3 Welcome E-Bikes, the future of fast delivery and transport. At Barletta we have been on a 5-year development program and in that time the speed of change and development within the e-bike market is simply mind-blowing. 4 years ago, no one was really playing in the commercial field for Electric Bikes. This was a specifically designed bike not for recreational use, but one that was purpose built to be used for deliveries in and around the city and CBD areas. The technology was still really developing and people were just trying to understand the limitations and benefits v s the cost of using these bikes v s the traditional methods used by couriers. Barletta started the journey to design a bike that had the carrying capacity needed for a commercial bike and the battery life needed to get through what we thought would be an average days use of around the 100km mark. products that we sell are constantly being developed to suit our customers needs and also to ensure that we are taking advantage of the giant leaps in technology changes over the years as well. With our E-Bikes being sold and tested across Australia, New Zealand and the United States, we are relentless in looking for design improvements in our products. We are really excited to see where Electric Bikes will go over the next 3 to 5 years. The technology that is coming will only make them better and more efficient. The speed of delivery that an E-Bike offers the business community is just now starting to be understood. As our cities and roads become more crowded and parking becomes harder, bikes and E-Bikes will definitely be something that we will see growing in the future. We have continued to work with design and supply partners in China and Europe to ensure that the bikes and E-Bikes typically run at 10% of the reimbursement cost, give you access to a larger number of drivers/ riders, are quieter and cleaner for our neighbourhoods, and simply gets to the customer faster.
