Since its discovery in 1933, Polyethylene (PE) has grown to be one of the world's most widely used and recognized thermoplastic materials. Today's modern are highly engineered for much more rigorous applications such as pressure-rated gas and water pipe, landfill membranes, automotive fuel tanks and other demanding applications. Polymers which consist only of carbon and hydrogen are called polyolefins. Polyethylene (PE) belongs to this group. It is a semicrystalline thermoplastic. Polyethylene is the most known standard polymer. The chemical formula is (CH 2 -CH 2 ) n. It is an environmentally friendly hydrocarbon product. More information Types of PE materials The physical properties of PE materials are specific to each grade or type, and can be modified by both variations in density, and in the molecular weight distribution. A large number of grades of PE materials are used in pipe and fittings systems and the specific properties are tailored for the particular application. The most general types of PE materials are as follows: Low Density PE (LDPE) The density of LDPE ranges between g/cm 3 and LDPE exhibits high flexibility and retention of properties at low temperature. The main use for LDPE in piping is in the micro irrigation or dripper tube applications with sizes up to 32 mm diameter. LDPE materials may be modified with elastomers (rubber modified) to improve Environmental Stress Crack Resistance (ESCR) values in micro irrigation applications where pipes operate in exposed environments whilst carrying agricultural chemical. Medium density PE (MDPE) MPDE base resin is manufactured using a low-pressure polymerization process, and the limited side branch chain structure results in a 2 PRICE TABLE 03 / 2018

3 Advantages material density range of 0,930-0,940 g/cm 3. MPDE materials qualify as PE63 and PE80. MPDE materials provide improved pipe properties when compared to the earlier high-density materials used in pipes. These properties include life, flexibility, ductility, slow crack growth resistance and crack propagation resistance. These properties of the MPDE materials are utilized in gas reticulation, small diameter pipe coils, travelling irrigator coils and water reticulation applications. High Density PE (HDPE) HDPE base resins are manufactured in a low-pressure process, resulting in a chain structure with small side branches and a material density range of 0,930-0,960 g/cm 3. HDPE materials qualify as PE80 and PE100 in accordance with ISO HDPE materials are widely used in both pressure and non pressure applications such as water supply, drains, outfalls and sewers in pipe sizes up to 1000 mm diameter. The increased stiffness of HDPE is used to advantage in such applications as electrical and communications conduits, drainage, sewer and storm water. Lightweight. The density of PE materials is only 0,93-0,96 g/cm 3. The weight of PE pipe is much less than that of concrete, cast iron, or steel pipe. The PE piping system is easy to handle and install, and reduced manpower and equipment requirements may result in installation savings. Flexibility. In some instances, the pipe's flexibility may remarkably eliminate the usage of fittings and greatly reduce installation costs. HDPE pipe can be bent to a minimum radius between 20 to 40 times the diameter of pipe, which mainly depends on the SDR of the certain pipe. Chemical and corrosion resistance. VASEN HDPE fittings and pipe have an excellent corrosion resistance against the majority of chemical substances in systems of potable water, irrigation, sanitary and drains. The PEAD is anti-corrosive and it is not oxidized long time. Odorless and insipid. Electrical insulating. The PEAD is an electrical conductive and it is not damaged, oxidized or corroded due to the electrolytic action. Thermal insulating. Low friction coefficient. Abrasion resistance. The high resistance to abrasion, flexibility, light weight, and robustness of HDPE VASEN fittings and pipes, has led to their wide usage in applications such as transportation of slurries and mine tailings. Ease of installation and union. Electrofusion and butt fusion. Recyclable. Long expectancy life. When the temperature is 20 C, the expectancy life is 50 years. POLYETHYLENE FITTINGS 3

HVAC- Heating, ventilation and air conditioning. VASEN PE piping system for GSHP (Ground Source Heat Pump) application. Pipe networks for irrigation. Transportation of suspension solids, in mine industry, etc. Connection methods 1. Electrofusion Cut the pipe. Cut the ends of the pipes rectangular and deburr them thoroughly. Measure welding depth. Measure the vertical length between the fitting end and the limit circle (measure half length of the fittings if the without limit circle). Mark welding depth. Mark the depth of electrofusion fitting on the ends of the pipes. Peel pipe end surface. Peel the surface of the pipes up to the marks thoroughly with a peeling tool ( mm thickness), and deburr. (It is a necessary procedure). Clean up welding area. Clean the welding area of the pipes and fitting with isopropanol, completely dry the fusion area with clean cloth. Do not touch the clean and dry fusion area of pipes or fittings with hands. 4 PRICE TABLE 03 / 2018

5 Mark welding depth. Mark the depth of electrofusion fitting again on the ends of the pipes. Insert into the fitting. Push the electrofusion sockets on the clean and dry end of the pipe (up to the marked depth), and check the fitness. Clamp the pipes and fittings at the same axis, ensure not move during fusion. Plug in the electrodes. Attach the electrode plugs of the welding machine to the electrode of the fittings, to ensure fully contact. Electric weld. Read the bar code on the fittings by scanning pen or input the welding parameter manually. Check the welding parameter showed on the machine, such as product type, voltage, heating and cooling time. Press Start button to carry on welding. Do not move or stress pipe and fitting during the whole fusion process and cooling time. Welding check. After fusion process, check and see if the welding indicators are protruded (the welding indicators height vary with fit clearance). Attention: 1 Input voltage deviation should be not more than ±15%, output voltage allowed deviation is within ±5%. 2 The electrofusion machine without temperature compensation function should set compensation time. 2. Butt fusion Clamp pipes and fittings. Plastic pipes and fittings are aligned and fixed by means of the clamping elements. Check welding parameter. Set welding temperature to 225±5 C, and test the pipe moving pressure. Mill pipe ends. Use the milling machine for milling the pipe end to be plane-parallel. Check if the pipe match, if not, makes adjustment, to ensure the alignment tolerance less than 10%. marks the beginning of the heating time. This time is for heating up the pipe ends up to the right welding temperature. Butt weld. When heating time has expired, divide the machine slide, remove heating element quickly and join the pipes (by putting both parts of the slide together). Hold pressure and cool down. The pipes are fused with the required welding pressure and cooled down under pressure. Heat up. After the heating element has been positioned, the pipes are pushed onto the heating plate with a defined adjusting pressure. After reaching the specified bead height the pressure is reduced.
