Concave Sensor Zero Calibration - conc Header Calibration - hdr CONTOUR MASTER Angle Sensor Calibration - tilt (Optional) Hydraulic Adjustable Deck Plate (optional) Sensor Calibration dec Active Float Calibration - FLO If any errors occur during the calibration procedures, error codes will be displayed on the triple display tachometer. NOTE: The condition causing the error must be corrected before the calibration can be continued. Concave Sensor Zero Calibration The concave position sensor is calibrated using the concave calibration procedure. The concave calibration procedure must be performed before first use, after replacing any of the sensors or changing concaves. NOTE: If the sensor has been replaced, be certain concave and separator are clear of crop material. 1. Turn the key switch to the run position or start the combine. 2. Press the calibration switch. CAL and conc will appear on the triple display tachometer. 3. Press the enter switch. conc will appear on the upper line of the triple display tachometer. CLOS will appear on the second line.

2 4. To set zero setting: Press and hold the (-) symbol on the concave clearance switch until the concave is completely closed (clicking sound will be heard). As the (-) symbol is being pressed, the numbers that appear on the middle line of the display will decrease until the concave is completely closed. 5. Press the enter switch. conc will appear on the upper line of the triple display tachometer. CLOS will appear on the second line. 6. Press the calibration switch. Zero (0) will be displayed on the triple display tachometer for two seconds, then EOC will be displayed. 7. Press the ENTER switch to store the calibration value. Note : Pressing the back arrow switch will abort calibration and not save values.

3 Header Calibration The header calibration must be performed when a header is first used with a combine or when any of the sensors are replaced. The Height Resume sensor must be operating. Prepare the header for calibration: Attach header to combine and connect header harness to combine harness Make sure header height sensors (if equipped) are operating Start combine and drive onto a level firm surface 1. Press the diagnostic switch. DIA will appear on the triple display tachometer. 2. Press the calibration switch. CAL and conc will 3. Press the up or down arrow keys until CAL and hdr 4. Press the enter switch to access the header calibration mode. hdr and H-dn (P-dn will appear for a HYDRAFLEX head that has pressure in it) will now

4 5. Establish sensor minimum setting. Lower and tilt the header with the header raise/lower and tilt switch until it rests flat on the ground. 6. If H-dn is displayed, go to next step. If P-dn is displayed, decrease HYDRAFLEX pressure with the HYDRAFLEX button until pressure is below 1000 psi (6900 kpa) (69 bar). HYDRAFLEX pressure will be displayed as the pressure is lowered. H-dn will appear when pressure is below 1000 psi (6900 kpa) (69 bar). 7. Press the calibration switch. hdr and H-UP will be displayed on the triple display tachometer. 8. Establish sensor maximum setting. Raise the header completely with the header raise/lower switch. 9. Press the calibration switch. EOC will be displayed on the triple display tachometer. 10. Press the enter switch to save the calibration values and return to normal operation. Press the back arrow switch to return to normal operation. Note : Pressing the back arrow switch will abort calibration and not save values.

5 Contour Master Angle Sensor Calibration The Contour Master Angle Sensor is calibrated using the contour master calibration procedure. The contour master calibration procedure must be performed before initial use or when the Contour Master Sensor is replaced. Prepare the header for calibration: Make sure the Contour Master Sensor is operating. Start the combine and raise the header completely. 1. Press the diagnostic switch. DIA will appear on the triple display tachometer. 2. Press the calibration switch. CAL and conc will 3. Press the up or down arrow switch to access the tilt calibration mode. CAL and tilt will appear on the triple display tachometer. 4. Press the enter switch. tilt and L dn will 5. To establish the left tilt sensor setting: Press and hold the left side of the tilt switch until the feederhouse rotates completely to the left. This establishes the left sensor setting.

For a visual indication of whether the header is level with the combine chassis, the contour master feederhouse is equipped with a manual indicator. When the notch is in the center of the rubber seal, the header is approximately level with the combine body. 10. Use the tilt switch to level the feederhouse. 7 Deck Plate Sensor Zero Calibration The deck plate position sensor is calibrated using the deck plate calibration procedure. The deck plate calibration procedure must be performed before initial use or when the deck plate position sensor is replaced. Prepare the header for calibration: Attach corn head to the combine and attach header harness to the combine harness. Make sure deck plate position sensor is operating. Start the combine. 1. Press the diagnostic switch. dia will 2. Press the calibration switch. CAL and conc will appear on the triple display tachometer. 3. Press the up or down arrow switch until CAL and dec appear on the triple display tachometer. 4. Press the enter button. dec and CLOS will appear on the triple display tachometer.

8 5. To set the sensor minimum setting: Press and hold the right side of the reel fore/aft switch until the deck plates are completely closed. 6. Press the CAL button. dec and OPEN will 7. 9 Clearing Service Internals Every 50 hours of run time a service warning will appear. The following steps will show you how the clear it. Setting Grain Loss Monitor When you have made all the adjustments to the combine and checked for grain loss behind the combine you can calibrate the grain loss monitor. 1. You need to select your seed size by pushing the seed size button on the corner post display. 2. As you are combining in normal crop at the normal ground speed, push the cal button on the corner post.
