13 Alt. 5 Vertical tank installation AUTONOMY 2.3 DAYS FERRIES (SMALL SIZE) Reducing vehicle pay load as the required center casing (IGF B/5 requirement) is reducing lane meters more than a side casing Reducing passenger areas Relatively small LNG capacity due to small diameter of the cylindrical tank, despite its great length Higher VCG => Stability may need to be recovered by a wider beam CRUISE SHIPS + Vertically located cylindrical tanks may be a potential solution for cruise ships with AHU units arranged in rooms at center areas of the ship, at multiple decks. + The a.m. Center AC Casing solution is to the benefit of arranging space demanding cruise ship systems and spaces at lower decks, such as potable water post treatment plants, laundries + Repair or renewal of tanks by removing the tanks by lifting upwards through the funnel + Simplified internal ventilation arrangements Higher VCG may require increased main dimensions due to stability reasons. & PKO
