5 distribution components fuse-bases 1-pole / surface mounting AC 690V Sizes 00-4a / 160A-1600A Product definition The dimensions of fuse bases of the sizes 00-3, 160A-630A for wall mounting are standardised in accordance with DIN Their technical values are laid down in IEC/EN (see fuse switch-disconnectors). They are designed for voltages of AC690V and DC440V. They are suitable for the insertion of fuse links in accordance with DIN and for knife disconnection contacts. They are actuated with fuse handles in accordance with DIN or VDE The bases are normally equipped with screw terminals for cable lugs. Direct connection terminals are available as an option. They are available either in an open design or with covers to prevent inadvertent contact. A mechanical fuse monitoring device, used together with fuse links with actuating pin, indicates the failure of a fuse (mechanical fuse monitoring Version K in size 00 retrofittable and with sizes 1-3 only installs available). Applications The fuse bases are mounted on plates in low-current distributors or installed in insulating housings. 8-4

13 distribution components fuse-bases 1-pole / surface mounting AC 1200V Sizes 1-3 / 250A-630A Product definition The fuse bases of the sizes 1-3, 250A-630A, can be used only together with fuse links, isolating blades and handles made by the same manufacturer, since they are not subject to any DIN standard. The versions Size 1 and Size 2 are supplied complete with contact covers (H). They can also be supplied, if desired, with mechanical fuse monitoring (K). The connection contacts are equipped with screw connectors for cable lugs. Applications Fuse unit for the protection of equipment and cables in DC and three-phase systems. For example for long-distance power transmission, for remote agricultural companies or for DC systems with voltages of up to 1000V, such as electroplating companies or railway systems. 8-12

PARTITION WALL The partition wall provides screening between the phases. SIDE WALL The side wall provides screening between the fuse base and any neighbouring devices. ASE COVER When working on a disconnected circuit, the base cover prevents inadvertent connection of the circuit. It also prevents inadvertent contact with the live contacts inside the fuse base. FUSE HANDLE This handle, which complies with DIN , is used for inserting and removing the fuse links. MECHANICAL FUSE MONI- TOR In conjunction with fuse-links with striker, the mechanical fuse monitor indicates fuse failure. ISOLATING LADES The isolating blades are suitable for use in fuse bases, for 1200V, of the sizes 1 to 3. SNAP-ON FUSE HANDLES 1200V The snap-on fuse handles are used for the insertion and removal of LV HRC fuse links and isolating blades. MECHANICAL FUSE-MONI- TOR Mechanical fuse monitoring for signalling of fuse failures.
