4 Autonomous vehicles market The market of the autonomous vehicles (individual and shared vehicles) is rapidly expanding all over the world Within one year, Keolis observed a fast growing demand, within the calls for tenders of AOM or in stand-alone projects in cities, universities, CHU (teaching hospital) & other private sites In France, the Ministry of transportation registered the same number of requests in 5 months over 2018 as over the full year of 2017 (approx. 20) The IKEMS study, realized during the 1st half-year 2018 in cooperation with Valeo, demonstrated that in a city as Lyon the on-demand autonomous vehicles could represent until 25 % of the modal mix, so partly cannibalizing the rest of the public transport 4

5 Autonomous vehicles state of the art As regulation evolves in France and in international markets, there s a strong focus on safety / cybersecurity and customer acceptability. A market which the complexity does not stop growing up and where each goes out of its comfort zone or its historic positioning to play a key-role and demonstrate its capacity to manage autonomous vehicles fleet systems. 5

13 Focus on Paris La Défense The service provided: Free service 3 autonomous shuttles (June to Dec and from May 2018) 7 days a week (8 AM to 8 PM weekdays, 10 AM to 8 PM during weekends) Peak hours: a shuttle every 10 minutes Off-peak hours : a shuttle every 20 minutes 3 paths in 2017 (total 2km long) 10 stops optimised in to 2 for ,810 passengers 3,162 hours of operation 7,557 km driven in the middle of the biggest business disctrict of Europe 13 Data: End of October 2018

14 Focus on Paris La Défense The 1 st test without driver in commercial use: In November & December 2017, during off-peak hours One shuttle has been tested successfully in operation with no operator on board The shuttle was operated autonomously in metro mode 19 Keolis operators trained Safety for daily operation : in such a complex pedestrian area, Keolis operates the shuttles in the middle of the crowd thanks to its operators/supervisors on site Responsiveness : being in close relation with the site manager to anticipate the numerous events of the site (like the Christmas market) and ensure the service 14

18 Keolis : a pioneer in the operation of autonomous shuttles Already a key player in operating autonomous vehicles Pioneer thanks to its first successful implementations, in cooperation with Navya, Keolis develop its expertise on the subject always by integrating more autonomous vehicles into the urban mobility and by proposing longer trials. Keolis is the only operator to have diversified its use cases, whether by testing shuttles without operators in very dense pedestrian flows (in Paris-La-Défense), or in the middle of the traditional road traffic connected to traffic lights and by respecting the priorities and stops as any other vehicles (in Las Vegas). A recognized expertise in industry and transport operation Keolis is already leader in the sector of automatic metros, tram networks and now autonomous shuttles Keolis strengthens its presence on the entire mobility chain, focusing on the adaptation of the transport offer to its environment.
