4 KEY INFORMATION An information document Covers one Type Identifies the diversity covered in the type Lists the technical characteristics applicable to the vehicles belonging to the type States that all vehicles belonging to the type fulfill the type approval regulation according to Annex IV Only covers the diversity which is allowed by the separate approvals Gives the allowed TVV In the Midlum R 4x2 information document Possible according to the Matrix Allowed What is physically built shall be fully consistent with the information document (can be checked during a vehicle inspection) Is the synthesis of all the limits defined in the ECE certificates, without, as much as possible, technical limits and commercial limits. 13 Chapter 2 : Masses and dimensions (in kg and mm) Distinction between : Technical masses MASSES Technical masses mean the maximum masses of the vehicle based on its construction and performance, and as stated by the manufacturer. Registration masses Registration masses mean the maximum masses of vehicle at which the vehicle itself can be registered or put into service in a Member State at the request of the vehicle manufacturer. (The information is optional, but if these values are given, they shall be verified in accordance with the requirements of Annex IV of 97/27/EC) PAGE 13
