7 Alternator The Lectran System is powered by a brushless, high frequency AC generator (non-geared or geared), available in three ratings: 12 kva, 30 kva, and 60 kva. Lectran alternators can be installed in multiple positions and are designed for direct coupling using a shaft to the truck transmission PTO or an auxiliary power unit. The availability of multiple gear ratios allows the alternators to generate full output at low engine drive speeds. Instrument Console Pre-wired and ready for installation, the instrument console includes an alternator output, AC ammeter, elapsed time clock, and a speed/power indicator light all controlled by a simple on/ off switch. The console is protected against electrical sparks and enclosed in a NEMA Class 4X case for outdoor use. Features & Benefits Pump system allows customer to service hospitals and facilities where oil contamination from hydraulic systems is not acceptable System components are lightweight, compact, and environmentally friendly for ease of installation and compliance No outside power source required to deliver cryogens to customer stations Uses less power than hydraulic systems, lowering operational costs Mechanical shaft seal prevents both static and dynamic leakage Simple regulation of the electrical power source yields variable flows and pressures Liquids Pumped Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, Carbon Dioxide Motor The Lectran motor features two ball bearings lubricated with a special-service, low-temperature grease. It operates on 460V, 120 Hz, 3-phase power at 7, rpm. Pump motor speed can be adjusted by varying the alternator speed through the tractor s cruise control.
