12 Tech Tips TOYOTA H - All keys lost solution The purpose of this month s tech tip is to demonstrate how the Toyota H-Key immo kit can be used on all Toyota models (excl. Smart key models) in an All Keys Lost scenario. Currently there is no way to reset these models via OBD diagnostic methods. 1. Locating the H-immobiliser Remove the dash & retrieve the H-Immobiliser : Please watch the SGT>>> video on sgtsolutions. com.au to watch an in depth video on dashboard and immobiliser removal. All this info + more can be found in the Watch the instructional video 2. REPLACING the H-immobiliser Replace the H immo & re- assemble the dashboard: Once the Original immobiliser has been removed, Install the new one (IMMO-TOY-H) from your Toyota H-Key immo kit & re-assemble the dashboard components. 3. Program the master key Tip: During this procedure it is not uncommon for the vehicle to NOT give a response (chime or hazards flash) to let you know the remote has been programmed, check the remote operation after the procedure. Once the dashboard is back together and all components have been installed, re-connect the battery. Install the transponders (IDTOY-H) into the 2x B13 Remotes provided in your kit & fit the 2x cut keys. Turn the ignition to the ON position and connect your X-TOOL to the OBD connector. Select LEXUS TOYOTA> TYPE 4(8A/8E H )>2015>Replace immobiliser ECU & follow the on screen prompts. 4. Tip: Sometimes only 1x remote can be programmed at a time, repeat the procedure for additional remotes. 6. Once the Master key is programmed you can now program the additional key by selecting LEXUS TOYOTA> TYPE 4(8A/8E H )>2015>Add a key & follow the on screen prompts. 5. LINK IMMO to ECU Although the Security light is OFF when the key is in the ignition the car will still not START until the Immobiliser has been linked with the Engine computer (ECU). Program Additional key Insert the TOY-LINK into the OBD port & Turn the ignition to the ON position. You will notice that the lights on the instrument cluster will start to blink. After 45 minutes turn the ignition to the OFF position & remove the TOY-LINK from the OBD port. Program THE REMOTES Setup B13 remotes with KEYDIY utility & program to vehicle: Use either your URG200 or KD-MINI to program the 2x B13 remotes using path Asia \ Toyota Lexus \ A20. The IMMO has now been linked to the ECU & the vehicle will now START. Once your remotes are pre-programmed, Turn the ignition to the ON position and connect your X-TOOL to the OBD connector.
