2 EV Charging Station Overview Program Goals 1. Research and identify charging station technology that is compatible with the Snack foods Manufacturer /Smith Electric Vehicle The Newton Specifications. 2. Visit all assigned sites and assess existing electrical capacity 3. Develop each site plan to right-size future electrical infrastructure for charging station deployment 4. Design single line electrical drawings and scope of work 5. Develop installation budget for all Phase I EV sites 6. Develop and submit a proposal to implement Ft. Worth Pilot Project 7. Develop and submit a bid package Specifications for Pilot Site 8. Support Snack Foods Manufacture In Developing AZ site EV deployment with consideration of its Net Zero plant and PV system 9. Support Fritolay in developing 2011 deployment plan for all Phase I Locations 10. Install selected sites ON BUDGET, ON TIME! Fleet EV Charging Station Program Overview 2
3 EV Charging Station Overview How did we get this done in 45 days with limited internal resources? 1. Where there s a will, there s is a way! - "Where there's a will, there's a way" is an old English proverb meaning a person with determination will find a way of doing something. A proverb is a short saying that has widespread and frequent use that expresses a basic truth, familiar experience or concept. 2. We found a outside electrical engineering firm, located in SE to help support the Design Phase 3. We teamed them up with Several construction groups to help with design and national installation Phase 4. Signed a PDA, (Project Development Agreement) with Snack foods Manufacturer for Engineering and Deign 5. Conducted 30 days of research on charging station technology. 6. Forged a relationship with Smith Electric Vehicles out of Kansas City, Mo. And Clipper Creek who were the selected vehicle and charging stations suppliers. 7. Audited 13 locations in 21 days 8. Designed and built proposal for each site 9. Presented our finding at Headquarters Friday August 6 th Received our first contract for the pilot Site in early September 2010 Fleet EV Charging Station Program Overview 3
