8 HFS HydroSub 150 General description The HydroSub 150 mobile pump unit consists of a diesel-hydraulic power pack pump unit with a portable hydraulic driven submersible pump, complete with floating device. No draft problem anymore. No suction draft losses, due to the application of a hydraulically driven submersed floating pump, powered through a hydraulic transmission by a powerful diesel engine. Compactly build into a base-skid-frame. Featuring access to any open water at a horizontal and vertical combination distance of total 60 meters. Output: bar and/or ,1 bar

9 HFS HydroSub 150 Main features The HydroSub 150 is a mobile pump unit driven by means of a powerful diesel engine with radiator cooling. The unit is built in a base-skid-frame with stainless steel panelling and anodized aluminium doors. Optionally the unit can be supplied with a dual axle trailer version. Submersible floating pump The bronze pump housing with alu-bronz impeller is built into a carrying frame with floater and wheels. The pump is connected to the diesel-hydraulic power pack by means of two hydraulic hoses installed on two reels. Dimensions: (submersible only) 580 x 710 X 935 mm. Weight only approx. 115 Kg. (250 lbs). Portability The limited weight of submersible floating pump provides the ability for two persons to place (throw) the pump in the water. The pump frame is equipped with wheels and four handles to enable a four person lift. Accessibility / Operational speed The portability and the 60 meter hydraulic hose length guarantees access to almost all open waters, providing a very speedy water supply without any capacity loss or time loss due to draft problems at a reach of up to 60 meter or with a lift of up to 60 meter. The hydraulic hose is stored on two hydraulic driven hose reels. The unit has a hydraulic driven support winch to retrieve the submersible pump after deployment. Submersible / Floating The submergibility and floating features guarantees operation with cleanest possible water, not affected by the water level or by waves. Even in cases where water is being pumped from very shallow locations and consequently the risk of an airlock due to an air bubble exists, the pump will still maintain its operation. This in contradiction with a conventional suction pump. Hydraulic Transmission The hydraulic transmission consists of a high-efficient axial-piston hydraulic pump Hydraulic transmission components, powering a hydraulic motor attached to the submersible floating pump. Hydraulic system pressure maximum 350 bar. Operation The capacity is engine speed controlled on the instrument panel. The unit is equipped with an advanced control system. The ergonomically designed control panel uses IQAN technology for easy operation. All vital parameters are measured and automatically maintained, such as oil pressure, oil temperature, fuel level, motor temperature, etc. The display also shows the calculated water output. Audible and visible alarms are generated when a parameter falls outside its maximum or minimum settings. If alarms are ignored for a prolonged time, the unit will automatically regulate itself to a safe to operate output performance level and as such prevent the unit from being damaged permanently. HFS Mobile Water Supply Besides the HydroSub units, Hytrans supplies all additional equipment to complement the Hytrans Fire System. 10 HFS FloodModule for HydroSub 150 General description The FloodModule consists of three submersible pumps, necessary hydraulic hoses with manifold and 150 meter of special light weight flood hose. All this is carried in a standard container that fits on the HFS Duo Container system. In combination with the HydroSub 150 it is possible to reach a capacity up to liter/min. HydroSub HFS FloodModule = liter / min.

11 HFS FloodModule for HydroSub 150 Main features The main goal for the development of the FloodModule, was creating a mobile unit providing flood relief on a large scale, driven by the HFS Hydrosub 150. This is what has been achieved without doing any concessions. The FloodModule consists of three submersible pumps, necessary hydraulic hoses with manifold and 150 meter of special light weight flood hose. All this is carried in a standard container that fits on the HFS Duo Container system. The FloodModule is an add on system to the HFS Hydrosub 150. By replacing the standard submersible pump, mostly used for fire fighting, for the FloodModule the combination is capable of reaching a capacity over liter/min. The special low friction and light weight 12 flood hose can easily be deployed by only one person. The separate hose lengths are connected with a simple strap.
