1 Well, it is back...not that many recollect the first appearance, but back in the summer of '69 Dodge paraded around the auto show circuit with the Yellow Jacket...a concept vehicle that preceded the 1970 Dodge Challenger. This time around, the Yellow Jacket isn't just showing up on the road shows...it is coming to dealerships near you. The Yellow Jacket and rehashed Superbee (based off the late model Dodge Charger) will both be released in limited numbers, and feature similar appointments. The main draw will be limited availability, the overall package, and of course trademark SRT Performance. Tony aka "moparx2" was nice enough to swoop in and take the pics of the first Yellow Jackets to swarm the region. The Yellow Jacket is certainly easy to pick out dressed in Stinger Yellow. While Detonator Yellow was derived from a mix with white, Stinger sticks true to nature and blends with an orange. Just as moparx2 reported, the flys and bees sure seem to like it. 1 / 7

3 So now that we know the color was nailed, what else sets the car apart? Well, much like the original concept, the Yellow Jacket gets a blacked out grille complete with the black chrome grill surround first seen on the Mopar 10. Special cast-aluminum 20x9" wheels with blacked out pockets deliver parked aggression and compliment the full length side stripe. The interior gets a yellow swatch across the seat backs, but there is no yellow accent stitching as you might expect. According to moparx2 the dealer claimed that Dodge worried the yellow would fade out...so silver it is (I'm not so sure I wouldn't have just gone black as it won't draw as much attention and lead to the likely question of, "Why isn't that stitched in yellow?"). 3 / 7
