6 TS RAGE MAI CHARACTERISTICS All the beneits o the separate ventilation In contrast to monoblock burners, duoblock burners are made up o two units, or blocks, as the name implies: the burner head with the air inlet, and the separately-installed an; the two units are connected via an air duct. The separate installation o the an oers several beneits: the an can be installed in a separate room, or instance in the cellar; this results in considerably lower noise levels in the boiler room; when the an is installed in the same room, a an enclosure can be used to achieve optimum sound absorption, without inhibiting access to the burner; less space required in ront o the boiler and in the combustion chamber; individual an layout with optimum adaptation o the an characteristic curve to suit the pressure ratio o the heat generator; this guarantees pulsation-ree and stable burner behaviour, even on heat generators with high resistance on the exhaust side; combustion air can be pre-heated to increase installation eiciency; lower weight loading on the boiler ront. Maximum lexibility or highly customized solutions Thanks to their extreme lexibility and ease o use TS burners are suitable or all types o installation rom 2 kw up to 34 MW. Burners can be assembled with air duct connection in dierent layouts in order to meet a wide range o speciications in terms o perormance and overall dimensions. Terminal block coniguration is provided as standard; versions with integrated control panel are available on request. Low maintenance, high reliability All TS range models eature easy maintenance. Access to the combustion head and to the internal components is allowed rom the housing top cover with a single operation, without removing the burner rom the boiler. The clear layout allows rapid cleaning o the mechanical components, keeping the installation always in good conditions. Hot air coniguration TS range can run in standard coniguration with air up to 6 C. Versions suitable to work with pre-heated combustion air up to 2 C can be used in order to achieve greater values o eiciency. Installation scheme with smoke exchanger and heat recuperator 6

9 TS RAGE VETILATR How to choose the correct ventilator According to the application output or the uel low rate we need to calculate the air needed considering the ollowing data: - utput / Fuel air low; - Temperature o combustion air; - Backpressure in the combustion chamber; - Sea level altitude. In order to dimension the correct ventilator the ollowing calculation has to be made: 1. Air low needed 2. Pressure needed First o all we need to calculate the air low needed in unction o m 3 /h or gas or kg/h or oil and multiply it or the ollowing suggested coeicients: atural gas: K=12 Light oil: K=15,7 Heavy oil: K=15 This value must be adjusted according to the ollowing: 1. temperature o combustion air (standard 2 C; see table or dierent temperature); 2. sea level (reer to the table or correction actors); 3. air loss o the connecting pipes between burner head and ventilator (estimated to 5%). Total air pressure: to inalize the calculation we shall consider the ollowing actors: - head loss o the burner* (see ollowing pages); - backpressure in the combustion chamber; - additional loss given rom accessories like heat exchanger, ilters, *: pressure losses calculated at sea level at 2 C; the value must be adjusted according to the correction actor Example: 1 m 3 /h o gas The quantity o air will be: 1 [m 3 /h] x 12 = 12 m 3 /h o air Results will be the ollowing or an installation at 5 m rom the sea level and with air at 5 C: 12 [m 3 /h] x 1,5 /,855 = m 3 /h 1 m 3 /h gas or BLU kw (L.C.V. 857 kcal/m 3 ) - head loss = 35/,855 = 42 - backpressure installation = 15 - additional exchanger = 15 Total: = 72 Final data achieved or selecting the ventilator: 1.
