Little children can swallow small components with sharp edges, with fatal results! Do not allow components to reach small children. Hazards Mechanical hazards: Cut wires can have sharp ends and can cause serious injuries. Watch out for sharp edges when you pick up the couplings. Electrical hazards: In order to prevent injuries due to electrical shock take the following precautions: Never perform wiring on a powered module. Observe cable diameter requirements. The couplings are designed for use with low power only. Only use certified transformers. Page 6

4 SK-4 English 2. Operation overview The 4-pole current transmitting couplings are designed for mounting in scale H0 model railway vehicles with socket according to NEM 362. The current is conducted via four contacts integrated into each coupling. Technical specifications Max. transmitted current: 0,5 A per wire 3. Mounting the couplings The clip-in coupling is made for mounting to stock with socket NEM 362. Exchange the existing coupling for the SK-4-coupling. After the exchange of the coupling continue with leading the connection wires into the vehicle.! Attention: The mobility of the bogie should not be obstructed by the connection wires. Only connect accessories in accordance with the manufactures instructions.! Attention: The maximum current per wire is 0,5 A. If you supply several accessories from one wire, the collective current should not exceed this value. 4. Checklist for troubleshooting The current transmission via the coupling does not work. Possible cause: The connection wires are not properly soldered in or have been torn off. Check the connections. If you cannot find the problem, please return the couplings for repair (address on the cover page). Page 7

5 English SK-4 5. Manufacturer's note The person who mounts these modules or brings them into operation is the manufacturer of the product. If he sells the product to another person he is responsible for passing on all the relevant papers. 6. Conditional warranty This product is guaranteed for two years. The warranty includes free repair if the problem is due to material failure or incorrect assembly by us. We guarantee the quality of the components. Other claims are excluded. By law, we are not responsible for damages or secondary damages in connection with this product. We retain the right to repair, make improvements, supply spare parts or return the purchase price. The following points invalidate the warranty: if damage is caused by not following the instructions in this manual, if the coupling has been altered and repair attempts have failed, if damage occurs due to an overload of the coupling, if damaged by other persons, if damaged by the wrong use or abuse of the assembly.
