CAUTION: Do not disconnect the Vehicle s Airbag Connector. Page 10 of 29

NOTE: Temporarily remove contents inside of Glove Box and ensure contents are put back in Fig k. Dislodge the Glove Box. Remove 2 Bolts. Page 11 of 29

Remove the Clear Protective Sheet from the Double Sided Tape. b. Attach Double Sided Tape to the Part Number Label side of the RES ECU as shown. Apply the Clear Sheet side on the RES ECU. Attach adhesive tape on the part number label side of the RES ECU. Make sure not to cover the Part Number Label with the adhesive tape. CAUTION: Do not touch the adhesive surface. Utility Knife Fig. 5-2 c. Remove the Backing Sheet from the Waterproof Sheet. d. Attach Waterproof Sheet to one corner of the RES ECU near the connector as shown, then cut the excess Waterproof Sheet. CAUTION: Do not touch the adhesive surface. 0mm Fig. 5-3 e. Insert the RES ECU Bracket into the indicated Bracket Slots on the RES ECU. Ensure the Bracket is firmly attached to the ECU. Page 15 of 29

Turn over the Floor Carpet on the left side of the Passenger s Side Area. h. Pull back the Felt on the backside of the Floor Carpet as shown. Do not remove or cut off the Felt. 17 Fig. 5-7 j. Using the VDC approved cleaner and Cleaning Method, clean the area indicated on the left side of the Passenger s Lower Console area. k. Remove the Protective Sheet of the Double Sided Tape. l. Center the RES ECU Bracket to Vehicle s Bolt as shown. Then press the RES ECU firmly to the Vehicle. NOTE: Do not attempt to reposition the ECU once placed. Side Cutters Fig m. Run an Extra Large Wire Tie through the RES ECU s rectangular hole and behind the Vehicle Brace to secure it. NOTE: Do not tighten the Wire Tie, it should hang freely. Side Cutters Fig n. Secure the V4 Harness to the inner Vehicle Brace with 1 Wire Tie. NOTE: Do not use the front hole of the Vehicle Brace. Use Household Glass Cleaner to clean the inside of the Front Door Window. e. Use a piece of Clear Tape to lift the Label off its protective backing. CAUTION: Do not touch the adhesive surface. f. Attach the Label as shown. NOTE: Make sure to Align the Label according to Etching or Other Label. REPEAT: steps d-f with the other Front Door Window. 9. Complete the Installation. a. Position the Negative Battery Cable at the original factory position. Torque: 5.4 N m (48 in lbf) CAUTION: Do not touch the Positive Terminal. b. Clean up and Remove trash. c. Sealed in its protective bag, place the Owner s Manual in the Glove Box. Page 26 of 29

27 Accessory Function Checks Close the hood, enter the vehicle and close all doors. Place the shift lever in the P (Park) position, set the parking brake and make sure the Vehicle is off. Perform 1 Press the remote control s lock button twice within 2 seconds, then press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds. 2 With the engine running, pull the hood release handle. NOTE: Wait 30 seconds before pulling the hood release handle for the Security Alarm to trigger. Look For The hazard lights flash after 3 seconds. The engine starts. The hazard lights flash repeatedly for 10 seconds. The engine stops. The hazard lights flash once. The security alarm triggers. Vehicle Appearance Check Perform After accessory installation and removal of protective cover(s), perform a visual inspection of the vehicle. Lamp Failure Sensor If the warning light remains on, it may indicate a system malfunction. CHECK ABS Light (if equipped) If the warning light remains on, it may indicate a system malfunction. Track/Skid Control Light (if equipped) If the warning light remains on, it may indicate a system malfunction. Seat Belt Warning Light If the warning light remains on, it may Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) indicate a system malfunction. Air Bag Warning Light If the warning light remains on, it may indicate a system malfunction. Cruise Control Light (if equipped) Prior to TPMS activation and Pre-delivery Service (PDS) of the Vehicle the TPMS light will blink when IG is turned on. After TPMS activation and PDS of the Vehicle the TPMS light will illuminate for a few seconds and go off when IG is turned on. Using a Mirror or Assistant check the following.
