POSSIBLE SETTINGS Transport setting: 5. Lower the chassis on the limit stop (A), placed inside. Plough starting position: The plough is hitched correctly to the tractor. A lighting unit has been installed for driving on public roads. (see chapter "Hitching to tractor") Mode of operation: The plough is swivelled into the horizontal position and the chassis lowered completely. Safety information Statutory notes on attached implements which are towed by tractors during road travel - see attachment C A Design: 1. Lift the chassis 2. Fold out all depth stops 3. Rotate the plough frame in horizontal position. (See Chapter "Use / swivelling the plough") 4. Close both stop cocks (Ab3) on the turning cylinders. The stop cock is - as you can see in the figure - at 90 on the line. 6. Only when the option Traction Control is installed: Release pressure: - Swivel the stop cock (Ab1) backwards to deactivate Traction Control. D1 Ab1 Ab Safety information For transportation drives you must close both stop cocks (Ab3). This safety measure is a statutory regulation. Even if a hydraulic line becomes defective, unintentional swivelling of the plough frame is still prevented. Select the maximum speed depending on the respective road and path conditions! Ab 3 Operating settings The following adjustment possibilities are provided to allow optimum adjustment of the plough to the respective field conditions: (Variants Servo Nova, Servo Plus and Traction control, see respective chapters in these Instructions) EINSTELLUNGEN_

POSSIBLE SETTINGS Set furrow width "First body" Plough starting position: Optional pin: Changing setting prior to use Optional hydraulic cylinder: Setting can also be changed during use. with hydraulic cylinder:(optional) (For version Servo Plus the hydraulic cylinder is Standard) Instead of using a spindle, you can adjust the cutting width "Front furrow" with a hydraulic cylinder (Zy). Mode of operation: The plough position relative to the tractor is adapted with the setting furrow width "First body". The plough is moved with a pin or a hydraulic cylinder depending on the version. The setting is to be selected so that the furrow width of the first body (S1) is the same as the other plough bodies. Zy Warning! Risk of crushing! Stay outside the lifting area of the hydraulic cylinder when operating the hydraulic control. Design with pin: The furrow width "First body" (S1) is adjusted steplessly by turning the pin (Sp). - Furrow width (S1) too narrow -> turn pin (Sp) shorter - Furrow width (S1) too wide -> turn pin (Sp) longer Calibrating the display of the first body furrow width. The display of the first body furrow width is adjusted via the slot and the bolts (1) at the rear of the display. (See illustration) 1 Sp Procedure: 1. Set the required furrow width of the other plough bodies. 2. Set the first plough body to the same furrow width as the other plough bodies. 3. Set the display (2) of the first body furrow width to the same furrow width that is displayed for the other bodies (3). (Figure) EINSTELLUNGEN_

POSSIBLE SETTINGS Setting furrow width Plough starting position: Variant Standard: Change setting before use Variant Servo Plus: The setting can be changed also during operation. (See Chapter "Servo Plus" for details) Mode of operation: The plough working width is determined by the furrow widths set for the individual bodies. Variant Standard: 5 defined furrow widths can be set mechanically. Variant Servo Plus: The furrow width can be set steplessly using the hydraulics. Variant: Standard Setting the furrow width per body: - Loosen front hex head bolt (vs). - Remove rear hex head bolt (hs). - Swivel the fastening bracket until the required furrow width is reached and the hex head bolt (hs) fits into one of the holes (Bo). - Re-tighten hex head bolts (vs, hs). Hole for hex head bolt Pin (Sp) [cm] Furrow width cm Variant: Servo Plus Instead of a pin (Sp), the furrow width is adjusted using a hydraulic cylinder (Zy): (See Chapter "Servo Plus" for details) Zy Note! After a change to the furrow width, the furrow width "First body" must also be rechecked! Note! The chassis wheel must always run parallel to the working direction during ploughing Readjust the chassis analogously to furrow width: The direction of the chassis is determined by the pin (Sp) and depends on the plough body setting. (See Table) Sp cm EINSTELLUNGEN_

POSSIBLE SETTINGS Setting the depth Plough starting position: The plough must be rotated in working position Mode of operation: The working depth is set on the chassis and via the lifting height of the tractor lower link. The adjustment of the chassis height is made with the help of the hydraulic cylinder (Zy). The setting of the working depth resp. is changed via the number of the depth stops (AS) swivelled in. Zy Adjusting the plough tilt Plough starting position: Prior to use. Mode of operation: The tractor drives in the furrow and is thus at a slope. The plough should sit as vertical (90 ) as possible to the ground during ploughing. The setting of the tilt is performed via adjustment screws at the swivel unit. Warning! Risk of crushing! Stay outside the lifting area of the hydraulic cylinder when operating the hydraulic control. AS Design: - Lift the chassis - Remove cover of the depth stops (lynch pin) and fold up - Swivel the depth stop in or out (less depth stops = more working depth) - Fold up and secure the cover of the depth stops - Lower the chassis (until the cylinder (Zy) lies on the depth stops.) - Adjust the lifting height of the tractor lower link to the required working depth. One depth stop corresponds to a change in the working depth of approx. 2 cm Design: - Adjust the tilt per side with the adjustment screws (1). (Example: If the plough is swivelled to the right, the left stop can be set) - Check that the new setting allows the plough bodies to stand approximately vertical (90 ) to the ground per side When ploughing on slopes, it is recommended that the tilt is set somewhat more than 90. When ploughing on hard ground, it is recommended that the tilt is set somewhat less than EINSTELLUNGEN_

POSSIBLE SETTINGS Setting the ploughing component tilt Plough starting position: prior to use Mode of operation: If the plough cannot penetrate the ground correctly then the tilt of the individual bodies can be adjusted. The share tip is adjusted in the range "S" lower or higher by turning the cam bushing. Caution! Risk of crushing from inadvertent activation of the hydraulic control. Turn off the engine and remove the key before making adjustments. Design: - Loosen bolts and turn cam bushing - Retighten bolts after adjustment The following applies to the basic setting: The gap (A) between plough and share cutting edge must be the same for all ploughing components. - Check the gap (B1) at the last plough component Type W*): B1 = 0-5 mm Type UW, UWS, WSS*): B1 = mm - Set the same measurement for gap (B) as for B1. * The type of ploughing component is shown clearly on the manufacturer s plate EINSTELLUNGEN_

OPERATION Turnover at the end of the field Take care! Turnover manoeuvre on slopes! Plough weight influences the tractor s travelling abilities. This can lead to dangerous situations especially on slopes. Take care! Phases (a, b, c, d) with turnover manoeuvres a. At the end of the field steer the tractor to the ploughed side - Instigate turnover procedure (activate control device) - Interrupt turnover procedure (Pos ) (deactivate control device) No one is to stand in swivel range during turnover procedure. Operate turning gear from tractor seat only. b. Steer tractor to unploughed side Share position (Pos ) enables turnover to be carried out without interruption. c. Lift plough frame - Proceed with turnover Activate control device until new working position is reached TD 45/95/19 d. Drive into the new furrow - Lower plough frame 0900-_EINSATZ_

OPERATION Overload safety The shares are fitted with shear bolts. When overloaded the bolts (AS) break and the shares swivel up and clear. - Remove shear bolt remains - Loosen hexagonal screw (S1) - Swivel share back to working position - Insert new shear bolt and retighten both Note! Only use genuine shear bolts (see spare parts list) with the relevant measurement and quality. Under no circumstances use bolts with greater or lesser strength. AS S _EINSATZ_

UNHITCHING FROM TRACTOR Unhitching from tractor Note: The share points are hardened so there is a risk of breaking when set down onto hard surface (stone, concrete, etc.). Set the share points down on a suitable surface (e.g. wooden board)! Pull the locking brake Turn the plough frame in right working position (R) (in driving direction) Only when the option Traction Control is mounted - Deactivate Traction Control: - no pressure on the manometer - bring the stop cock (Ab1) in rear position D1 Ab1 Ab Safety hints: Set the plough down on a load-bearing and even floor and ensure it is firmly positioned. Reduce pressure in the hydraulic lines. (Switch control lever to floating position) Uncouple hydraulic hoses. TD 45/95/14 R Unhitch plough - Remove upper link from implement. - Remove lower link from implement. Fold the parking support and let the bolt go into the hole. Deactivate / fold out all depth stops (1). 1 Lower transportation wheel until the headstock lies horizontally when the machine is parked. This means that the lower linkage is no longer tensioned. Block hydraulic line 2: - Without Traction Control: Block hydraulic line 2 on the plug coupling - With Traction Control: Block hydraulic line 2 with the stop cock (Ab2) beneath the hydraulic block Block the ball cocks on the turning cylinders ABBAU_

SERVO PLUS Mode of operation The furrow width can be adjusted steplessly using a hydraulic cylinder (2). The furrow width of the first plough unit is automatically adjusted at the other plough units. The mechanical construction turns each plough unit at the point of rotation (1) at the same time while adapting the chassis to the new working width. (1) Point of rotation = maintenance point (see Section "Maintenance" for details) (2) Hydraulic cylinder (3) Display of furrow width Warning! Risk of crushing! Stay outside the lifting area of the hydraulic cylinder when operating the hydraulic control. 3 Forrow width can be adjusted during operation. Ploughing around obstacles (masts, trees,...) can be performed without problem as can ploughing up to fences. 1300_-SERVO PLUS_

SERVO NOVA Fully automatic Nonstop overload safety The fully automatic overload safety is recommended for soils which are difficult to plough e.g. soil with stones or other foreign bodies. Every ploughing component is hydromechanically safeguarded against damage on the SERVO-NOVA plough. When driving over an obstacle the ploughing body swings out to either side and then swings automatically back into the working position. There is no need to stop the tractor. The plough body swings back into work position automatically. Along with the fully automatic Nonstop overload safety, all component carriers have a shear bolt as additional protection. Setting range Warning! The accumulator is under gas and oil pressure. Remove and repair only according to directions in the manual. Do not carry out any welding, soldering or mechanical work. The overload safety release force can be adapted to the various soil types. Normal setting Nitrogen pressure in the gas accumulator (43) (Factory set) 80 bar Pressure adjustment area of the hydrauliccylinder (40) 90 to 160 bar Should practice show that the overload safety reacts too often, the pressure (* in the hydraulic cylinders can be increased with the accompanying top-up device (42). The hydraulic pressure drops. - Actuate servo-valve on tractor until the manometer shows the desired pressure. Then close the shut-off valve (position A). Take note! The shut-off valve must always be closed (position A) when ploughing. - Depressurize top-up line using servo-valve. 0900_-SERVO NOVA_

TRACTION CONTROL Functioning of Traction Control By means of Traction Control the weight of the plough is transmitted to the tractor rear axle and thus slippage is minimised. On headlands (=when the plough is turned) or when you lift the chassis, the hydraulic system of this system is reduced. When lowering the chassis in working position, the pressure increases again. Note! At the end of the headland procedure, you must operate the chassis until the pressure on the Traction Control is increased again. Pressure control on manometer.
