1 Table of Contents Basic Information The A/C Evaporator is located on the low pressure side of the a/c system. It is usually mounted inside the cab under the dash panel. The evaporator receives the refrigerant from an expansion valve or orifice tube as low pressure liquid. As the refrigerant passes through the coils, a change occurs and the refrigerant becomes a low pressure vapor. Housed with the evaporator is the blower motor; which draws the warm air from the cab over the evaporator and then blows or circulates the cooled air inside the cab. Our evaporators are of high quality which meets and/or exceeds the O.E.M requirements. The length of the evaporator core is the length of the coils between the header segments. THICKNESS (Width) Measure the coils only.
