1 Thank you for choosing VALLEY CHROME PLATING, INC. as your source for chrome plated and stainless truck bumpers. For over 40 years we have built our reputation on quality bumpers, exceptional service and competitive pricing. We value your continued business and would like to have your comments on our products or service. LIMITED WARRANTY VALLEY CHROME PLATING, INC. extends a warranty against rusting or peeling of the polished chrome plated surfaces for a period of one year. The bumper is warranted for one year against defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty does not apply if the bumper is exposed to corrosive environments or other abnormal conditions. Warranty is void if any part of the bumper has visible damage caused by impact of any type, regardless of where the damage to the bumper is in relation to the defect. Altering the bumper in any manner also voids the warranty. The VALLEY CHROME PLATING, INC. warranty applies to the original purchaser and is in lieu of all other express warranties for a period of one year from the date of purchase from VALLEY CHROME PLATING, INC. should the bumper appear to be defective within the warranty period, please call the factory for instructions. This warranty is limited to the provisions shown. VALLEY CHROME PLATING, INC. does not assume responsibility for the cost of removal, installation of the bumper, or any consequential expense. Corrosive environments include, but are not limited to: salt or other abrasive coverings put on the road to limit ice or freezing, road grinding, sand or sandstorms, following other vehicles closely causing abrasive damage, etc. Please call for a test to measure the amount of corrosion that may void the warranty. RETURN POLICY We may consider photographs of the bumper and defect for warranty purposes in lieu of receiving the actual bumper. Please call before acting on any warranty. Defective items must be returned to our Clovis, California facility with a copy of the original invoice, FREIGHT PREPAID. Returned items will be replaced free of charge and shipped, freight prepaid with the dealers next stock order upon confirmation of our responsibility of the defect. A return authorization number must accompany all items. Items returned without prior authorization or found to be free of defects may be denied credit. We reserve the right to charge a 15% restocking fee.

3 Understanding the VALLEY CHROME part numbering system Basic part numbers consist of 8 digits, before adding custom options such as lights, universal mounting system, etc. Remember that letters do not match makes or models. Using x s instead of the actual numbers, a basic part number can be shown as: (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (7) (8) X X X X X X X X X(1) The first digit indicates MAKE of truck. (H is for Peterbilt). These letters are listed alphabetically in the order of the truck manufacturers. A=Autocar B=Ford etc. X(2) The second digit indicates MODEL of truck. Generally, these letters indicate in which order we began manufacturing that model. For example, HA=359 PETE, HC=379 HD=375 etc. X(3) The third digit is for lights, 0=no lights, 1=round lights, 2=rectangle lights, etc. X(4) The fourth digit is for a step hole. Note that some people may use a hitch hole as a step, but the primary use is the determining factor. 0=no step, 2=center step, etc. X(5) The fifth digit is for hitch holes. 0=no hitch, 1=hitch holes, 9=bolt holes for an externally mounted hitch. Some trucks will have two hitch holes (FE model KW), and some will have one center hole (HC model Pete). A 1 will get the proper hitch. X(6) The sixth digit is for vent holes. Vent holes may also be single or double, etc. 0=no vents, 1=with vent holes. Again, the 1 will get the proper vent for that model. X(7,8) The last two digits are always together and indicate the style and depth of the bumper. 06=18 square rolled ends, 02=16 taper, 07=16 gullwing, 51=20 boxed ends, etc. Please remember if you have a question about which hole is proper for that model you may always go to the catalog and see which hole we have designated for that option. Look for the drawing that only has that option and see where we have put that number under the drawing. For options such as oval lights and other kinds of lights they should always go in the same order at the end of the standard part number. The order is ovals, round, millennium, license plate holes, and universal mount. There are additional notes and diagrams on options for bumpers at the front of the catalog and light and cut out options at the back of the catalog.
