8 Opertor Sfety / SNOWTHROWERS This snowthrower is cpble of mputting hnds nd feet nd throwing objects. Filure to observe the following sfety instructions could result in serious injury. Red these sfety rules, nd the sfety rules in your trctor Opertor s Mnul, nd follow them closely. Filure to obey these rules could result in loss of control of vehicle, severe personl injury to yourself, or dmge to property or equipment. The tringle in the text signifies importnt cutions or wrnings which must be followed. Opertor Sfety 8 DANGER Amputtion hzrd The dischrge chute contins rotting impeller to throw snow. Fingers cn quickly become cught in the impeller. Never cler or unclog the dischrge chute with your hnds. Alwys use clen-out tool. Filure to observe these sfety instructions will result in trumtic mputtion or severe lcertion. Hnd contct with the rotting impeller inside the dischrge chute is the most common cuse of injury ssocited with snowthrowers. Never use your hnds to clen out the dischrge chute. To sfely cler clogged dischrge chute, follow these instructions: 1. Shut OFF the engine. 2. Wit 10 seconds to be sure the impeller bldes hve stopped rotting. 3. Alwys use clen-out tool, not your hnds. Generl Red this mnul nd the trctor Opertor s Mnul crefully. Be thoroughly fmilir with the controls nd the proper use of the equipment. If snowthrower is equipped with spring-ssist tension lever, never pull the spring-ssist tension lever bck unless snowthrower is in fully rised position. The spring is under tension when snowthrower is in lowered position. Never llow children to operte the mchine. Do not llow dults to operte it without proper instruction. Do not crry pssengers. Keep the re of opertion cler of ll persons, prticulrly smll children, nd pets. Never direct dischrge chute towrds bystnders. Mke sure ll hrdwre is secure nd tht snowthrower is in good operting condition. Check to be sure ll sfety devices nd shields re in plce. Check tht ll djustments re correct before using this unit. Preprtion Never ttempt to mke ny djustments while engine is running. Thoroughly inspect the re where the snowthrower is to be operted nd remove ll foreign objects. Adjust the skid shoe height to cler grvel or crushed stone surfce. See the Mintennce nd Adjustments section for procedure. One wheel weight on ech rer wheel or rer weights is required. Opertion Exercise extreme cution when operting on, or crossing, grvel drives, wlks or rods. Sty lert for hidden hzrds or trffic. Never llow nyone in front of the mchine while it is operting. After striking n object or if unit strts to vibrte bnormlly, stop the engine, disengge the PTO, nd remove the key. Check for the cuse nd ny dm-ge before restrting. Before ny inspection, mke sure ll moving prts hve stopped. Tke ll possible precutions before leving opertor s position. Disengge the PTO, lower the ttchment, set the prking brke, stop the engine nd remove the key. Never operte the snowthrower ner glss enclosures, utomobiles, window wells, dropoffs, etc., without proper djustment of dischrge ngle. Do not overlod mchine cpcity by ttempting to cler snow t too fst rte. Never operte unit t high trnsport speeds on slippery surfces. Use cre when trvelling in reverse. Disengge power to snowthrower when trnsporting or not in use. Never operte the snowthrower without good visibility or light. Alwys be sure your feet re properly plced on the footrests nd keep firm hold on the steering wheel.

9 Opertor Sfety / SNOWTHROWERS WARNING Perform the Sfety System Interlock test found in your trctor Opertor s Mnul. If trctor does not pss the test, do not operte the trctor. See your uthorized deler. Under no circumstnces should you ttempt to defet the sfety system. Recommended Accessories Tire chins re recommended when instlling this ttchment to your unit. Sfety Decls Operting on Slopes WARNING Never operte on slopes greter thn 10. Select slow ground speed before driving onto slope. Avoid using brkes to control speed. Drive up nd down the fce of the slopes, never cross the slope fce. Use cution when chnging directions nd DO NOT START OR STOP ON A SLOPE. 10 Assembly WARNING Before beginning ny service work turn off the PTO, set the prking brke, turn off the ignition, nd disconnect the sprk plug wire(s). Refer to Trctor operting mnul for mower removl. Assemble Hitch 1. Attch the support clmp (AA, Figure 1) to the subfrme hitch (BB) with crrige bolts (A), wshers (B), lockwshers (C), nd nuts (D). Support clmp should be ble to slide. Do not tighten the hrdwre t this time. It will be tightened in Step 6 of Instll Sub- Frme Hitch. 2. Insert hook ssembly (CC) into support clmp. Assemble Push Br Ltch For 2012 Models & Previous Yers 1. Attch push br ltch (DD, Figure 2) onto ech side of sub-frme hitch (BB). Secure with cpscrews (E) nd nuts (G) on both sides. NOTE: Refer to Figure 2 for four wheel drive nd two wheel drive push br ltch plcement. 11 Assembly Brcket Instlltion For 2013 Models & Proceeding Yers 2-Wheel Drive / Right Side 1. Attched LEFT side of push br (DD) to sub-frme hitch (BB) s shown in Figure On the RIGHT side, insert cpscrews (F, Figure 3) through holes (shown in Figure 3) of sub-frme hitch (BB), push br ltch (BB) nd RH spring ssist brcket (EE). Secure with nuts (G). For 2013 Models & Proceeding Yers 4-Wheel Drive / Right Side 1. Attched LEFT side of push br (DD) to sub-frme hitch (BB) s shown in Figure On the RIGHT side, insert cpscrews (F, Figure 4) through holes (shown in Figure 4) of sub-frme hitch (BB), push br ltch (BB) nd RH spring ssist brcket (EE). Verify belt prt number (found on the bck of belt) is correct for your snowthrower. - Single-stge snowthrower belt number is Two-stge snowthrower belt number is Instll correct belt for your snowthrower ccording to the number listed bove. 3. For correct belt instlltion, refer to Figure 38, pge 20. NOTE: Removl of belt my require loosening or disssembly of L-shped belt guide brcket from pulleys 2 nd 4. 11

12 Assembly Instll Lock Plte - Hydrulic Lift Models Only NOTE: Non-lbeled prts in Figure 5 & 7 re pre-existing. 1. Instll the lock plte (FF, Figure 5) with existing pin nd dditionl pin (H). Secure with existing hir pin nd dditionl hir pin (I). The pre-existing wshers re not used with the lock plte. 3. Remove the hir pin (b, Figure 7) nd pin (c) securing the spcer (d). NOTE: If the lift brs re different, replce existing lift br with provided lift br using existing hrdwre. 4. Re-instll the pin from Step 3 through the top hole in the lift cm (e), through the rer hole in the lift br (GG), spcer (d), nd secure with the hir pin (b) s shown in Figure 7. Hydrulic Lift Models Mnul Lift Models e c H FF Figure 5 Mnul Lift Models Only NOTE: The following section pplies to trctors with fctory instlled lift lever ONLY. 1. Plce the lift lever in the ttchment-rised (bck) position. Tke note of the position of the spring through the lift br (GG, Figure 7). It will be required to reinstll the spring through the lift br. 2. Loosen the mnul lift djustment bolt (, Figure 6) until the bolt cn be slid out of the groove in the bulkhed. Remove the spring nd bolt nd set side. I GG Figure 7 5. Plce the lift lever in the ttchment-lowered (forwrd) position. 6. Reinstll the lift ssist spring in its originl orienttion. 7. Reinstll the mnul lift djustment bolt (Figure 6) in the bulkhed nd tighten. Instll Sub-Frme Hitch 1. Slide the sub-frme hitch (BB, Figure 8) under the trctor. NOTE: For 4 wheel drive trctors, insert push br from side of trctor insted of front. BB d b Figure 6 Figure 8 12

13 Assembly 2. Rise the rer of the hitch nd plce the hook ssembly (CC, Figure 9) over the lift shft between the welded wshers. 5. Push the support clmp bckwrds until it is snug ginst the hook ssembly. Tighten the nuts on the support clmp. 6. Tighten the hrdwre instlled in Step 1 of Assemble Hitch section. Instll Rer Lift Rod NOTE: The following section pplies to trctors with fctory instlled lift lever AND/OR hydrulic lift models. 1. Slide the lift lever ssembly (JJ, Figure 11) onto the end of the trctor lift shft under the right side footrest. Use the tbs () on the lift lever to cpture the trctor lift rm (b). CC b Figure 9 3. Connect the front of the hitch to the trctor J-hooks (, Figure 10) using the ltch rod (HH) nd hir pin (J) in the top holes of the push br ltch. 4. Secure the front of the hitch to the trctor by ttching the hitch rod (II) nd hir pin (J) in the bottom hole of the push br ltch. 14 Assembly 3. Secure lift rod ssembly with sfety clip (, Figure 13). Secure lift lever ssembly with clevis pin (K) nd sfety clip (L). 3. Remove chute retiner (d, Figure 15) nd plstite screw (e), locted on the reinforcement ring ger (f) of dischrge chute ssembly (LL). K LL d L Figure 13 e Assemble Dischrge Chute 1. Remove the motor cover (, Figure 14) nd loosen the screws (b) securing the electric spout rottor motor. Remove the motor ger (c) nd set side. c b Figure Instll the dischrge chute ssembly (LL, Figure 16) to the chute ring (f) using the chute retiner (d) previously removed in Step 3 nd plstite screw (e). 15 Assembly 5. Adjust the motor so tht the chute ger (g, Figure 17) meshes with the dischrge chute ring ger (h) nd tighten the djustment screws (i). NOTE: Adjustment mybe required to llow chute to rotte lock to lock freely. g Instll Snowthrower Connect to Hitch 1. Position the snowthrower in front of the hitch. 2. Align holes of snowthrower nd hitch. Insert the hitch pin (OO, Figure 19) through the bck holes. 3. Secure with sfety clip (L). NOTE: The hitch pin (OO) goes in between the belt, NOT below or bove it. h i L Figure Re-ttch the motor cover () s shown in Figure 14. Attch Deflector Control Cble Support Arm 1. Remove crrige bolt nd nut pre-ssembled on control cble support rm (MM) nd retin for next step. 2. Assemble the deflector control cble support rm (MM, Figure 18) to the left side of the snowthrower (NN) using crrige bolt () nd nut (b). MM NN Figure 19 Instll Front Lift Rod 1. Attch the front of the lift rod ssembly (KK, Figure 20) to the lift rm (). Secure with sfety clip (b). The distnce from the collr to the end of the rod should be 4 1 /2 inches for trctors with fctory instlled lift lever ONLY. Adjust s needed for height nd tension. 16 Assembly Instll Chute Rottor Switch Non-Electric Height-of-Cut Units NOTE: Model yer trctor s 2012 nd erlier with nonelectric height of cut refer to service bulletin for proper chute electric component requirements. Model yer trctor s 2009 to present continue with mnul instructions. Non electric height-of-cut units cn be identified by the flt plug in the dshbord s shown in Figure Plug femle connector of the switch wire hrness (, Figure 21) into chute control switch (M). 4. Locte the trctor power leds (Figure 24), red with yellow stripe (c) nd blck (d), t the bse of steering column. Connect these leds, color to color, to the switch wire hrness (). c c d Figure Remove plug (b, Figure 22) from right side of dshbord. Figure 22 b M 3. Route the switch wire hrness (, Figure 23) with ttched switch (L) through opening in dshbord. Snp switch into dshbord to secure. Figure Thred switch wire hrness (, Figure 25) through bulk hed. Figure Proceed to Instll Wire Hrness to Chute Hrness section. Electric Height-of-Cut Units On units with electric height-of-cut, use the toggle switch (, Figure 26) locted on the left side of dshbord for chute rottion. 17 Assembly Instll Wire Hrness to Chute Hrness 1. Connect the switch wire hrness (, Figure 27) to the chute wire hrness (N). Secure wire hrness to trctor frme using clip (O). O For 2013 Models & Proceeding Yers (Electric Height-of-Cut Units) 1. Locte the electric height-of-cut hrness (, Figure 29) underneth trctor. NOTE: This hrness ws disconnected when mower ws removed. 2. Connect the electric height-of-cut hrness to the chute rottion hrness (N). N Figure Connect the wire hrness (b, Figure 28) to the snowthrower motor plug (c). Secure wire hrness to snowthrower using zip tie (P). 18 Assembly Instll Spring Anchor For 2012 Models & Previous Yers 1. Open the trctor hood. Instll the spring nchor (PP, Figure 31) by sliding it onto the right side of the bumper. Close trctor hood. Note: Groove () in spring nchor should be down. 2. Remove cpscrew (, Figure 33) from spring nchor ssembly. Insert cpscrew through snowthrower brcket (b) nd screw into retiner nd speed nut (c). 3. 19 Assembly Mount Remote Deflector Control 1. Using the templte (, Figure 35) included in the bck of this mnul, drill two 9/32 holes in the left side of the dshbord to mount the remote chute control. Rer Lift Rod Altertion Units with Suspension On units with suspension, djustment hndle (, Figure 36) on rer hitch ssembly my interfer with suspension cross shft (b). If so, remove 1 1 / 2 from end of djustment rod. Figure Mount the mounting brcket ssembly (RR, Figure 36) to the dshbord. Secure with cpscrews (), lrge flt wshers (b) nd nuts (c). RR Figure 36 c b 3. Instll the remote deflector control hndle (, Figure 37) in the mounting brcket ssembly nd secure with clevis pin (b) nd hir pin clip (c). Figure 38 Instll Drift Cutters 1. On ech side of snowthrower, insert bottom tb of drift cutter (SS, Figure 39) into slot on snowthrower. Secure in plce with cpscrew (S) nd nut (T). T S SS b b Figure 39 c Figure 37 19

20 Assembly Instll Drive Belt 1. Route the drive belt (TT) s shown in Figure 40. The bck of the belt rides in the bck-side idlers (2 & 4). NOTE: The snowthrower hitch pin goes in between the belt, NOT below or bove it. 2. The following is list of pulley nmes nd type of pulley. Refer to Figure 40 for proper routing of belt. 1 - Snowthrower Input Pulley () 2 - Bckside Idler Pulley (b) 3 - Trctor PTO Pulley () 4 - Bckside Idler Pulley (b) 5 - Idler V-Pulley () 3. With the snowthrower drive belt instlled, the trunnion (, Figure 41) should be between the mrks (b) on spring tension brcket for correct belt tension. Turn belt tension hndle (c) to move trunnion until between mrks. 4. If trunnion cnnot be plced between mrks, loosen cpscrew (d) nd reposition idler V-pulley (5) s necessry. 21 Required Accessories Required Accessories - It is required tht tire chins nd two rer wheel weights or Quick Tch Weights re used. - A Lift Lever Kit is required for some of the models covered by this mnul, nd must be instlled s prt of hitch instlltion. Never operte on slopes greter thn 17.6% (10 ). Recommended Accessories A rer-mounted weight box cn lso be dded for dditionl trction. The mximum weight dded to the trctor should not exceed 35 lbs. per wheel, plus 100 dditionl pounds in the rer weight box. For opertion on slopes greter thn 15% (8.5 ), Quick Tch Weights, tire chins, nd wheel weights re recommended. Never operte on slopes greter thn 17.6% (10 ). DANGER Do not clen out dischrge chute with hnds. Contct with moving prts inside chute will cuse serious injury. Use clen out tool. Use the following procedure to remove objects or cler the chute: 1. Stop the engine. Remove the key 2. Wit 10 seconds to be sure the uger/impeller bldes hve stopped rotting. 3. Alwys use clen-out tool. DO NOT use your hnds. 21

22 Fetures & Controls Control Functions The informtion below briefly describes the function of individul controls. Operting the trctor nd ttchment requires the combined use of these controls nd dditionl controls whose opertion is described in the trctor Opertor s Mnul. Plese tke moment nd fmilirize yourself with the nme, loction, nd function of these controls so tht you will better understnd the sfety nd operting instructions provided in this mnul. Trctor Controls Before you begin operting the trctor nd ttchment, mke certin you hve: Red nd understood the instructions in the trctor Opertor s Mnul. Become thoroughly fmilir with ll of the trctor controls nd their opertion, including how to sfely nd properly strt nd stop the unit. Prctice driving in n open re, without the ttchment, to become ccustomed to the unit. Control Loctions A. Spout Rottor Switch B. PTO Switch C. Hydrulic Lift D. Mnul Lift E. Deflector Control F. Throttle Control A. Electric Spout Rottor Switch Controls the electric spout rottor. B. PTO Switch Engges nd disengges the PTO to strt nd stop the snowthrower. C. Hydrulic Attchment Lift Lever NOTE: The hydrulic lift will only work with the engine running nd the prking brke disengged. The ttchment lift lever rises nd lowers the ttchment. To RAISE the ttchment, pull the lever bck. To LOWER the ttchment, move the lever forwrd. D. Mnul Attchment Lift Lever The ttchment lift lever rises nd lowers the ttchment. To RAISE n ttchment, depress the relese button on top of the lever nd pull bck. To LOWER n ttchment, depress the relese button nd move the lever forwrd. When lowering the ttchment, be sure to push the lever fully forwrd into the locked position. E. Deflector Control The deflector control chnges the ngle of the snowthrower dischrge deflector. Under no circumstnces should you ttempt to defet the sfety system. Use cution when clering snow covered re. Snow cn cover objects such s curbs, drop-offs, nd other obstcles. Be fmilir with the re you re clering. To prevent n explosion or fire, never store the trctor with fuel in the tnk inside building where n ignition source is present. 1. Refer to the Mintennce & Adjustments sections of this mnul nd perform ny needed service. Also, refer to the trctor Opertor s Mnul nd perform ny required service. 2. Remove ny objects from the work re which might be cught in, or thrown by, the uger. 3. Before strting the engine, cler the uger of ny ice prticles which my cuse dmge to uger. 4. Adjust the deflector nd skid shoes to desired height. See Skid Shoe Adjustment nd Deflector Adjustment. 5. Mke sure ll hrdwre is present nd secure. Engine & Ground Speed Selection Alwys run the engine t full throttle. Normlly, slow ground speed is best for throwing snow. The deeper or hevier the snow, the slower the recommended ground speed. Strting & Stopping 1. Strt the trctor engine. Set engine throttle FULL. 2. Lower the snowthrower. 3. Engge the electric clutch switch. Snowthrower uger should rotte. Disengge the electric clutch switch. Snowthrower uger should stop. 4. Adjust the throttle to full speed. Select the proper ground speed. 5. To stop trctor movement, depress the clutch/brke pedl. To stop the snowthrower, disengge the electric clutch. Before leving the set, disengge the electric clutch, set the prking brke, stop the engine, remove the key, nd wit for ll moving prts to stop. IMPORTANT NOTE Alwys rise the snowthrower before turning or bcking up to prevent dmge to the unit. DANGER OPERATING ON SLOPES CAN BE DANGEROUS Never operte on slopes greter thn 17.6% (10 ) which is rise of 3-1/2 feet (106cm) verticlly in 10 feet (607cm) horizontlly. Operte the unit t slow ground speed when driving onto slope. Avoid using brkes to control ground speed. When operting on slopes tht re greter thn 15 % (8.5 ) but less thn 17.6%, use dditionl wheel weights or counterweights. In ddition to counterweights, use extr cution when operting on slopes. Drive UP nd DOWN the slope, never cross the fce, use cution when chnging directions nd DO NOT START OR STOP ON SLOPE. For dditionl trction, tire chins nd weight box cn be dded. Mximum weight dded to trctor should not exceed 50 lbs. per wheel nd 100 dditionl lbs. in weight box. Trnsporting 1. Disengge the electric clutch nd then rise the snowthrower. 2. Adjust ground speed ccording to surfce conditions. 3. Select low ground speed when trnsporting on slippery surfce. 23

24 Opertion Snow Removl Suggestions Determine the best snow removl pttern before beginning. Wind direction is n importnt fctor to consider. Rotte the spout to dischrge snow downwind. Pln the pttern so tht you void throwing snow on clered res nd on yourself s you re operting. When lnd contour permits, it is best to trvel in the longest direction to minimize turning. In very deep or hevy snow, it my be necessry to mke the first pss with snowthrower prtilly rised, bcking up every few feet nd lowering the snowthrower to cler the snow left on the surfce. Also, it my be necessry to slice off less thn the full width of the uger or reduce ground speed. If snow stops flowing freely from the spout, bck wy until the snowthrower clers itself. DANGER If the uger stlls or the chute plugs, DISENGAGE THE ELECTRIC CLUTCH, STOP THE ENGINE AND REMOVE THE KEY. SET THE PARKING BRAKE. WAIT FOR MOVING PARTS TO STOP. Remove the foreign object or cler the spout with piece of wood before restrting the engine. Never plce hnds into uger housing or spout to cler jmmed object. Auger my rotte when object is removed. Dily Storge 1. Run the snowthrower few minutes fter blowing snow to prevent freeze-up of uger. 2. Allow trctor engine to cool before storing in ny enclosure. Off-Seson Storge 1. Remove snowthrower from the trctor. 2. Use wter pressure or brush to thoroughly clen the housing. 3. Pint, or lightly cot with oil, ny re where pint hs been worn or chipped wy. 4. Lubricte the snowthrower. 5. Store the snowthrower nd hitch in dry plce. 24

25 Opertion Lift Vritions When Using Attchments When front-mounted ttchment such s snowthrower or dozer blde is used with the trctor, the lift mechnism must be locked to provide downwrd force. When the mower is reinstlled the downwrd pressure lock must be relesed so tht the mower cn flot. Hydrulic Lift Models When using snowthrower or dozer, the downwrd pressure lock plte (Figure 44) nd n dditionl pin is instlled. These prts re included with the ttchment. Note tht the wshers re not used with the lock plte. When mowing, the downwrd pressure lock plte is removed nd replced with two wshers. The dditionl pin is lso removed. Fully lower the hydrulic lift. The lift ssembly is spring loded so it will need to be held in the down position to perform of the following procedures. Mnul Lift Models NOTE: These instructions pply to Conquest / 1700 / 2700 Series trctors or Brodmoor / 1600 / 2600 Series trctors equipped with lift lever kit. Add Simplicity Winter Weight Worm Ger Oil until the oil level is even with the fill plug hole. 3. Reinstll the plug. Cre Required Clen snow nd ice from snowthrower. Lubricte snowthrower. The ger box oil cpcity is 12 oz. The gerbox cn be ccessed from the rer of the snowthrower ttchment. 1. Remove the oil fill plug (, Figure 47) from the top of the gerbox. 2. Insert piece of wire into the gerbox to check the oil level. 3. Add 85W-90 ger lube oil if required. The box should be pproximtely hlf full. Air spce is required for oil expnsion. 4. 28 Troubleshooting Skid Shoe Adjustment On smooth surfces such s concrete or sphlt, the scrper br should scrpe the surfce. On surfces such s grvel, the scrper br should be set high enough so tht it will not pick up debris. 1. Loosen the nuts securing the skid shoes s shown in Figure Rise or lower the scrper br to the desired height. Use wood blocks to hold the snowthrower in position. 3. Set the skid shoes so tht they re in contct with the ground nd tighten the skid shoe nuts. Auger Sher Pins The uger sher pins (, Figure 50) re designed to brek if the uger strikes n object. Replce the sher pins with originl fctory specifiction sher pins ONLY. Impeller sher bolt locted on shft, in front of impeller. Loosen Nuts to Adjust Figure 48 Electric Chute Rottor Ger 1. Remove the cover nd loosen the three screws (, Figure 49) securing the electric spout rottor motor. 2. Adjust the motor so tht it meshes with the dischrge chute ring ger nd tighten the djustment screws. 3. Reinstll the cover. The impeller sher bolt is locted in the impeller shft between the impeller nd uger ger box s shown in Figure 50. Replce the sher bolt ONLY with 5/16-18 x 1 Grde 5 bolt. Lift Adjustment In the fully rised position the ttchment should be 4-5 off the ground. In the fully lowered position, the lift rod should compress the spring creting downwrd pressure on the snowthrower. NOTE: Alwys djust the lift height before nd fter djusting the downwrd pressure. Lift Height Adjustment 1. Fully rise the ttchment lift. The snowthrower should be pproximtely 4-5 off the ground. If not, go to step Lower the snowthrower nd djust the front set collr (, Figure 51) to chieve the correct lift height. Downwrd Pressure Adjustment NOTE: Check tht the lift br or lock plte re in the correct positions. 1. Plce the lift in the fully rised position. 2. Relese the rer set collr (b). 3. Slide the set collr forwrd until it is slightly compressing the lift rod spring (c). Tighten the set collr screw. Do not over-compress the lift rod spring. 28

In ddition to providing downwrd pressure, the spring is n elstic medium tht bsorbs shocks cused by bumps nd crcks in ground surfces. Over-compressing the spring defets this nd my cuse dmge to the unit. Lift Assist Adjustment Tighten the lift ssist bolt (, Figure 52) to increse the mount of lift ssist. b Figure 53 d Belt Replcement 1. Loosen the drive belt by turning the hndle (c, Figure 54). 2. Remove the belt from the pulley (1, Figure 54) inside the snowthrower nd remove the snowthrower from the trctor. 3. Loosen the lockwshers nd nuts securing two belt stops on idler pulleys (4 nd 5). 4.
