3 Safety Notes Professional Qualification These assembly instructions are aimed exclusively at skilled staff trained for this work. Intended Use Intended use is described in the machine s Operating Instructions. The attachment or installation of additional equipment does not constitute a change to the machine s intended use. Prior to Starting Assembly Work Park the machine on firm level ground, switch off the tractor s engine, apply the hand brake, remove the ignition key and keep safe. Allow the machine to come to a complete stop (rotating parts may carry on turning for a longish period). Secure machine and tractor against accidental rolling. Secure work area so that there can be no risk to or for other people. Observe the statutory regulations on accident prevention. Observe warning signs (pictograms) on the machine.

4 Safety Notes General Safety Notes for Assembly DANGER Risk of severe or life-threatening injuries all over the body due to getting caught up, being pulled in, crushing and hydraulic oil escaping at high pressure! It is imperative to follow the safety notes! Only couple and uncouple the machine on solid level ground, secure against accidental rolling and falling over. Only carry out work if the PTO drive shaft and the motor have been switched off, the handbrake has been applied and the ignition key has been removed and kept safe. Wait until all rotating machine parts come to a complete stop! Wear close-fitting workwear and use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, safety shoes and safety helmet! Only raise the machine using lifting gear suitable for the purpose (hydraulic jack, crane, etc.) and only support it using appropriate supporting elements. No welding, cutting, grinding, drilling on frame, axles or other load-bearing parts. Check nuts and bolts for tight fit. Hoses and cables may not strain, rub or become trapped. Attachment or installation of non-standard equipment alters the overall weight and depending on the non-standard equipment involved may also alter the external dimensions of the machine. Pay attention to the altered dimensions in operation and particularly when driving on public roads. Attach sufficient ballast weights to the tractor. At least 20% of the vehicle s unladen weight on the front axle. Insufficient ballast will make tractor and machine uncontrollable when driving. Do not step between tractor and machine whilst attaching/coupling up. Have someone guide you in if the coupling point cannot be seen from the driver s seat of the tractor. Do not step between tractor and machine until both have come to a stop and have been secured against accidental rolling. Bring the supporting devices (e.g. support legs) into the correct position in each case. Secure as prescribed! Do not get close to hydraulic oil escaping under high pressure. Prior to Starting Up Follow the machine s Operating Instructions. Check safety equipment for completeness and function. Check oil levels. Check machine for compressed air and oil losses. Check tyre pressures and wheelnuts for tight fit. Check electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic connections to the tractor. Check service brake and parking brake for proper function. Completely release machine s parking brake and turn the crank handle inwards. Place tractor s hydraulic control unit in neutral position prior to attaching the machine. Pay attention to lateral locking of the tractor s three-point linkage depending on the machine type.

6 TECHNICAL DATA GB Defined use of the cultivator according to the manufacturer s instructions. The SYNKRO 4003 K+T, SYNKRO 5003 K+T, SYNKRO 6003 T cultivator is intended solely for normal use in agricultural work. To prepare the upper layer of arable land for sowing which is to follow. Any other uses outside of this are regarded as not in accordance with the defined use. The manufacturer will not be held liable for any damages resulting from misuse. The risk is carried by the user alone. The keeping of operating, servicing and maintenance requirements as specified by the manufacturer also come under the heading of defined use. 9 Assembly preparation DANGER Risk of severe or life-threatening injuries and serious damage due to machine tipping over! Only use suitable lifting gear to lift machine (See chapter Technical Information ). Never hook onto hollow discs or hollow disc bearers! Only hook suitable lifting gear to load-bearing points on main frame! When tipping the machine do not stand in tipping danger area! If using a traversing or gantry crane, ensure brakes are fully functional. Cranes without brakes must not be used! Hollow disc Hook suitable lifting gear (e.g. lifting sling ) to middle of frame as illustrated

10 HINT To enable machine to be tipped safely and easily, we recommend using a long lifting sling as illustrated! That way crane hooks do not come in contact with machine. Tip machine as illustrated. Lower machine slowly

11 Place on shears as illustrated. Use a support (boards or something similar) on precarious ground surfaces

Use suitable lifting gear (lifting sling) with a load capacity of at least 200 kg.! Do not stand in the swivelling danger area. Hook suitable lifting gear to trailer bracket as illustrated

13 CAREFULLY and SLOWLY swivel trailer bracket down. Remove pre-fitted bolt from the strut and keep handy

14 Loosen bolt and swivel strut down. As illustrated, swivel strut back and fix using the previously removed bolt

15 Then in the same manner, repeat procedure on all struts

16 Tighten bolts. These bolts will have come loose when packing the machine and must now be tightened

17 Then in the same manner, repeat procedure on both sides of the machine

18 2 1 Remove and dispose of positioning pins and all 3 wooden blocks

19 Mounting trailer bracket Remove pre-fitted bolts and shim plates from the trailer brackets, and keep handy. Shim plates Lift packer roller with suitable lifting gear and slide into trailer bracket from underneath

20 Refit previously removed bolts and shim plates

21 Do not tighten bolts yet!

22 Then in the same manner, carry out procedure on other side of machine. Slide packer rollers together leaving a gap of approx. 2 cm

23 Ensure distance to each trailer bracket is equal on both sides and then tighten existing placing bolts. = Ca. 2 cm

24 Carry out trial run When carrying out a trial run, refer to and follow the directions and safety advice in the chapter ATTACHMENT in the operator s manual. During the trial run, take particular care that the locking devices are correctly engaged

25 If necessary, lightly grease with universal grease and then check again that locking devices are functioning properly

26 Check EN Final Check and Self-Check Check all screw fittings and plug-in connections for good condition and secure fit. Read carefully through the Operating Manual prior to starting the machine for the first time. It is imperative to follow the safety information it contains. 1000_MA_Kontrolle_EN
