1 Introduction SIXTH REGULAR SESSION Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia 7-11 December 2009 COMPLIANCE INFORMATION REQUESTED BY TCC5 WCPFC6-2009/IP06 (Rev.1) 1 Paper prepared by the Secretariat 3 December At the Fifth Regular Session of the Technical and Compliance Committee (TCC5) held at Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia from 1-6 October 2009, the Committee reviewed WCPFC-TCC5-2008/31(Rev.1) summarizing information received from CCMs, including information received under Article 24(5) of the Convention, relating to implementation of the Convention and the decisions of the Commission. It was noted that the paper identified a large number of reporting gaps for the majority of measures. 2. TCC5 recommended future reports by the Secretariat attribute reporting gaps to the CCMs concerned. TCC5 noted recommendations by several CCMs to amend data tables. TCC5 forwarded these proposals to the Secretariat for its review and inclusion in a revised paper to be submitted to WCPFC6. Organisation of information requested by TCC5 3. The information requested by TCC5 is organized as follows: i. data tables from WCPFC-TCC5-2008/31(Rev.1) amended according to CCMs proposals (Tables 1-4); ii. CCMs reporting obligations with respect to CMMs (Table 5); iii. CCMs reporting obligations with respect to CMM (Table 6) 2 ; and iv. CCMs other reporting obligations (Table 7). Recommendation 4. WCPFC6 is invited to: a) note the compliance and non-compliance by respective CCMs; and b) consider remedial action for failure of CCMs to comply with their reporting obligations. 1 This paper has been revised to reflect that Korea has provided the Secretariat with a FAD Management Plan. 2 Although the RFV database contains information on Previous names (if known) and Previous flag (if any), because of the ambiguity of null values in the database, CCMs compliance with provision of these two vessel attributes has not been reported in Table 6.
