6 Calf Boxes ZIMMERMANN Calf Boxes Our Calf Boxes are available as single boxes and in rows. They are produced as a variable connectable system and can thus be extended as row boxes as required. The frame is self-supporting and can be quickly assembled and disassembled. The walls consist of hygienic, very sturdy synthetic profiles (35 mm thick). In the case of row boxes, the top half of the side walls is designed as a partition grate to allow the calves sufficient visual and tactile contact. All boxes are equipped with two locks and holders for drinking and nipple pails. 7 Calf Boxes ZIMMERMANN Calf Boxes with Insulated Roof The ZIMMERMANN Calf Boxes are designed as modules. The hot-dip galvanised structure is self-supporting and can also be easily assembled by the customer. The back and side walls consist of very robust, easy to clean, 35 mm thick, resistant synthetic profiles. In the case of Calf Boxes in a row, the top half of the partition wall is designed as standard as a hot-dip galvanised partition grate with vertical bars to allow the calves sufficient visual and tactile contact (as specified by EU ordinance on keeping calves). Each box is equipped with two fixing options and holders for drinking and nipple pails. In addition, the boxes have a large, insulated roof, consisting of 30 mm thick thermal panels (sandwich elements) complete with edgings. The floor design of the Calf Boxes consists either of a fully synthetic grate or a synthetic coated steel mesh grate (coated grate). This is very easy to clean and therefore unsurpassed in terms of hygiene. 18 Feeding Table Gate We produce made-to-measure feeding table gates up to a width of 3.5 metres. The sub-structure consists of rectangular tubes and is hot-dip galvanised. The cover is made either of nonslip laminated wood panels or of diamond plate. 32 Reclining Boxes: Doro-Boxes All cattle want to have their heads free when lying down and standing up. The patented Doro-Box offers optimum reclining comfort for your animals. When the cow enters the box, it is fixed at the side and therefore lies straight in the box. When reclining, it then has full headroom thanks to the short structure and the patented bend of the front tube. The cows evidently feel more comfortable than in conventional partition types. Due to the moving, spring-loaded neck chain and the breast bar, exact positioning is ensured, which does not prevent lying down nor standing up. The Doro-Box is completely formed from one tube (2" mm), with the support leg designed as a double tube. This enables optimum durability. The box remains flexible and no welding seams (the weak point of conventional bars) can break. The sturdy floor attachment is anchored with heavy duty anchors, to which the box is bolted. 38 Reclining Boxes: Friesland and Pro Box Reclining box type Friesland The Friesland type reclining box is fixed to two support tubes as a free-standing reclining frame; it can be installed as a wall and double reclining box. Due to the special design, no additional divider tube is required for the double reclining box range. The Friesland box offers cows good headroom and hip room when lying down and standing up. For additional comfort for the cows, instead of a rigid neck tube, a curved reinforcement tube and a moving neck chain can also be installed. Reclining Box Type Pro Box The reclining box type Pro Box is installed as a selfsupporting barn frame on a vertical 2 1/2" tubular post. 50 Why ZIMMERMANN Systemstall? We were one of the first companies to install this type of barn in Germany. We implemented the first projects at the beginning of the 1990s and since then have continually further developed this system. After many years of testing in practice, today we can offer you a high quality complete system. Thanks to high unit production and a standardised basic range, we offer an excellent cost-benefit ratio. Thanks to our preliminary work (statics, floor plan, ), a low level of planning is required, the assembly time is short and assembly itself very easy. It can be carried out ourselves without special machines and tools. Housing is also at lower cost, as many brackets, drill holes and divider tubes are already pre-produced on the barn shell and adapted to the dimensions of our housing. Your construction project is professionally managed from the beginning together with your architect, in order to ensure that all components (sub-structure, barn shell, equipping, manure removal) are ideally co-ordinated. Our standard roof girders are statically calculated. In the event of an order, we offer a structural study or verifiable statics free of charge. The roof girder types developed by us offer a flexible, individual solution for almost every construction project, be it a new building or an extension. We also stock suitable roof girders for the assembly of continuous mattresses and for the young cattle reclining area. This option is not available, for example, for socalled roof boxes or reclining cavities made of concrete parts. The simple design and the low height of the components make the Systemstall assembly-friendly and therefore suitable for providing own services.
