3 Project Objectives To carry out literature review on electric bicycles to understand the latest trends, present practices and collect relevant data. To collect data of existing electric bicycle designs through product study, visual design exploration, user study and market study. To create QFD on basis of customer voice and arrive at PDS to meet the customer requirements. To generate concepts as per PDS, create 3D models of the generated concepts and select the final concept using weighted ranking method. 13 Conclusion Data collection and analysis helped to understand the user needs and helped to design a better product to satisfy user needs Based on the QFD and PDS 5 different concepts were generated Final concept is selected by weighted ranking method 1 :1 working model made and feedbacks were taken from targeted customer The Project was successful to bring a solution for the problem of lack of power in bicycle by incorporating electric motor and controllers into it with pleasing aesthetic and ergonomic design M.S.Ramaiah School of Advanced Studies 43
