22 Customization Options Enclosure Modifications CNC Machining SERPAC can machine a wide range of openings for your specified geometry and recess any surface to accommodate your labels or membrane switches. We can also machine internal features, including the removal or shortening of circuit board bosses or card guides. Simply provide us with a drawing and we do the rest! While there are no minimum quantities required, a set-up fee will be applied. Lead time for machining orders is two days for 1000 pieces or less. I Plate Customization All SERPAC enclosures are designed with customization in mind. Each enclosure has "Insert Areas" where a custom "I-Plate" can be made to your specification. Your modifications (characters, symbols, openings, and recesses) can be molded into the box, cutting down your machining costs and adding a custom look to you final product. These I-Plates have a one time tooling charge and are owned by you, our customer. On some of our products we also have the ability to modify the height of internal bosses to accommodate your specific application. Some surfaces where internal and external I-Plates exist can be recessed or raised to accommodate your components and or designs. (all H-Series models and other models. Please contact customer service for details) No minimum order quantity required. Lead time for molded-in modifications orders is 2 weeks depending on complexity. Options In addition to our standard enclosure colors, SERPAC can also accommodate custom color requirements, either in translucent or opaque materials. To obtain a quotation on custom colors, send us a color chip or specify a Pantone number. No minimum order quantity is required. 21

23 Customization/Options Enclosure Modifications EMI Shielding SERPAC enclosures can be customized to shield sensitive electronics from Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). SERPAC offers two different methods for shielding: Spray method Enclosures are coated with a conductive nickel based paint. - There are no minimum quantities required, but a set-up fee will be applied. Molded method The second sheilding method is to mold enclosures in conductive plastic (black only). Orders of a 1000 pieces or more will not incur a setup charge. Printing PAD Printing Features Customize your product by having SERPAC print your company logo, graphics, instructions or other text directly onto your enclosure. MultI-color printing jobs are easily handled. FULL Printing Features Have your Serpac enclosure customized with the latest state of the art digital printing. This full color process creates a scratch resistant image. Full Printing can be used for simple text, gradients, blended colors, color transitions, and photo-quality images. Have your enclosure customized in 48 hours, on all approved orders less than 1,000 pieces. Please allow an additional 48 hours on machined orders. Vector based artwork (designed for the CMYK color space) is required for printing. While there are no minimum quantities required, a set-up fee will be applied. 22
