Remove the front door trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section Remove the front door radio speaker. 3. Remove the front door watershield. 4. Lower the window glass to access the two window glass to regulator nuts. 5. Remove the inside glass weatherstrip. 6. Remove the front door rear glass channel bolt and position the channel aside. NOTE: Release the top portion first. Remove the sail panel. 2. Remove the window regulator switch plate (14524). 3. Disconnect the electrical connectors. (1 of 8) [4/19/2008 3:22:46 PM]

4 4. Remove the upper door trim panel screw. 5. Remove the door trim panel screw at the window regulator switch plate opening. 6. Remove the door trim panel screw in the courtesy lamp housing. 1. Remove the courtesy lamp lens. 2. Remove the screw. (2 of 8) [4/19/2008 3:22:46 PM]

5 7. Remove the inside door handle trim cover. 8. Remove the inside door handle. Remove the bolt. 9. CAUTION: To avoid damage to the front door trim panel, do not pull directly outward. (3 of 8) [4/19/2008 3:22:46 PM]

Lift upward and then outward to remove the front door trim panel (23943). 10. Remove the courtesy lamp and socket. 11. Disconnect the power mirror electrical connector. Installation 1.

8 6. Install the door trim panel screw in the courtesy lamp housing. 1. Install the screw. 2. Install the courtesy lamp lens. 7. Install the door trim panel screw at the window regulator switch plate opening. 8. Install the upper door trim panel screw. (6 of 8) [4/19/2008 3:22:46 PM]

9 9. Connect the electrical connectors. 10. NOTE: If a new trim panel is required: Some new trim panels have a cut out opening for the window switchplate that is larger than that on the original trim panel. When installing a new trim panel, install the window switchplate in the following sequence to make sure that the switchplate is secured fully into the door trim panel. Install the window regulator switchplate. Insert the rear switchplate clip into the trim panel opening. Install the forward and side clips into the trim panel opening. Raise the front door window glass to the full up position. 2. Remove the front door trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section Remove the door speaker. 4. Position the watershield aside. 5. CAUTION: Make sure the electrical connector is positioned aside before drilling. To access the power window motor bolts, use a 19 mm (3/4-in) hole saw with a 8 mm (1/4-in) pilot to drill three holes at the existing drill dimples on the door. 6. 12 7. WARNING: Prior to power window motor removal, make sure the regulator arms are in a fixed position to prevent counterbalance spring unwind. Failure to place the regulator arms in a fixed position can cause the spring to suddenly release resulting in personal injury. Remove the bolts and the front door window regulator motor. 8. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Cycle the window glass to make sure the gears engage. (2 of 2) [4/19/2008 3:23:11 PM]
