2 ABOUT US AND OUR PRODUCTS Maya Positioning Equipment Mfg. Co., Inc. is a small family business specializing in design and manufacturing of Posi-Stop System. It includes manual length stops with universal guide rails and complete stationary or mobile Saw Stations with mechanical or automated length stops. The Posi-Stop System was originally designed, developed and introduced to the marketplace by Maya Co. in Since then, thousands of Posi-Stop units have been sold to the variety of industries in the USA and abroad. What is unique about the Posi-Stop System is that it improves the accuracy and efficiency of metal, plastic and woodworking machines at a modest investment cost. Plus, it minimizes production set-up time, run time and rework time. System is easy to mount and calibrate on a variety of saw, drill press, iron worker extension tables, conveyors, jigs, fixtures or lay-out tables. System is widely used for manufacturing of windows, doors, cabinets, furniture, millwork, metal work and the construction of houses, commercial buildings, garages, and storage sheds. 3 UNIVERSAL GUIDE RAILS Shipped by UPS Universal Guide Rails are the foundation of our Posi-Stop system. Originally designed, developed and implemented for production by Maya Co. in Overall critical dimensions: 2 1/4 x 3/4 vertical flange and 2 x 1/4 horizontal flange, have never been changed. This assures that Posi-Stops sold today will work with Universal Guide Rails made 25 years ago! Features Heavy custom aluminum extrusion, anodized. Over engineered compressive strength to prevent deformation. 3/8 T-slot opening for internal locking or locating purposes. Pre-drilled mounting (slotted) holes. Overslide protective screws located in the ends of each rail. Special connectors for splicing option to any length. Excellent dimensional tolerances: - Straightness =.12/ft of length - Flatness =.002/in of width CROSS-SECTION Notes: Rails longer than 8 are shipped spliced: 8 + 2, 8 + 4, 8 + 6, etc. No extra charge for splice work. Self adhesive tapes are included. Rails have 1/4 x 7/8 one side open slotted mounting holes. Rails for swing stops have 5/16 DIA holes with countersink. First hole is located 3/4 from the rail end. Second hole is located 2 from the rail end. Intermediate holes are on 12 CTR. All holes are located 3/4 from the edge of the horizontal flange. 4 RIGID POSI-STOP SYSTEM For General Purpose MADE IN USA S-06-L Rigid system combines non-flipable (rigid) impact plates with positive locking and exact locating. It is easy mounted and calibrated on a variety of saw and drill press benches, roller tables and lay-out tables. The stop unit can be picked up from the guide rail at any location to clean the work area. 5 FLIP-UP POSI-STOP SYSTEM For Optimizing Purposes F-01-L F-06-L NOTE: Flip-Up Posi-Stop system requires two Guide Rails. Offering the same ease of installation and calibration as rigid units, they also allow for rapid switching between multiple stops to achieve variety of cutting lengths. This system is recommended for production work stations where set-up time is critical and quick changes between multiple cuts allow for significant time savings. Protrusion is controlled with set screws or stainless steel thumb screws. Impact plates are spring loaded with light retraction force =.25 lb., made of O1 tool steel. Impact plates can be pulled-out from the body (for cleaning) without removing it from the guide rail. Swing stops are locked in place with 1/4-20 socket head screws and dual hole lock-plates. You can position the swing stop at desired location by aligning the graduation line on the tape with or top edge of the block.
