3 In order to successfully complete a BK Fountain QMC, you will typically need: The BKQMC Form and these guidelines Your SP Code and your Work Order Number Normal hand tools, Thermometer, etc. High Yield Ratio Cup, 4.75 / 5.25 version Line tape and Valve Decals Small Parts as Needed HOW DO I RECORD MY FINDINGS DURING THE QMC? You may enter the data directly into QUICKBASE if you have a Wi-Fi enabled hand-held device with an air card or you can log onto the Internet in the restaurant (Whopper Wi-Fi). 4 IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ BEFORE PROCEEDING REQUESTING A SECOND WORK ORDER All major repairs to fountain dispensers in U.S. Burger King restaurants including labor and parts cannot be completed and billed on a standard fountain QMC work order Major repairs must always be completed on a new work order If you encounter conditions in the restaurant that require a major repair (i.e. labor and parts will exceed your maximum allowable guidelines) please work with the general manager or manager on duty to call and request a new work order from a Coca-Cola Customer Care Associate COCA-COLA CUSTOMER CARE:

5 GETTING STARTED... To begin, you will need your SERVICE PROVIDER CODE WORK ORDER SERVICE DATE The date that is entered into the QMC database is the date the activity is completed in the restaurant not the data entry date SECTION ONE Please indicate the status of the restaurant. (i.e. OPEN, CLOSED FOR REMODEL, etc.) If the restaurant is not open, no further action is required by you. If the restaurant appears to be permanently closed please call and advise a Coca-Cola Customer Care Associate. COCA-COLA CUSTOMER CARE:

6 SECTION TWO Section Two is completed in the back room: Check and adjust CO2 pressures Vent all carbonators or cold carb tanks Look for syrup leaks at oeteker connections, BIB pumps, BIB connectors, Bag Selectors etc. and repair as needed Check to make sure there are no kinks in tygon tubing and Bag Selector ASV s are working Replace missing or worn line tape part numbers are included in this guide ACCEPTABLE CO2 PRESSURES CARBONATORS COLD CARBONATION MULTIPLEX BIB PUMP G55 BIB PUMP STD 105 PSI 85 PSI 90 PSI 75 PSI 65 PSI COCA-COLA CUSTOMER CARE:

7 SECTION THREE Section Three will provide data on water filtration: Is there a water filter in place in this restaurant? The filter manifold is sometimes installed away from the BIB rack so survey the back room carefully Is the water filter operating? i.e. To answer YES here you should find the system is not on bypass and the cartridges do not appear to be clogged I.E. the outbound filtered water pressure is at least PSI and there is only a small difference between city water inbound pressure and filtered water outbound pressure Every water filter housing should have a DECAL with a hand written date that indicates the last time the filter cartridges were changed Filter cartridges should be changed at least once per year and more often when poor local water quality demands more frequent replacement NOTE: The Coca-Cola service network is NOT an approved supplier of replacement water filter cartridges to U.S. Burger King Restaurants. 9 SECTION FOUR In this section of the QMC, you will be recording dispenser information FOR EACH DISPENSER in the restaurant Location i.e. DINING ROOM MAKE i.e. LANCER TYPE i.e. ICE COMBO # VALVES i.e. 12 If you are unable to determine MAKE or TYPE - Refer to the attached pictures of non-standard dispenser types, or call a Coca-Cola Senior Technical Advisor at the number below NOTE: All LEGACY SYRUP dispensing assets in U.S Burger King Restaurants with the exception of Lancer 4-Valve Counter Electric units are the property of the restaurant. MAJOR REPAIRS TO DISPENSERS CANNOT BE PERFORMED AND BILLED ON A FOUNTAIN QMC WORK ORDER ALL MAJOR REPAIRS ARE DONE ON A SEPARATE TYPE 4 REPAIR WORK ORDER NO EXCEPTIONS. GET GM APPROVAL AND CALL !

12 SECTION FIVE Section Five activity you are looking for the presence of a QSC decal on each dispenser in the restaurant which will guide your next steps. WHEN TO RATIO DURING A BK QMC The Quality Service Call or QSC Protocol is in place at Burger King Restaurants Before you begin any beverage quality checks or adjustments on a BK QMC call check for a standard QSC decal If there is a QSC decal on a dispenser dated less than 90 days ago skip to the next dispenser in the restaurant and avoid redundant work If there is not a QSC decal on a dispenser or the decal is dated more than 90 days ago you must ratio all valves on that dispenser before proceeding COCA-COLA CUSTOMER CARE:

13 SECTION SIX Section Six activity is the most important part of the Burger King Quality Maintenance Call you are about to check (and adjust where needed) critical quality measures of the finished beverage Flow Rate varies by valve type but generally 3.0 oz./sec for LEV and 4.5 oz./sec for FF LEV Ratio per the attached specs Temperature below 40 degrees Off-Taste always check a finished drink from every dispenser to make sure there is no off-taste such as chlorine carry over or off-taste ice Drains use Kay-5 and warm water to ensure drains are clear and flowing freely. If existing PVC drains are in very poor condition and are clogged, leaking or broken suggest to the Manager that drains should be replaced. Drain replacement would require a 2nd work order and would be a scheduled activity for a 2nd trip Decals replace worn or missing valve decals COCA-COLA CUSTOMER CARE:
