2 BENDNG ROLLS FAST -- ACCURATE -- VERSATLE Commercially accurate circles, segments and spiral bending are turned out at high production rates by these compact, efficient machines. Occupying little floor space, they offer extremely wide and flexible capacity ranges. An outstanding time and money saving feature is the hydraulic adjustment of the top roll. This provides the operator with fingertip control of the full roll tonnage... speeds. removal of small rolled sections... permits bringing movable roll down at any point on a work piece thereby making "U" bends formerly considered impossible for manually operated machines. Durable service is assured by a heavy duty semi-steel frame capable of maximum bends without distortion. Roll shafts are hardened steel forgings.... alloy steel roll pinions with flame hardened teeth. All three roll shafts are driven which makes heavy duty small diameter bends a practical shop operation. Motive power is supplied through directconnected high torque motors. (To realize full potential, it is necessary to have a motor with at least 275% minimum pull out torque at full voltage). Standard equipment includes grease fittings for gun lubrication. A manually operated positive displacement lubrication system is available as a recommended option. Other design features, worth noting, in" elude the overhanging rolls which permit easy removal of finished work without dropping a housing. Lower rolls, on close centers, which minimize straight ends on finished circles. The attachment 1s a hardened alloy steel finger, tipped with a very hard tool weld, to reach a maximum range of diameters. t may be used when bending angles leg-out and also on other sections to assure a uniform diameter. Within limits, it is possible to overbend and straighten. An experienced operator can use it to hold both leg-in and leg-out angles square. Difficult small diameter bending is facilitated through the use of the leg-in attachment combined with spacers in the top roll to contact the leg extending toward the inside of the circle. All angle rolls in the "Buffalo" line are designed for such spacers. The rings themselves are available as an optional extra, or prints can be furnished.
