NOTE All cregiver obligtions ccording to Instructions for Use re to be checked when performing the Qulified personnel Service WARNING The points on this checklist re the minimum the mnufcturer recommends. In some cses due to hevy use of the product nd exposure to ggressive environment, more frequent inspections should be crried out. Continuing to use this product without conducting regulr inspections or continuing to use this product when fult is found will seriously compromise the user nd residents sfety. A few customers hve perceived the Cre Riser s flimsy nd thus uncomfortble. We hve therefore improved the Cre Riser by mking chnge in the mteril. Field improvement We hereby offer the Crendo Cre Riser s rebuilding kit to those customers who perceive the Cre Riser s flimsy. Actions in production The improved Cre Riser ws implemented Februry 26th 2007, SEE Wrrnty The new Cre Riser is vilble s rebuilding kit with rticle number S , for products mnufctured between SEE (My 23rd 2006) nd SEE (Februry 26th 2007). Complints will be hndled through the Complint Hndling System s per procedure. 10 Service Procedures MRM Mlibu/Sovereign SP 5. Check/Clen Filters Incoming Wter The shut-off vlve hs hex lid covering the filter. The vlve is designed to let the wter pss the filter from inside to outside to void clogging. The sme shut-off vlve is used on System 2000, Freedom Bth. 1. Close the vlves. The hndles (red for hot wter nd blue for cold) should be in cross position. WARNING Mke sure tht the vlve is closed before removing the lid, especilly importnt on the hot wter supply. Filter Hex hed lid 2. Remove the hex hed lid with wrench. 3. Pull out the filter nd clen it crefully. 4. Open the vlve for while. NOTE When flushing the vlve use hose to led out the wter in vessel outside the bth to ctch up the wste wter. 5. Shut the vlve 6. Fit the hex hed lid 10

11 MRM Mlibu/Sovereign Service Procedures SP 6. Check Vlves, Replce if Necessry NOTE Before replcements nd service, shut off ll wter supply. RPE SOLENOID VALVES These vlves re replced complete if not functioning. They hve n expected lifetime of openings nd closings. See pge 50. OLD SOLENOID VALVE (Fill vlve) The solenoid vlves hs membrne s well s n nchor sel. Membrne The membrne (4) is locted underneth the brss lid (2) nd is ccessed fter removing the four Allen hed screws. When removing the lid; note the position of the membrne s there is smll bleed hole nd brss pipe in the membrne (A) tht hs to be ssembled correctly to function. The membrne is lso equipped with pressure trnsition hole (B), llowing the pressure to build up on top of the membrne thus keeping the vlve closed. As the trnsition hole hs to be cler of ll obstcles nd dirt to function stisfctory, the hole hs n inserted brss pipe (very smll) to prevent lime build ups. This pipe must not be removed or the result will be tht the vlve does not close. Anchor sel The nchor sel on the nchor (6) is locted under the nchor housing (7) nd is reched by loosening nd removing the solenoid (1) nd the nchor housing. Be creful not to loose the nchor spring on the nchor. The service kit for this vlve includes position 4, 5, 6 nd 7. Membrne condition Focus should be on the membrne rubber sttus: it should not stin your fingers when touching it or show signs of deteriortion. 12 Service Procedures MRM Mlibu/Sovereign SP 7. Check Flow Restrictors If the wter regultion of the MPA is disturbed check: 1. Tht the flow nd pressure of incoming wter is sufficient. 2. If the flow nd pressure of the incoming wter is OK then mesure the flow from the shower, (defult 4,9-5,7 l/min) by filling vessel with known volume 3. Clculte the flow by dividing the volume of the vessel with the time to fill the complete vessel e.g. 20 l /4 min=5 l/min 4. Perform the test twice 5. If the verge flow is 4-5 l/min or more there is no need to replce the flow restrictors 6. If the verge flow is less thn 4 l/min both the fill vlve () nd the pump vlve (b) must be replced, follow the replcement procedure below. Replcement procedure )Fill vlve b)pump vlve 1. Shut off wter nd mins Red 2. The fill vlve is reched in the front of the Green tub while the pump vlve is reched from the side of the tub 3 3. Disconnect the hoses from the fill vlve nd Ornge 2 unscrew it from the holding plte. When Blck 1 ssembling check the cble connection ccording to picture top right nd fit the hoses 4. Pump vlve, bottom view right: Front view Disconnect the hoses from the vlve nd unscrew it from the hose nipple (c). Note. 13 MRM Mlibu/Sovereign Service Procedures SP 8. Check/Adjust Mixer Including Sel Kit/Complete Thermosttic Unit For mixers instlled in ny UK Ntionl Helth Service Instlltion. Plese refer to document 10.AR.03. If the mixer does not provide sufficient mount of wter or if the temperture regultion/stbility is poor: Check incoming flow, pressure nd temperture Check tht hot wter (stble 40 C) is shut off if incoming cold wter check vlve is closed Clen filters incoming wter ccording to SP 5 Check shower hndle flow ccording to SP 10 Check fill flow using the tub filling times in Instructions for Use. If incoming flow, pressure nd temperture is OK nd the procedures bove re mde but the temperture regultion/stbility or flow still is poor, replce the regultion crtridges s follows: All crtridges with springs () shll be replced if mintennce is required. These re included in repir kit together with o- rings nd internl check vlves. The three pushers (b) nd the shft trnsmission must be well lubricted or it will be difficult to djust the temperture. (Lubriction see pge 50) As the mixer is difficult to serve in plce it s recommended to strt with disssembling the mixer. b Disssembling the mixer from the tub 1. Reching the mixer from the short side will simplify the procedure but is not necessry 2. Shut off the wter supply 3. Rise the tub to top position 4. Remove the front pnel nd inner cover 13

14 Service Procedures MRM Mlibu/Sovereign 5. Unscrew the PEX pipes to the mixer. NOTE Hot wter my come out of the mixer c 6. Slightly loosen the two screws () holding the mixer to the u-br nd remove the screw (b) holding the brcket (e) to the chssis 7. Pull out the mixer 8. The mixer shft (c) will pop out of the mixer hub (d) nd cn be left hnging. b e d Removing the djustment plte nd crtridges Remove the four screws (f) holding the djustment plte (g). Mixer NOTE The crtridges (h) re spring loded (i) nd cn pop up very hrd when ll screws re removed. Lubricte ll o-rings Assembling 1. Tighten the screws (f) in digonl order to mke the crtridges fit correctly 2. Hold the mixer in plce nd position the mixer shft (c) 3. Attch n tighten screws holding mixer (,b) 4. Attch PEX pipes 5. NOTE: Adjust the mechnicl sclding protection (see pge 16) 6. Test function 7. 15 MRM Mlibu/Sovereign Service Procedures Test of the electronic sclding protection (fill, shower, tub) 1. Remove the plug (), loosen the screw (b), remove the knob (c) 2. Activte the filling 3. Turn the plstic prt (v) nti-clockwise until the fill temperture exceeds the sclding protection temperture 45 C nd shuts off. (Use clibrted thermometer ±0,5 C) f NOTE The sclding protection LED on the tub disply must flsh yellow (f) (see Technicl Mnul: Sclding protection for temperture digrm) 4. Proceed ccording to 3 but ctivte the shower. 5. For tub: fill tub with wter bove 45 C with sclding protection off (in Service mode set DIP 3 nd 4 in OFF position, see Technicl Mnul). 6. Activte sclding protection by switching to Norml mode 7. Drin tub 8. Use internl thermometer to mesure t wht wter temperture the sclding protection is dectivted. (The temperture will fll below 45 C within one minute.) 9. If the sclding protection does not work check: Sensor nd connections to sensors for -fill (g), position J11 on the PCB -shower (h), position J12 on the PCB -tub (i), from thermometer thermometer (connects to position J8/J12 on the PCB), or replce the thermometer. 10.Proceed with Adjustment of the mechnicl sclding protection below to set the stop ring. b c e d i h g 15

16 Service Procedures MRM Mlibu/Sovereign Setting of the mechnicl sclding protection. 1. Remove the plug () loosen the screw (b) nd remove the knob (c). 2. Activte fill. 3. Turn the plstic prt (d) counterclockwise until the correct temperture is mesured. (see pge 26 for set vlues). Try to get s close s possible to this temperture s over temperture will ctivte the sclding protection nd shut off the hot wter. Remember tht the fill wter setting results in shower temperture round 3 C below the fill setting. 4. Leve the wter on for 30 seconds so the wter temperture is stble (For Mlibu without shower go to 6) 5. Now ctivte the shower, mke sure the shower temperture hs the correct mximum vlue. If exceeded the regultion crtridges need to be replced, see pge Push the knob in position. The stop peg on the knob (c) shll be plced just bove the stop peg of the stop ring (e). In this position it shll be impossible to turn the knob counterclockwise. 7. Turn the knob to cold nd then bck to mximum het to check the set temperture vlues not exceeds the mximum llowed tempertures for fill nd shower. 8. 17 MRM Mlibu/Sovereign Service Procedures SP 9. Check Dosge Disinfection Perform the procedure in room temperture between C (68-77 F) to obtin correct set vlues. 1. Open the pnel lid nd remove the disinfection bottle 2. Fill grduted 50 ml cylinder with your used disinfection fluid. 3. Plce the cylinder where the disinfection bottle ws plced 4. Plce the bottle connection () in the cylinder 5. Hold the disinfection hndle in tub rim level nd pointing downwrds 6. Strt the disinfection by pressing the disinfection button (b) for 5 seconds 7. Press the hndle trigger to get disinfection flow, nd keep it ctivted until the flow is stble nd you no longer hve ny ir bubbles in the fluid. 8. Check the set vlue on the flow meter (c) ccording to the recommended vlue (see tble below), relese the hndle trigger b Disinfection gent Vlue ml/l ArjoClen up to VEPL ArjoClen from VEPL Top up the grduted cylinder completely, without removing the bottle connection 10.Use grduted 2000 ml continer to collect the disinfection mixture 11.Strt the disinfection, remember to hold the hndle in tub rim level 12.When the level in the 50ml cylinder psses 50 ml strt to spry the disinfection mixture into the continer until the level reches 20 ml 13.Shut off the disinfection by pressing the disinfection button (b) c 17

18 Service Procedures MRM Mlibu/Sovereign 14.Clculte the rtio in ml/l which is 30ml divided with the mixed volume, for exmple 30 ml/1,86 l = 16 ml/l. Compre with pproved vlue in ml/l ccording to tble. The mixed volume must not give too low concentrtion but it is cceptble if the clculted vlue is 5% higher. Exmple 30ml/1,77l=17 ml/l 15.If the concentrtion is too low ccording to tble check disinfection line for ir leks. If no leks: Primry: Replce injector Secondry: Replce flow meter Low level lrm 1. Lift up the bottle connection () so there is no contct with the disinfectnt in the bottle 2. Strt disinfection by pressing the disinfection button (b) for 5 seconds 3. A wrning with flshing green LED nd sound for 5 seconds shll be herd If not check replce with new bottle connection nd test gin. b 18

Turn the djuster ring (), fully nti clockwise 2. Unclip nd remove the djuster ring () 3. Unscrew the spry plte (b) nti clockwise. The o-rings (c) will provide some resistnce 4. Clen prts (,b,c) with stiff brush in wter or if necessry delime 5. Assemble the o-rings (c) nd mke sure they re locted correctly 6. Turn the flow divertor (d) fully clockwise 7. Crefully screw the spry plte (b) onto the flow divertor (d). There should be gp between the edge of the spry plte nd the flow divertor 8. Mke sure the green dot (e) is ccording to the picture nd lign inner teeth (f) with outer teeth (g) 9. 21 MRM Mlibu/Sovereign Service Procedures SP 11. Lubricte Moving Prts Lubrictions see Lockings, Lubriction nd Torques on pge 47 Chssis 1. Rise the system to its top position nd remove the pnels. 2. Use nipples on ech of the four legs () to lubricte. 3. Run the system up nd down couple of times nd let the grese spred. Lift Arm 1. Remove screws (b) holding the lift rm. 2. Remove screws (c) holding top bushings. 3. Lift up, remove rm nd bushings (d) from tub. 4. Lubricte surfce of rm. (e) 5. Lubricte inside the outer profile. (f) 6. Lubricte rottion berings through smll holes on the berings. (g) 7. When ssembling use Loctite for screws. Check the Sfety Cutout Switch When something comes between the lift rm nd the tub during lowering, the lift ctutor will lift itself () nd relese the sfety-cut switch (b). The lowering stops immeditely but it is still possible to rise the lift rm. Activtion of the switch cn be checked on LED 2 in Norml Mode showing green light (c). Procedure: b 1. Lower the liftrm while resisting the movement down by hnd - the sfety-cut switch shll stop the movement down. 2. If the lift rm movement is not stopped - check the switch with connections (connected to the control box position J13) 3. If replced check function of new switch c) LED 2 green: Switch ctive (ON) 22

23 MRM Mlibu/Sovereign Service Procedures SP 13. Check the Erth Wiring Connections The potentil equliztion is done in order to mke sure tht ll metl prts hve the sme electricl voltge potentil. Difference in potentil between ccessible prts mens tht current cn be led through person with risk of injury. WARNING If there is no erth equliztion connection point in the building certified electricin must mke the instlltion. NOTE Verifiction Test of Equliztion connection point 1. A cble from the erth equliztion connection point in the building is plugged into the test instrument. The mesurement is then done with probe between the instrument nd the specified prts of the tub (see next side) 2. Test t 25A 3. Mesure on clen metl surfces 4. The erth resistnce mesured must be 0.2 or lower. 5. Perform the mesurement with n pproved test equipment Symbol for erth equliztion connection 23

Potentil equliztion connector on chssis foot end 2. Chssis lift-end (both movble () nd fixed prt (b)) 3. Chssis foot-end (both movble () nd fixed prt (b)) 4. MPA pump: metl housing 5. Field wiring box: PE-cble to chssis 6. Control box: erth connection point on PCB 2 3 2b 1 3b

25 MRM Mlibu/Sovereign Service Procedures SP 14 Test Control Box Btteries The btteries shll be tested during lod nd this is done by running complete lift cycle (from floor down into the tub nd bck down to the floor) without mins connection. The bth must hve been connected to the mins prior to the test llowing the btteries to chrge fully. When strting this procedure the green LED () shll be stedy, not flshing with mins power on. 1. Disconnect the mins, this will enble bttery opertion 2. Check the colour of the LED () 3. - If the LED shows green light when disconnecting from mins: run complete lift cycle with the mximum lod 130 kg on the chir. - If the LED before, during or fter this test shows yellow light, replce the btteries. (Replcement procedure see SP 25, pge 37) 4. If the btteries cn mnge complete cycle ending up with stedy green LED they re OK nd need no replcement. Bttery chrge sttus, LED indiction with mins disconnected OK The LED on the tub control pnel will show green light when running on bttery LOW If the chrge level is low the LED will show yellow light nd buzzer will beep when using the ctutors EMPTY If the bttery is empty there will be no LED. 25

With mins on - push nd relese the stop button () few times to be sure the tub functions re interrupted. WARNING When the mins is shut off by the emergency stop there is still power connected in the control box. Tht s why the mins indictor on the control pnel still shows power on with the green LED. 2. Check tht the emergency stop button is securely fit to the tub. A rottion stop wsher is used here since september 2010 (b). 3. If no function check the emergency stop with connection (connected to the control box position J4) Replce if not functioning. b 27

Test lod: 130 kg (287 lbs.) Use the ArjoHuntleigh lod test equipment nd refer to SP 015 for generl informtion on lod testing. NOTE Do not mke djustments to exceed the bove limits 1. Use three empty 5 l plstic wter brrels. 2. Fill the brrels with led shots up to weight of 130 kg. (Two full nd one 1 / 5 full) 3. Operte the lift t its lowest level. 4. To ensure clenliness, plce suitble lightweight cover on the chir e.g. cloth, plstic or pper sheet. 5. Lod the brrels on the Mlibu chir. 6. Rise the lift to pply nd sustin the test lod of 130 kg for period of pproximtely ten seconds. 7. Lower the lift nd unlod the brrels: check for ny permnent deformtion or dmge. The number of strokes cn be red out on the 8 LED disply () on the Control Box PCB. The counter cn be reset with switch SW2 (b). The life time is displyed in ACTUATOR LIFE- TIME MODE which is entered using the DIPswitch 3 nd 4 (c). To red out the lift rm ctutor life time: 1. On the control bord, set DIP-switch 3 in position ON nd DIP-switch 4 in position OFF to enter ACTUATOR LIFETIME MODE 2. The number of strokes is shown in 8 intervls from >0 strokes =LED 0 green to mximum >17000 strokes with LED:s lit ccording to tble below. The LED:s re lit up from bottom to top. Check the wheel tred: Check for splits/ crcks, flt spots, missing sections or ny visible dmge. Replce if ny of the before mentioned is found. 5. Plce the product upright for further testing. 6. Check function of brkes (if pplicble) by pplying the brkes nd push the product forwrd: The brkes must lock the wheels nd the brke lever must function on/off 7. Apply lod to the product (pprox. 80 kg) nd crry out mnoeuver bility test: It must be possible to mnoeuver in ll directions requiring little effort. If ny of these criteri re not met the complete cstor/s must be replced. 8. The decision must be mde by the service technicin s to the replcement of the cstors. Disconnect ctutor cbling, connected just outside the control box (p), cut the strps holding the cble 17.Support the ctutor from below then remove clevis pin nd cotter pin (r) holding the ctutor to the ttchment, 18.Lower the ctutor gently together with the outer profile (s) down to the floor nd the divided rottion bering (t) in the top ttchment will fll out mking it possible to recline the outer profile 19.The ctutor cn be removed by gently lifting the outer profile (s) reclining it to be ble to pull out the ctutor. If wooden pin is missing the lift ctutor must be lowered ccording to SP26 to be ble to ttch the lower screw for the PCB. 1. Remove the tub front nd inner cover on lift rm side 2. Remove the chir from lift rm 3. Remove screws () holding the lift rm 4. Remove screws holding (b) top bushings. One screw holds the top of the PCB inside 5. Lift up, remove rm nd bushings (c) from tub. Support the PCB with tool (d) so it will not drop down when the lower screw is removed 6. Rise the tub to top position (If no Hi/lo ctutors rise 30 cm) 7. Relese the swing ctutor (e) from the lift rm 8. Rotte the pillr so the lower screw for the PCB (f) is in front of you nd remove it 9. Disconnect cbling from lift rm PCB (g), cut the strps holding the cble 10.Attch thin wire (h) to the PCB cbling mking it esier to pull down the new PCB (see below) 11.Pull up the PCB. Generic Glue Repir Instruction his instruction is generic glue instruction when prts / brckets hs seprted from the glss fiber nd the technicin performing the procedure must therefore dpt these generic instructions to their specific repir. Repir Mteril The following tools nd components re needed: Adhesive ( )1 pcs. Adhesive gun ( ) 1 pcs. Acetone Minor qty. Tpe mesure 1pcs. Rgs Minor qty. Quick clmps 2 pcs. Crdbord or pper towels Minor qty. Glue Instruction 1. Gin ccess to the loose prt by removing covers nd/or pnels. 2. Locte the loose brcket/s 3. Identify the erlier position of the brcket using old glue nd mrk out the position (by scrtching or felt tip mrker) 4. Remove loose glue 5. Determine how you could fixte the item in the correct position for 1 hour before going to point 6 (quick clmp, support brcing, tpe etc.) This does not require much force, only enough to fixte the brcket without pushing the dhesive from the bonding points 6. Both brcket nd fiberglss tub shell bonding surfces needs to be clened using cetone on rgs to ensure good dhesion. 7. Cover door rils, motor, floor etc. with crdbord or pper towels in cse of dripping glue 8. The dhesive hs limited open time so once you strt dispensing dhesive through the dosing pipe you must complete the 45

Assemble the dhesive gun nd dispense continuous line on the crdbord, discrd the first 2 inches of dhesive to ensure tht mixing is tking plce, go to the next step immeditely or the dhesive strts curing in the dosing pipe. 9. Apply glue to the loose brcket/s using the gun, pply s shown right. 10.Do not over-do the dhesive, it must be llowed to spred over entire surfce when compressed but not so much tht it spills over. 11.Fixte ccording to point 5 12.Let dry for (minimum of 45 minutes but preferbly) one full hour llowing the dhesive to cure 13.While the dhesive is curing, remove ll crdbord/pper towels used s drip protection 14.Remove fixtions when time hs elpsed nd run the functions to ensure tht they ll work s intended, djust if needed/possible 15.Ressemble covers nd/or pnels 16.Restore product to its originl loction. 46
