1 DATE: 11/30/2010 Pregis Intellipack Corp E. Marshall Street, Suite Tulsa, OK (918) Estimate Time to Complete: 1.5 to 2 hours SmartBAGGER Crating Procedure The SmartBAGGER is a very heavy machine. The crating and shipping procedures outlined here are intended to demonstrate how to best ship the machine while protecting it from damage while in transit. Obviously all of the materials described here will not be available to everyone so appropriate substitutions can be made. Please make every effort to protect all parts of the machine and crate. It is advisable to use at least two people to put the machine in its crate. Instructions: STEP 1: Open Empty Crate 1. MAKE SURE TO OPEN CRATE THROUGH FRONT DOOR. IT HAS DOOR LABELS ON IT. 2. DO NOT OPEN CRATE FROM SIDES OR BACK. SIDE OF CRATE BACK OF CRATE

2 STEP 1: Open Empty Crate 3. Using Power Tool or Phillips screw driver, remove all screws located in front of crate (approximate locations shown.) 4. Opened crate should look like this.

3 STEP 2: Take Inventory 1. Verify contents inside the crate. It should contain: a. 1 Cradle b. 2 Hooks, 2 Side Supports, and 2 Wheel Blocks. c. 1 Pump Head Cover Kit d. Documentation e. Tie Wraps / Spare Screws CRADLE HOOKS PUMP HEAD COVER KIT DOCUMENTATION TIE WRAPS & SCREWS

4 STEP 3: Prep Pumps 1. Drain component from pump column. (Follow these steps for each pump individually). 2. Use SmartLUBE (in spray bottle) and rags to clean off excess component from Pump Head and Column. 3. Unplug pump s power cable from Bagger. 4. Remove hose from pump and cap off the ends of hose and pump (caps should be on uptime kit from installation). HOSE AND PUMP CAPS STEP 3: Prep Pumps 5. A - RED PUMP ONLY: a. Remove mesh filter, clean with SmartLUBE, and install Pump Cover Kit on bottom of Pump Head. b. Put Mesh Filter into bag where Cover Kit was located to be shipped back with Bagger.

5 STEP 3: Prep Pumps 6. Prep each Pump Head (both pumps). a. Use SmartLUBE (in spray bottle) and moisten a few paper towels with SmartLUBE. b. Wrap moistened paper towels around pump head. c. Wrap Pump Head and paper towels with plastic bag and secure in place with electrical tape or similar. 7. Wrap entire Pump Column with SmartFILM (NOT SHOWN HERE). 8. Zip tie power cable to Pump Column. STEP 4: Load Pumps 1. Load pumps into crate as shown in photo. 2. Place pump holder back into place around the pumps and screw them securely into place (this pump holder would have been already in the crate and would need to be removed in order to put pumps in place).

6 STEP 4: Load Pumps 3. Zip Tie pumps into place (both handles USE TWO PER HANDLE). 4. Place SmartFOAM (or equivalent packing material) to protect pumps as shown. STEP 5: Prep Bagger 1. Remove SmartFILM from spindle. (DO NOT PACK BAGGER INTO CRATE WITH FILM ON SPINDLE.)

7 STEP 5: Prep Bagger 2. Zip tie Dispenser as shown (use one tie wrap around Dispenser and top roller and another around Dispenser and bottom roller.) 3. Put Cradle into place. a. Raise Bagger using LCD until enough room to accommodate Cradle is achieved. b. Place Cradle into place (bottom first) as shown on photos below. Center Cradle and make sure it is upright before proceeding. c. Using LCD, lower Bagger until the Bagger and Cradle are pushing against each other. You shouldn t be able to move the Cradle back and forth by hand without using excessive force. (IT IS POSSIBLE TO DAMAGE MACHINE IF LOWERED TOO HARD ONTO CRADLE).

8 STEP 5: Prep Bagger 4. Secure Cradle. a. Tighten Allen screws located on left side of Cradle onto the Bagger s side (Allen screws came in the kit) using 3/16 Allen wrench. b. Tighten bolt nuts with 7/16 wrench until tight. STEP 5: Prep Bagger 5. Remove LCD. a. Carefully remove cable. b. Remove LCD by removing two Allen screws located in the back of display with 5/32 Allen wrench. c. Properly pack Display on separate box to be shipped back with Bagger inside the crate.

9 STEP 5: Prep Bagger 6. Tag out unit. (USE ZIP TIE ONLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TAG). 7. Load power cable and hoses below Bagger as shown on photo below. STEP 6: Load Bagger 1. Center Bagger next to ramp as shown. 2. Carefully push Bagger into crate (TWO PEOPLE ARE RECOMMENDED TO PERFORM AND ASSIST WITH LOADING OF THE BAGGER. IT IS EXTREMELY HEAVY AND TAKES PRACTICE TO DO IT ALONE.)

10 STEP 6: Load Bagger 3. Push Bagger all the way into crate until back wheels touch back Wheel Blocks. 4. Straighten and lock front casters. 5. Put front Wheel Blocks into place. a. Screw one side in all the way. b. Push opposite side with some force and tighten second screw. c. Repeat for other caster. d. Bagger should be snug against both front and back Wheel Tops. STEP 6: Load Bagger 6. Attach Side Supports (should be snug against back Side Support). DO NOT SCREW CRADLE TO CRATE.

11 STEP 6: Load Bagger 7. Load Hooks. a. Place Hooks as shown on photos. b. Using ¾ wrench, tighten bolt while holding Hook in place until it is snug (you should not be able to move wood block by hand without using excessive force). STEP 6: Load Bagger 1. Zip tie Uptime Kit to left side of Cradle. 2. Zip tie LCD to right side of Cradle. 3. Put SmartFOAM around Bagger for added protection.

12 STEP 7: Close and Ship Crate 1. Bagger should look like this when loading is completed. 2. Close up crate. a. Line up door with crate. b. Place screws back onto original holes and tighten. (Only make new holes if original holes are stripped.) c. Remove any old labels from around the crate. d. Contact carrier using BOL Documentation and schedule a pick up. e. Forward the pickup confirmation number to Sarah Dawes via at sdawes@pregis.com
