Both our standard Power Pinner 7005 and 7005 RF have an integrated weld and dwell time setting so that the operator need only turn the weld setting up for longer pins or thicker metal. The only other controls are a rapid-fire on/off switch and a feeder bowl speed control. There is also an LED voltage display to alert the operator to low voltage situations. The Rapid Fire (RF) option allows the operator to continuously fasten weld pins at a rate of one pin every 2 seconds without taking their foot off the pedal. This maximizes the machine speed for the fastest possible pinning operation. Flip the switch and the machine returns to the manual mode for larger pieces of duct.

This drive powers the heads forward at the same speed as the sheet metal, whenever the machine is pinning. As soon as the machine stops pinning, air cylinders move the drive heads back towards the insulator. The PLC optimizes the head travel so that full ten-foot sheets may be insulated with pins on six-inch centers. The split pin track keeps a reserve of pins ready to load in the lower track every time the heads return to the starting position.
