5 SUPPORTED ACTIVITY AND EXPECTED OUTPUT RTD monitoring : Relevant European RTD projects will be monitored WP1 - Impacts WP2 - Mitigation solution WP3 - Regulation issues Scientific status, level of scientific understanding (LOSU) achieved, quantification of the impacts addressed in the projects Technical & technological status, assessment of the maturity (TRL) and the performance (reduction achieved) for the various RTD projects Technical status in the few RTD projects Workshops Technical & scientific workshops in the scope of the project. Better understanding of the environmental priorities (WP1), of the innovative & promising mitigation solutions (WP2), of the regulation technical issues (WP3) Consensus views on priorities and gaps to be addressed in future RTD projects In synergy Both approaches are run in parallel and in synergy ; jointly, they contribute to the assessment of the progress towards ACARE goals, and will contribute to SRIA (WG3) update.
