It has been run for more consecutive years over a given course and length than any other footrace in the world. There are two types of major impacts for this event: 1) extra service to get people to and from the event; 2) intensive re-routes to avoid the race route, which cuts the city in half. 2 Clement Reroute Head Sign Restrooms Regular route to Post & Kearny, then L-Kearny, R-Bush, R-Sansome, R-Sutter to temporary terminal Via temporary terminal to regular route. Relief Instructions Caution Make sure your relief knows to return to Presidio. Expect heavier than normal travel on the 5-Line. Regular 5-Fulton route from Fulton/7 th to Market/1 st, then R-1 st, L-Mission, L-Main to regular OB route. Take recovery at outer terminal. Do not layover at Castro/18 th ; take all relief at 3 rd Street. Inspector will give you terminal leaving times and adjust schedules/headways as needed. Check with OCC/Central prior to pull-out for instructions MC Runs 003 and 009 to switchback and reroute as follows: Regular OB route to Divisadero & McAllister, see inspector, continue via R-Fulton, R-Broderick, R-McAllister, L-Divisadero to regular IB route to Jackson & Webster. Use regular route to Haight & Stanyan, then L-Stanyan, L-Waller, L-Shrader, R-Haight and proceed immediately to outbound route. Instruct passengers to walk to Stanyan & Hayes to continue trip and call Central Control for switchback orders after 11:30am. Deadhead route from 11 th /Market to Castro/Market: R-11 th, R-South Van Ness, L-Market, L-Castro to 35 line terminal at Castro/Market. Inbound via Market, R-10th, L-Folsom to 4th, then R-4th and drop offriders and DH to Valencia and Chavez on the 36-line. (Use 12-line stops on Folsom). Inform passengers that the 5, 21 at Market & 7th are the only surface service to downtown after 6:00am. MUNI Metro commences operation in the subway starting at 6:00am.
