Second Street, Ishpeming, Michigan until 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on Monday, February 16, 2015, for: Zero (0) to Four (4) Tandem Axle Truck Equipment Packages to include 14 ft radius dump box, fuel/hydraulic tanks, hydraulics controls, underbody scraper assembly, patrol wing, front plow hitch, tarp system, and material distribution assembly. Zero (0) to Six (6) underbody scraper assemblies (uninstalled) Zero (0) to Six (6) one-way plows (uninstalled) Zero (0) to Four (4) Tandem Axle Specialty Trucks and bid forms may be obtained the Marquette County Road Commission office. All bids shall be marked February 16, 2015 along with the particular item bid on the envelope and must be presented on our bid form. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities in any bid, or to accept any bid or part of bid they deem most advantageous to Marquette County. 2 Radius Dump and Spread Body w/front Cross Conveyor Make and model bid: Body shall be versatile with the ability to be used as a dump body or as a spreader to allow material to discharge through the tailgate onto a spinner assembly or forward to a cross conveyor, by way of an integral center conveyor assembly. The body shall be 14 feet in length, top inside width shall be 87 inches, and with the total outside width being 96 inches. The side height of the body shall be 44 inches, with the tailgate height 50 inches. The body capacity shall be 10.5 cubic yards, water level full and with 12 side boards. The unit shall be made 304 SS and continuously welded 100% throughout. The sides, front and tailgate shall be manufactured of 3/ stainless steel. The longsills shall be fabricated ¼ 304 stainless steel, 14 deep. Front panel of body shall be supported by two vertical channels extended to the longsills. The longsills shall be joined as follows: Sections of 4 formed channel are welded every two feet the length of the spreader at the base of the longsills, where the longsills are then boxed in with ¼ 304 stainless steel. Then there shall be 3/16 x 3 x 3 formed angle welded every 12 the full length of the conveyor at the top of the longsills. The unit shall have a ¼ 304 stainless steel replaceable floor with 3/16 removable chain guards. The sides shall be brake formed a minimum 3/ stainless steel to a radius of 43 inches for clean unloading while body is down. Full radius is mandatory. Flat areas or shallow side to conveyor angles are not acceptable. The boxed top rail shall be a minimum of 3/16 formed channel. The front shall be sloped to accommodate a headlift cylinder with partial doghouse and conform with the radius of the body and shall be 100% welded on the inside and outside. to Specs 2015 MCRC Equipment Package Tandem, Page 2

3 Radius Dump and Spread Body w/front Cross Conveyor Make and model bid: The rear of the body shall be supported by two pieces of 3/ stainless steel plate contoured to the radius of the body and welded 100% on both sides. Additional reinforcement will be provided by a 3/16 formed box section, placed at the rear of the spreader body and tied to two rear posts formed 3/ stainless steel. Together, they shall provide support at the rear of the body. Side supports shall be added for body s 13 and longer in length. The side supports shall have 3/16 x 4 x 4 tube extending thru long members with a 3/16 boxed section welded 100% top rail of the body to cross tube. The tailgate shall be a minimum of 6 higher than the sides of the body. The tailgate shall be manufactured 3/ stainless steel with a boxed perimeter of 10 gauge formed channels. The tailgate shall be double acting with a squared perimeter, having two horizontal braces of 10 gauge material full width of the tailgate. The material door shall extend 16 into the interior of the body to prevent material escaping through the partially opened door over the conveyor. The door opening shall be 21 in width by 8-1/2 in height and shall be manufactured of 3/16 material. A gate door shall be supplied on both ends of conveyor and shall be activated by a screw adjustable gate jack. The tailgate shall have 1 x 4 bar stock tailgate hardware with 1-1/4 hardened pins. The tailgate latches shall be 1 flame cut, with each latch being adjustable with threaded ¾ clevis and keeper pins. The latch mechanism shall timed through a common cross shaft and be of an over center type. to Specs 2015 MCRC Equipment Package Tandem, Page 3

4 Radius Dump and Spread Body w/front Cross Conveyor Make and model bid: The body conveyor shall be 34 in width and shall have 26,000 pound tensile strength per strand pintle chain, with 1-1/2 x ½ bar flights on every link. The main conveyor shall not extend beyond the closed tailgate (no exceptions). Front and rear discharge bodies, all sizes shall be driven by two 6:1 spur gearboxes and high torque/low speed hydraulic motors. There shall be 8 tooth case hardened sprockets keyed to the 2 drive and idler shafts. Conveyor drive shaft shall have heavy duty, dust sealed self-aligning four bolt flange bearings. There shall be two heavy-duty idler assemblies with 1-1/4 bolt, that will provide adjustment for proper conveyor chain tension by use of slide rail style adjusters. The front of the long sills shall be designed to accept a 21 wide, chassis frame mounted, cross conveyor. The opening shall be 7 high x 22-1/2 wide. The long sills shall have additional reinforcement in this area. The front cross conveyor shall be of a modular design with an endless belt and capable of discharging left or right onto either an enclosed spinner assembly or gravity chute. The cross conveyor shall be 21 wide, 96 long and mount directly to the chassis frame. The conveyor shall be direct driven hydraulically. The HD, 5 drive and idler rollers shall be self cleaning and of caged design. There shall be two 3 HD caged rollers of the same design for the belt return. All rollers shall have 1-1/4 four-bolt bearings. Conveyor endless belt shall be 20 wide, two-ply, high temp, with the top cover measuring 3/16 and the bottom ply measuring 1/16 and the overall thickness of 3/8. to Specs 2015 MCRC Equipment Package Tandem, Page 4

5 Radius Dump and Spread Body w/front Cross Conveyor Rear Spinner assembly shall be 304SS construction, shall include a dual receiver tube mount. Must be adjustable front to rear. Spinner must include a top deflector baffle and three bottom adjustable deflectors for positioning sand or salt on roadway. Front Spinner Assembly shall be 304 SS construction and will be mounted at the left front of RDS cross conveyor. Spinner must be adjustable to position salt or sand on roadway as needed. Spinner shall be mounted in such a way so it is high enough to not interfere with rotation of underbody scraper. Front spinner assembly shall be used in conjunction with reversible scraper without the need for removal of the right spinner. For ease of seasonal removal. Both spinners shall include quick disconnects. The spinner motors shall be high torque/low speed mounted directly to the spinner disc with a cast hub. The spinner motors must be of the seal saver design or equivalent. The spinner discs shall be manufactured of polyurethane with six molded in fins. Remote grease fittings and line system shall be installed to consolidate fittings in three (3) locations for ease of maintenance. The system shall connect to all grease points, total of 21, except two (2) top tailgate pins, two (2) rear hinge pins and two (2) body prop pivots. 6 Radius Dump and Spread Body w/front Cross Conveyor Make and model bid: The hoist shall be of a telescopic design and have a trunion mounting. A heavy duty relubeable rear hinge shall be provided. The hoist shall be designed to operate up to 2,500 PSI, and shall be self-bleeding. The hoist shall have a ¼ wall construction with bronze glands and pistons to assure a smooth and durable bearing surface. The glands shall each be a continuous cast bearing, SAE-660 bronze with a tensile strength of 44,000 PSI. The cylinder head and piston shall be of a ductile continuously cast iron, with a tensile strength of 60,000 PSI. Each cylinder shall be internally sealed. The inside seals shall be of a u-cup design made of nitral packing. The cylinder shall have a Melonized/Q.P.Q running surface. The Melonized surfaces shall have a predominance of single-phase epsilon nitride. The nitride shall cover the entire cylinder surface. This shall give the cylinder superior wear and corrosion resistance and also shall have superior wear and fatigue properties. The cylinder rod shall be C1045/C1050 steel with a tensile strength of 80,000 to 100,000 pounds. The cylinder tubing shall be D.O.M. tubing, drawn over a mandrel, and shall have tensile strength of 70,000 pounds. The tube shall have a surface harness of 80 Rockwell B. The cylinder shall dismantle easily and overlap between stages for greater stability. The trunion collar shall be oscillating. 7 Radius Dump and Spread Body w/front Cross Conveyor Make and model bid: The welding performed on the body must be in compliance with current AWS procedures and guidelines recognized within the State of Manuf. Manufacturer shall provide caution labels, decals and any warnings deemed necessary. Manufacturer shall attach their standard warranty statement. All components described herein shall carry a minimum one-year warranty. Cab shield, 18 x 3/16 x 78 wide and shall be made of 304SS. Air-close tailgate with a 3-1/2 air cylinder kit Tandem 304 stainless steel fenders mounted to body. Fenders designed to fit tandem axle, made of 3/16 304SS and installed on body; fenders flat on top surface and shall be reinforced to hold additional weight of pre-wet- approx lbs if installed at a later date. to Specs 2015 MCRC Equipment Package Tandem, Page 7

8 Other Body Package Items : Series/Parallel valve at rear for conveyor high/low speed operation, air operated with control in cab. A conveyor activation switch shall be installed at the rear, passenger side of the body which will allow the operator to turn the conveyor on and off that position. The switch shall be weather proof. Tarp System: Shall be equivalent to Mountain, model K612DE. Heavy duty direct electric drive motor, extruded aluminum side arms, undermount torsion springs, aluminum wind deflector, heavy duty switch, asphalt cover. Installed complete. A plastic spill shield must be installed on top of the chassis frame to protect it and components material drag-back. Aluminum shovel holder, mounted on the driver s side of the RDS box, using steel frame-work, poly isolation strips and Stainless steel bolts. 9 Heavy Duty Underbody Scraper Monroe or Root F or Wausau PB : Scraper shall be extra heavy duty for year round use, capable of handling snow pack, ice, and a higher volume of snow at various speeds in the winter season, and be able to do gravel road maintenance and shoulder maintenance throughout the year. The moldboard shall be 1 thick x 20 in height, heat treated carbon steel, 12 in length. The cutting edge shall be a carbide blade ¾ x 6 x 48, curved single bevel, standard MDOT hole punch for 5/8 bolts. The reversing table shall be a 1 solid one-piece circle with infinite plowing positions, available to 45. Circle shall have full ears so the hold down blocks make full contact when the scraper is reversed to a 45 degree angle for maximum bearing surface on circle. Reversing will be accomplished with two 4 double acting cylinders. The cylinders will provide a hydraulic lock for holding the moldboard in place while in use. A cross over relief valve shall be furnished. The cylinder rods shall be 2 in diameter and be nitrated. The cylinders will be mounted with 2 pivot pins. The reversing circle shall pivot around a 5 center pin and be attached with three ¾ mounting bolts to prevent hole elongation and shall be lubricated with a grease zerk. The circle shall also include a replaceable hardened center bushing. The circle hold down blocks shall be 20.5 in length by 7 in depth and bolted to the hanger board as close to the circle as possible for maximum strength. The shape of the hold down blocks shall follow the contour of the circle. Located underneath the hold down blocks shall be a piece of 3/8 UHMW to work as a wear plate for ease of movement of the circle. The hanger brackets shall be one piece, solid, ¾ x 18 x 26, A36 mild steel plate for maximum strength. The hanger board shall be manufactured ½ formed plate, reinforced by ½ x 7-1/2 flat plate and 2-piece ¾ x 2 bar on edge. to spec. to 2015 MCRC Equipment Package Tandem, Page 9

10 Heavy Duty Underbody Scraper Monroe or Root F or Wausau PB : There shall be four grease zerks on the hinge shaft on hinge tube. Lubrication points must be extended to outside of hanger board. The inner hinge shall have two wear plates to prevent side to side shifting of the moldboard. The moldboard actuation will be accomplished by two 3-1/2 double acting cylinders with 2 Socatri piston rods. The canister cylinder assembly shall be retained by a 4- bolt flange assembly. The cylinders shall be mounted in shock housings that are trunion mounted with ¾ thick reinforced steel trunion brackets. ½ hydraulic steel tubing shall be externally mounted for ease of maintenance in poly mounting block assemblies. 11 Rear Mounted Double Function Patrol Wing Make and model bid: The Heavy Duty right side patrol wing shall be designed to mount behind the underbody scraper but shall be fully visible in a spot mirror, which shall increase the driver s visibility by eliminating window obstruction. Low clearance height shall allow the wing moldboard to clear beneath mailboxes. The wing mount reduces the weight off of the front axle. Height of the moldboard inboard shall be 29 inches. The outboard height shall be 29 inches. Both inboard and outboard measurements include an 8 cutting edge. The length of the steel cutting edge shall be 9 feet and shall be a beveled X blade. Moldboard shall be manufactured a commercial grade A569 or equal and be a minimum of 3/16. Moldboard bottom angle or base angle shall be a minimum of 4 x 4 x ¾ thick structural angle iron. The bottom angle shall be reinforced with ½ x 3 x 3 gussets welded approximately every 12. The top edge of the moldboard will be a formed channel 2-1/2 x 1. The upper push arm attaching point and the cylinder lift attaching point will be ½ x 4 x 4 angle iron mounted horizontally between the ribs. The lower push arm attaching point will be 3 x 4 x ½ angle iron. There will be 2 extra ¼ x 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 horizontal support angles. Wing moldboard shall have a minimum ground clearance under the raised moldboard of 8-12 for limited benching purposes. The toe of the wing and the heel of the wing shall EACH be activated with one double-acting cylinder and shall be operated in conjunction with a sequencing valve. The moldboard ribs must be one-piece, flame cut, ½ thick. Ribs will be tapered 2-1/2 at the top of moldboard and 4 at the bottom of the moldboard. Spliced ribs will be unacceptable. The ribs must be continuously welded to the moldboard sheet and to the bottom angle. (9 wing shall have 6 ribs minimum.) to spec MCRC Equipment Package Tandem, Page 11

12 Rear Mounted Double Function Patrol Wing Make and model bid: The wing is standard with two heavy duty, adjustable spring cushioned push arms with a safety shear pin. The outer tube of the lower push arm will be a minimum 2-1/2 I.D. by.300 wall thickness with an inner shaft of a minimum of 2-1/4 O.D solid shaft. This push arm shall have numerous holes for adjustment in and out to help maintain 90 degrees push arm to moldboard. The upper push arm shall be heavy duty and adjustable in length. The outer tube assembly shall be a minimum of OD with a.276 wall thickness. The inner shaft shall be OD 1045 material with holes drilled on 3 centers to allow for adjustment of wing cutting path. The push arm shall pivot on cast steel pivot knuckles and the pins shall be a minimum 1 ¼ diameter. There shall be a mechanical slide assembly in which the 3 x 15 heel lift cylinder attaches which will provide for a minimum of 6 float for the wing heel. The mounting block assembly shall be for a double function wing. The wing shall be mounted so that it will fold closely to the truck and shall be provided with a safety chain on the heel to secure the wing in a folded position for travel. The front wing cross tube shall be fabricated 4 x 6 x ½ steel tube measuring not less than 66. The cross tube shall be mounted under the truck by passing through two steel mounting plates measuring 28 x 16 x ½, each plate pre-fabricated with a single, flame-cut 4-1/4 x 6-1/4 hole position 3 the bottom and 3 the side of the plate. to spec MCRC Equipment Package Tandem, Page 12

13 Rear Mounted Double Function Patrol Wing Make and model bid: The wing post shall allow the toe of the wing moldboard to float freely over rough roads and road shoulders, thus reducing potential damage to the wing and cab/chassis. Wing post shall be a trailing link style with 12 inches of lift and designed to allow the moldboard to float up a minimum of 8 to 12 inches when in the plowing position. The post front structure shall be no more than 24 inches high and 14 inches wide. The post weldment will serve as the anchor for the trailing link assemblies. 3 inch bore X 5 inch stroke toe lift cylinder with a 1-1/2 inch rod. Must have power up and power down with mechanical float. Toe safety chain attached to front of wing moldboard and attached to wing post to prevent wing toe going below grade. The rear push arm frame assembly shall be designed for mounting on a chassis so that it will not hinder dumping of the body. A wing plow and guidance alignment laser must be installed and shall be of the LaserLine type. to spec MCRC Equipment Package Tandem, Page 13

14 Truck and Plow Portion Hitch : The snow plow coupling device must be of the quick attach style. The quick hitch must have two spring loaded latching jaws and must be able to disconnect the truck using a single lever. Hitch must have a minimum spread of 30-1/2 center to center. Hitch shall be of a non-tilt design. The lift arm and lift frame shall be built with a 4 double acting lift cylinder. Cylinder must be a gland style. Retainer clip design not acceptable. The lift arm shall made heavy 4 square tubing, ½ wall. The main pivot pin shall mount through a pipe bushing were pinned to the hitch. Simple drilled holes are not acceptable. The outer ends of the pin must be made anti-rotation so the center bushing rotates without the pin rotating within the outer mounts. This bushing must include a grease fitting. The lift arm shall have three banjo type chain eyes punched in ½ plate that will accept ½ chain and must be designed to support the weight of the plow. The design of the plow portion quick attach hitch shall allow the plow to swivel freely so that it can follow the contour of the road and shall pivot on a 1 ½ diameter bolt. The truck portion plow hitch shall be a quick attach style which incorporates boots with pin welded solidly in each boot. Pin diameter and spacing shall match plow portion quick attach hitch. The main structure of the truck portion hitch shall be an extra heavy duty cheek plate design. Heavy support arms must be mounted the bottom of the hitch to the chassis frame for extra support. The truck portion hitch must be bolted to the chassis forward frame. A heavy cross mount must support the installation of a front mounted, pump. All hitch assemblies must be welded 100% to the channel. to spec MCRC Equipment Package Tandem, Page 14

15 Painting Process : Painting process of Scraper, Plow Hitch, Plow Push Frame, Wing: In view of environmental safety, environmental sensitivity and a corrosion resistant finished product, the paint process for all steel components shall be powder coat paint, incorporating the encasement type process. ALL COMPONENTS PAINTED PRIOR TO ASSEMBLY. In preparation of the curing and baking process, all steel components shall be G-25 grade shot blast to prepare the steel surface for strong adhesion by removing any scale, rust and foreign materials that may be present. (All components painted prior to assembly) Following the shot blast process, all steel components shall pass through an alkaline wash with a clear water rinse immediately following. Following the alkaline wash, all steel components shall pass through a phosphate wash with a clear water rinse immediately following. In further preparation of the powder coat paint process, all components shall be oven dried following the wash and sealing process. Immediately prior to the powder coat paint being applied, all steel components shall be preheated to a minimum of 100-degree Fahrenheit for uniform powder paint coating. Instantly following the preheat stage, the powder coat paint shall be electro-statically applied in excess of three mils thick. In view of metal thickness and steel mass present and for consistent adhesion of the powder coat paint, the minimum oven curing time shall be 25 minutes at a cure temperature of no less than 400 degrees. The powder paint used shall be TGIC Polyester with orange plow and wing moldboards. Scraper, plow hitch, plow push frame, and wing mounts to be black. All welding performed on the plow must be in compliance with current AWS procedures and guidelines recognized within the State of manufacture. 16 Load Sense, Central Hydraulics/Spreader Control: : HYDRAULIC PUMP: The hydraulic pump shall be a U.S. manufactured axial piston pressure and flow compensated load sensing type. The pump shall be cast iron construc,tion and rated to 6.0 cubic inches per revolution at maximum stroke ( RPM). The pump shall have a two inch suction line. The pump shall be rated for up to 3000 rpm and 3000 psi pressure. The pump shall have a 1 ¼ keyed drive shaft and SAE type C mounting flange. The pump shall have a high pressure shaft seal, specially designed to prevent damage road contamination and salt spray. The pump shall be FORCE America PVWH 45 load sensing pump. A 12V actuated shutoff valve must be plumbed to the pump outlet. Valve must close automatically. MOUNTING: The hydraulic pump shall be mounted with shaft center line parallel to the crankshaft center line and at a level to create not more than a three degree angle on the drive line. Pump mounting shall be incorporated with a bracket fabricated to mount in the extended frame rails of the truck. DRIVE LINE: The hydraulic pump shall be driven directly off the engine crankshaft via a splined drive line to allow for movement. The drive line shall include grease fittings on both u- joints. (Spicer model 1310 series). CONTROL CENTER GENERAL: Controls for all valve functions and electronic spreader control will be integrated into a single, self-contained control center. The control center shall be a padded armrest style that is ergonomically designed. Control center shall be modular in design for ease of installation and service, and wiring and connectors shall be keyed and color-coded throughout. All components must be durable for long life and trouble free operation. The electronic controller shall be a fully proportional multi-stick controller to operate all cylinder functions. Multi-stick PWM driver electronics shall include as standard the capability to control at least 9 proportional to spec. to 2015 MCRC Equipment Package Tandem, Page 16

17 outputs simultaneously. The control shall be 4-stick configuration. Controls for spreader must be located on armrest at the operator's fingertips. There shall also be four auxiliary rocker switches available with an additional fifth switch being the main power switch for the spreader control. The switches shall be located between the joysticks and spreader control interface and each shall be rated for 15 amps continuous current minimum. Console options shall be capable of supplying full rated power to switch outputs when all four auxiliary switches are at full 15 amp load. The Hoist joystick shall have a push button safety interlock that and shall time-out after a period of hoist inactivity that is selectable 0 to 15 seconds. The plow and scraper joysticks shall have momentary pushbuttons for activation of remote spreader standby and remote spreader blast. There joystick for wing shall be single acting with safety interlock to prevent accidental wing operation. All function joysticks shall be of contactless Hall-effect design and offer up to a 5-Million cycle life. To increase safety of operation, joystick communication hardware/software shall include the following standard features input power monitor circuitry with power quality diagnostics, redundant dual-reference joystick signals for each joystick axis, joystick input offcenter checking on all axes and output shutdown on system power-up, joystick out-of-range fault condition checking and output shutdown, and true outputs off with joystick centered. The multi-stick control joystick outputs shall be communicated over the spreader control CAN bus to the Valve Module. Spreader control outputs and joystick control outputs shall be operated on the same Valve Module, or multiple modules as necessary. The electronic spreader control shall be designed for precise, closed-loop control of granular and anti-ice liquid applications and operate on a CAN Bus protocol. The spreader control interface shall have two, color-coded, continuous rotation encoders for granular and spinner control. These encoders shall have integrated push buttons for blast mode and stand-by. The controller shall have a third multifunction 4-way joystick that has an integrated rotary encoder and push button, that can be 2015 MCRC Equipment Package Tandem, Page 17

18 used for menu navigation, prewet liquid control, or an additional conveyor function. There shall be four, twoway soft keys included in the interface that are generically-labeled and user-configurable for different functions depending on the equipment needs. Soft keys for cross auger reverse and anti-ice left, center, and right spray bars must be included. The controller shall also utilize ibutton technology that is capable of using a Supervisor key to provide access to the calibration parameters without the access code. The operator interface shall communicate on the spreader control system CAN bus. The spreader control display shall be a remotely-mounted, 7 diagonal color TFT LCD, with a low-profile 16:9 widescreen format and minimum of 800X480 pixel resolution. LCD shall have variable LED backlighting. The operator menus shall be color-coded to match the encoder knobs on the operator interface. The operator shall have the option of selecting five data items to be displayed onscreen during operation. The display will also provide four warning light indicators for low oil level, body up, oil temp, and filter bypass. These warning lights are to be functional regardless of spreader operation or status. A proportional PWM driver and input module (Valve Module) shall be remotely-mounted inside the hydraulic valve enclosure for control of both spreader control and joystick control outputs. The entire Valve Module shall be of rugged design for the mobile environment, and must meet IP68 requirements for dust and water ingression. All outputs shall be protected against short-circuits. Outputs shall be current-compensated and have adjustable PWM frequency. There shall be a minimum of five switch-to-ground type inputs for monitoring hydraulic system inputs such as oil level, body up, Hi and Low filter bypass, and oil temperature warnings. A minimum of two switch-to-ground type pulse train inputs shall be included in the Valve Module for connection of feedback sensors such as auger feedback and anti-ice flowmeter feedback. A second CAN bus connection must be provided for daisy-chaining of multiple Valve Modules within the valve enclosure. 19 The integrated spreader control and joystick control system shall be equipped with a qualified ESTOP device that immediately disconnects battery power all outputs. All spreader control and joystick-operated outputs shall immediately cease to function and the system display shall inform the operator that the ESTOP device has been activated. The Control Center shall be a FORCE America Patrol Commander MPJC Ultra series with a 6100 model spreader control. HYDRAULIC VALVE: The hydraulic valve shall be of modular manifold design. Each hydraulic function requires an individual manifold stacked together to form the manifold base.. The hydraulic control valves shall be pulse-width modulated, proportionally controlled. Each hydraulic valve segment shall be individually mounted to the manifold base assembly and be serviceable without removing any hydraulic hoses or any other hydraulic valve segments. All segments shall have heavy duty continuous duty coils and connections shall be with Hirshman connectors. All coils shall operate at 12 VDC and require a maximum of 1400 milli-amps. Each segment shall be equipped with a rack and pinion manual override except for the auger and spinner sections. Valve sections must have adjustable stroke limiter flow controls for each function. Valve segments shall be FORCE America Add-A-Fold and be arranged as follows: 1. Hoist, 40 gpm double acting with downside 500 psi 2. Plow Lift, double acting 3. Wing Raise/Lower, Double acting with sequence valves 4. Scraper raise, double acting w/ downside 500 psi 5. Scraper turn, double acting 6. Main conveyor, 21 gpm reversible 7. 20 HYDRAULIC VALVE ENCLOSURE: The valve assembly shall be mounted Vertical in a weather-tight enclosure. The valve enclosure shall be fabricated of 12 ga. steel. Enclosure shall be designed to not allow humidity to be trapped inside. Valve will be Boxed In with the cover & not the base. RESERVOIR: Hydraulic tank to be mounted above frame behind cab with sight glass mounted on side of tank visible drivers side of truck. Hydraulic reservoir shall be of rectangular type. 10 ga. steel min., 40 gal. min. capacity. Pipe sizes in reservoir to be as follows: 1-1/4" top bung for oil sender, ¾ case drain (front mounted), 1-1/4" front mounted return line run into tank mounted filter & 2" suction line. Baffled, Magnetic drain plug, vent cap & fill basket. Fluid level indicator, temperature gauge & 141 Micron suction strainer. System to have electronic hydraulic oil level indicator mounted in hydraulic reservoir with warning light mounted in Control Center. Fluid to be filled to full indicator mark on sight glass after hoist & complete system is bled of air & checked for leaks. Ball valve type shut off in suction line at tank. FILTER: Filter TS / ZSRE Assemble. 1-1/4" NPT w/condition indicator PG-20 with visual and 12 volt indicator, filter installed in tank to allow easy access without raising the box. To include a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" x 1 Tee, installed in return line, to allow plumbing of sander return oil. Sander return line outlet (1") to be plugged. Fuel and Oil Tanks: Back of cab combination fuel tank/oil reservoir shall be installed. 120 gal. fuel and 40 gal. hydraulic oil. Tank shall be made 7 ga. Mild steel. Include a sight and temperature gauge. Tanks shall be mounted to a heavy saddle and anchored with banding that shall be spring loaded. Oil reservoir shall include an AB screened fill cap, 3 flange with 2 Zinga suction strainer, intank Zinga filter, suction line shut-off, low oil/temperature indicator in cab. Tanks are to be set on neoprene cushion pads. Tanks shall be labeled with decals as to contents ( Diesel Fuel or Hyd. Oil ) A low oil/temp light in cab and alarm with momentary over ride switch shall be installed in the cab.. Tanks shall be painted black.
