive 1.Insert the drive unit shaft into the drive output shaft, than pull down the lock clip. 2.Push the drive into the drive unit at ninety degrees. 3. Push the drive into the drive unit. 4.Turn the drive to parallel the track. 5.Loose the lock clip, it will rebound automatically. Or Push into Place Take down the drive 1.Pull down the lock clip with finger. 2.Turn the drive to 90 with the track. 3.Take out the drive. 27

28 INFO # 3 CUTTING DOWN A SPLIT DRAW DRAPERY ROD NOTE: Please contact factory before you proceed with these steps. Take your time Remove the motor if it is already Installed. Place the Track on the Floor. So that the carriers are FACING UP. There will be a CAGER at the drive-end of the rail that you will need to REMOVE with a screw driver before taking the carriers out. Be sure not to over turn the CAGER; otherwise, it bill come apart and the pieces will fall into the track. Just loosen the screw. Remove all Carriers. Remove the SAFETY CLIP from the master overlap. You may have to sue a small flat-head screwdriver to get the Clip off the Overlap. Use Needle-nose pliers to squeeze the drive blocks together ( to relieve the tension) and pull the master OVERLAPS out. The BELT will now be loose and you can remove the drive and NON-Drive gears from each end. Remove one drive block from the drive gear end and one drive block from the Non-drive end. You will now be able to pull the belt through the gears and remove the belt from the track. ( there could either be two pieces of belt on One!) Use a SAW to cut off the amount of extrusion you wish to remove. For a Spliced Track you will need to cut off equal amounts from each end. This way, you will keep the splice as centered on the track as possible. After cutting the track, use a razor knife to clean the edges of the aluminum where you made your cut. This will help to keep any metal shavings out of the gears once the track is reassembled. Make sure there are NO shavings in the track. Pull the transportation belt back through the track. Using the Drive blocks, push the blocks flush with the ends of the extrusion ( one block per side, per end) At the other side of the extrusion.. carefully measure and cut the belt 88.9 mm ( 3 ½ ) longer than the extrusion. The amount of belt cut off should be equal to TWICE the amount of extrusion cut off. CAUTION. Measure Twice, cut Once. Please measure carefully!!! Feed the belt through the gears and attach the second drive block to the belts. Then slide the gears back together Reattach the master overlap using the pliers, and put the plastic safety clip back over the master overlap, MOVE THE MASTER ; Testing that the system has a good fluid motion back and forth on the track. This is now a good time to spray the track with a high quality SILICONE spray before reinserting the carriers and screwing on the cager. Reset the limits on the motor. ( refer to your copy of Limit Adjustment Section ) INFO # 4 28

29 29 CHANGING ROD FROM either 1-WAY to CENTER OPENING IF ROD IS CENTER OPENING to Change to 1-WAY 1. Place Rod on Floor. 2. Remove 1 section of TACKLE drive. 3. Then just snap the rod back together. Like a Manual Drape Rod 4. be sure to also NOTE steps # 4-6, Below. And reset limits IF ROD IS 1-Way to Change to CENTER OPEN 1. Place Rod on Floor 2. Take Belt out of Rail 3. Bend belt in Half to find the Center 4. Insert 2 pc of Block Drive 5. Assemble Rail per Drawing 6. Put in the Master Carrier to PULL the belt together. i. Put Master in Other block ii. A significant understanding of the total weight of the drapery fabric, limitations of the motor system, limitations of the rod and of the construction of the wall on which the system is being installed is needed. Therefore, a technical knowledge and skill is required to properly install the system. Although many of these systems can easily be installed by a good handyman, LEG recommends that an 72

Since LEG has no control over how or where the system is installed, the manner in which it is being installed or the capability of the person installing the system, the customer assumes all responsibility and exempts LEG from any liability. DELIVERY All shipments are made FOB, Miami RETURN POLICY All have to be approved with all expenses by BUYER, and if approved, subject to restocking charges. If this is a Special order or Custom Item.
