3 SWITCHGEAR 6 GENERAL INFORMATION GENERAL INFORMATION ARS vertical fuse switch disconnectors are designed for the distribution of electricity and protection against short circuits and overloads in three phase alternative current circuits. They are intended for direct installation on horizontal or vertical busbar systems. Their modern and compact design give much saving of space in substations and distribution boards. Each type is suitable for top cable terminal connection when installed on horizontal busbar system. Removal of the fuse link provides clearly noticeable, large isolating distance in the circuit. ARS vertical fuse switch disconnectors have making capacity in utilization categories: AC-21B, AC-22B, AC-23B. Easy installation of earthing devices is another advantage. ARS vertical fuse switch disconnectors are designed to perform the following functions: protection distribution earthing switching touch protection. All technical parameters required by standards and growing requirements of the market have been taken into account in design (conformity with EN ). Several advices and remarks from business partners have been also taken into account. CONSTRUCTION ARS vertical fuse switch disconnectors are manufactured in two versions: single pole switching (separately each pole) triple pole switching (three poles at the same time) They have manually operated handle therefore making and breaking operations should be done with determined movement. Silver plated contacts provide low power loss. Depending on clamp type, ARS fuse switch disconnectors enable user to connect circular or sector-shaped cables or cables with lug terminals. Voltage test is performed through test holes leading to blade contacts. ARS fuse switch disconnectors are adapted for using current transformers and ammeters. Protection degree of IP30 is provided. Additionally offered accesories enable to install ARS fuse switch disconnectors of different sizes on common busbar systems. Special versions of ARS fuse switch disconnectors are available on cutomers request e. g. ARS 2/400 A, ARS 3/630 A with terminals for connection of cables with crosssection of 2x240 mm 2. All sizes of vertical fuse switch disconnectors are provided complete with clamps (i. e. screw, S-bridge, V-shaped) and shrouds for cable terminals.
