4 Dual Manual Roller Shades 7 4 Black-out shade Tensioner Light Filtering Shade 3 3 Roller Shade Components 1) Light filtering shade fabric and black-out shade fabric that are attached to aluminum roller tubes with spline fabric attachment method. Allows for easy removal of fabric panel without removal of roller tube assembly. 2) Roller Tube- Sizes are 1.56, 2, 2.36, 2.56 and 3.12 diameter extruded aluminum roller tube as appropriate for size of shade. 3)Bottom Hem Bar-Can be sealed or exposed metal. Bar can not be easily removed. 4) Clutch- 9mm primary steel post, & rotational bearing to ensure smooth, quiet operation. 5) Bead Chain- Stainless steel bead chain with 120 pound breaking strength. 6) Tension Device-All shades are provided with a chain hold down attached to the chain at the factory. 7) Standard Dual Brackets- Plated steel with reinforcement ribs. 6 Coupled Shades The coupling system makes it easier than ever to group multiple shades with a single operator. Drive multiple window shades with a single motor or crank. Fabric height can be easily and independently adjusted. Brackets are installer-friendly, & can overcome walls that are not perfectly flat. Handy spanning wrench makes installation and maintenance quick and easy. Brackets extend 2½ from mounting surface to center line of roller, and may be all or ceiling mounted. Ideally, install the coupling system in the D pocket or existing pocket. Coupled units may also be installed in 4 11/16 ceiling pockets. Fascia is available. Coupled shades must be same height. Not suitable with Light Blocking Shade.

7 Light Blocking Channels U Channels U Channels come in 16 lengths and must be cut to the height required. Measure and cut extrusions to fi t installation requirements. Drill holes in U channels for mounting to wall or jamb. Please Note: U Channels are not compatible with all VFF shade products. U Channels Attach using hardware appropriate to mounting surface and conditions L Angles L Angles come in 12 3 (¾ x 1 ) or 16 (1 x 2¾ ) lengths and must be cut to the height required available. Measure and cut Clip and Closure extrusions to fi t installation requirements. Drill holes in L angles for mounting to wall or jamb. L Channels Attach using hardware appropriate to mounting surface and conditions H Angles H Channels come in 16 lengths and must be cut to the height required. Measure and cut to fit installation requirements. Drill holes in H Channel for mounting to wall or jamb. Please Note: H Channels are not compatible with all VFF shade products. Always attach using hardware appropriate to mounting surface and conditions. Felt Inside Edges Light Blocking Channel Attach using hardware appropriate to mounting surface and conditions Caution: Make sure that you leave enough space at the top of the H channel to keep it from interfering with shade operation. If using with motorized shades, set limit so the shade slat does not come up of out of the H Channel. If using with bead chain clutch shades, install stop balls onto bead channel so the shade slat does not come up out of the H Channel.

13 Shades Information Fabric orientation and size Order Specifics Qadvanced Roller Shades Roll Size Safe By Design All shades ship with fabric oriented in the vertical roll direction from the mill. If a shade in a group is railroaded, you have the option to railroad all shades in the group to match. Railroading is available on select fabrics only. Seaming is available in all fabrics. The seam will be placed near the top of the shade unless specified otherwise. Shades ship complete with brackets and batteries, as needed, ready to install. Shades may be specified standard or reverse roll. If desired, a 24v low voltage transformer power option may be specified. The design of QMotion delievers a simpler, sophisticated automated shade that offers both ease of use & dependability. Long battery life. Advanced electronics are designed to be more responsive and durable. Easy to program. Extended range and enhanced responsiveness to control devices. -30 feet or more in most applications(each installation is different, and environmental factors may effect results.) Low voltage wired shades can accommodate left or right side connection. Roll up diameter or RUD is determined by the size of the shade and fabric chosen. Extra length of material will be added to the height of the shade in order to allow the fabric to wrap around the tube when fully rolled down. Shades come in an endless range of colors and finishes, but when buying shades for your home, you must consider the way they are operated. A shade which is safe by design is one that is cordless or has concealed or tensioned cords. Qdvanced and Afree roller shades are cordless by design.

15 Shades Information & Side Channels Tube and Hembar Size Side Gaps Side Channels and Sill Rail Tube and hembar diameters vary depending on the height and width of your shade. Hembars are available in painted or fabric wrapped. Paint colors are white, sand, anodized, silver, bronze, and black. Hembar is ¾ A larger hembar is available for special orders of extra large commercial shades. Light blocking wool pile is integrated into the head rail cover for inside mount shades. Available in black or white. Easy fabric removal and installation- Demounting the tubes or brackets for cleaning is unnecessary. ¾ Hembar allows for tighter fabric attachment for a smooth appearance with no wrinkles or ripples. ½ industry leading side gaps are uniform on each side of the shade. Fabric width will be 1 narrower than the specified bracket to bracket dimensions. Side channels and sill rails offer an additional light control solution by covering the sides and bottom. Side channels are 2 wide, and the fabric travels inside them with a light blocking wool pile to assist with better light control. Side channels and accompanying sill rails come in any of the 5 standard colors. White, Anodized Silver, Sand, Bronze, or Black. Sill rail is L -shaped, and can be oriented to show either 2 or 1.15 face toward room. Fits into fascia to ensure maximum room darkening. Max size is 96 x 96 depending on fabric. No fabric wrapped hembar.
