3 Description The EZ Solar Trike is an environmental friendly vehicle that provides the public with an alternative to fossil fuels. The EZ Solar Trike is the solution for all the gasoline problems. It can transport a person to school or work or their local convenience store. The EZ Trike is essentially a means of better transportation, it is completely green and environmental friendly as well as innovative and affordable. When using the EZ Solar Trike you don t have to worry about running out of energy since it s powered by the sun. The solar panel above the Trike acts as a mean of power collector and provides shade to the person on the wheel. The solar panel essentially fills the batteries which then transfer the energy to two strong 1/10 of a horse power DC motors that make the bike go to an exciting 19 mph. The EZ Solar Trike is a comfortable and stable welded steal frame recumbent tricycle that besides being stylish it helps the planet. It has a wheel base of 56.5 and an overall length of 73. The solar trike is safe, and with the help of a pod the rider has control over the speed in which it travels. Brakes are also included, even though you cant ride to the speed of sound it you will reach a speed in which you need help to stop. 5 DC motors Motors have the same permanent magnet design as NEMA DC motors on this page, but with a square mounting flange. Use for low voltage, low torque applications. 7 How to Operate it Step one: sit on the comfortable seat Step two: place both hands on the handlebar and both feet on the foot rest space in the front of the bike. Step three: lightly turn the pod to make the bike go and enjoy your ride! Safety Precautions that users should take: When riding the EZ Solar Trike make sure you legs stay on the space provided, even though you are not going to be going really fast you have to maintain all body parts safely inside the vehicle. Maintain a clear view of the path where you re driving to avoid rough roads What not to do Do not, under any circumstance touch the gears or chain while the vehicle is moving Do not take any of the wires and rearrange under any circumstance. If there is insulation missing from the wires, carefully cover with electrical tape to avoid contact with the inside of the wires. Do not eat while driving. Design Frame Design Made out of Aluminum square tubing, a combination of 1/8 and 1/16 thickness to secure the panel properly above the tricycle. The aluminum frame holds the Kyocera solar panel, which is the main source power for the vehicle. 8
