4 FINDING A RIDING STYLE HARLEY-DAVIDSON 5 YOUR PERFECT FIT HANDLEBAR POSITION Will you be turning heads on city streets, or crossing countries off your list? Getting more out of your ride is completely about how it fi ts. Fit is everything. With a few adjustments, we can help you customize your ride to fi t you like a glove. The perfect fi t starts with the control triangle: the seat, foot, and hand location. All three are crucial. Each model has specifi c features that affect the control triangle. When power is at your hands, you better feel comfortable turning it loose. That starts with the handlebars: finding the right fi t for your hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, and back. Every rider needs a different combination and you can get the perfect fi t by adjusting three simple aspects: PROFILING Comfort and beauty. Pulled back or high handlebars with a forward foot position for casual, laid-back rides. SPORT This is all about feeling total control. With tighter handling and flat handlebars, this forward-leaning, aggressive position shifts your weight toward your legs and arms, putting you in a more responsive position and ready for the road ahead. CRUISING Think of this as the best of both worlds. Tall, pulled-back handlebars and a deeper seat with mid-forward controls, you get style, comfort and better balance for your ride. TOURING Comfort in the saddle equals comfort for miles. For extra-long hauls, ride with an upright seating position. A deep, wide seat keeps you forward, and wide handlebars and footboards keep you comfortable. 1 WIDTH Measured from the end of one hand grip to the other. Touring calls for a wider bar, while sport riding is best with lower end-to-end width BENEFITS A reposition of the grip point reduces the stress most riders feel in their neck, back and shoulders. By relocating the bars closer to the rider, the motorcycle becomes much easier to steer and control. STOCK HANDLEBARS WITH RISERS If the stock handlebar has the correct width and hand position for you, but seems just a little too far away, riser kits can help bring the controls within reach. Straight and curved risers are available for many models and handlebar combinations. 2 RISE Vertical distance between the handlebar s tip and its base. Adding risers can help bring the controls up or down, to be more comfortably in reach. PULLBACK 3 RISE PULLBACK Paired with the right rise and width, the right pullback brings the bars closer to the rider. Risers provide immediate relief to those stretching to reach their handlebars. Adding pullback risers will bring the handlebars approximately 5" closer to the rider (compared to stock). Perfect for riders with shorter reach, or riders who prefer sitting a little straighter in the saddle.

It s how you see more, do more, go more. Adjusting the seat, controls, and suspension can customize your bike to your stature for the most natural, comfortable fi t. Together with your Harley-Davidson dealer, you can find the right seat for more comfort, more style and more control. SHORTER RIDER LONG-HAUL SUPPORT SHORTER INSEAM BADLANDER SEAT LOW-PROFILE SEAT SUPER REACH PROBLEM Putting a tall rider in tight quarters can strain joints and restrict movement. A knees-high position puts added pressure on your backbone and can interfere with the handlebar in full-lock turns. The riding posture quickly becomes uncomfortable and distracting as you rack up the miles. The frame-hugging rider seat and the slim, tapered passenger pillion visually stretch the bike and enhance the slammed look. This low, lean look also offers the benefit of a reduced seat height, which is ideal for riders who want the lowest possible seat height. Shaped to place the rider in the bike not on top of it. The slight bucket shape cradles the rider and keeps them from sliding back during acceleration. This seat also distributes your weight across a wide surface area, reducing pressure points. Super Reach forward position seats are designed to move riders 5'0" to 5'4" even closer to the controls, and brings the legs closer together so feet can rest firmly on the pavement. It can move the rider up to 1.5" closer to the controls compared to a stock seat. LONG-LIMBED RIDER LOWER BACK SUPPORT HARSH ROAD CONDITIONS FOOT CONTROLS Getting tired out on the road isn t an option. Adjusting foot placement helps you fit your ride and reduces fatigue. A slight repositioning of your feet can go a long way letting you ride more. That s the goal after all. SOLUTION SEAT Park it someplace nice. Equal parts ergonomics and comfort, the seat relieves stress on your hips and lower back, and adjusts your reach to the handlebars and controls. Riding with someone? Get them involved and test-ride a seat at your local dealer. SUSPENSION Feel more comfort and control. Adjust the height of your bike to let your feet be firmly planted and flat on the pavement. This also lowers the center of the motorcycle s mass and gives you more control while riding. TALLBOY SEAT The Tallboy seat moves the rider back up to 2" compared to stock seats. The new position allows additional leg and arm movement for riders 5'9" to 6'1". The bucket design of the Tallboy seat also provides rider back support. SUNDOWNER SEAT The Sundowner Seat provides the maximum in longriding comfort. This unique seat features a deep bucket design that cradles the tailbone and provides back support for the rider. The narrow nose of the seat was sculpted to bring the legs closer together. HAMMOCK TOURING SEAT A revolutionary suspension system in the seat helps protect rider and passenger tailbones from harsh road impacts. Internal suspension prevents bottoming out and provides improvement in comfort and endurance over the long haul.
