2 What s New for MY14 Models Available CLA 250 SoP 6/2013 CLA 45 AMG SoP 9/2013 Details The all-new 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA is an uncompromising four-door coupe with stunning style, innovative brains, turbocharged brawn and promises to elevate pulses while providing exceptional value. From the black diamond grille with central star to the long hood, sweeping roofline and frameless doors, the CLA is designed to seduce at every turn. The CLA 250 proves that beauty is more than skin deep with a potent 208 hp engine lurking under the hood while providing excellent fuel economy. Driving enthusiasts can rejoice with the introduction of the CLA 45 AMG. With one of the world's mightiest four-cylinder engines developing 355 hp, a newly designed AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive system and SLS inspired Dual Clutch transmission, the CLA 45 AMG is a ferocious new addition to the AMG family. 2

4 Innovation: Collision Prevention Assist Standard on all CLA models Visual and acoustic warnings of an imminent rear-end collision Adaptive brake boosting before an imminent accident, when the driver applies the brake Collision Prevention Assist goes unnoticed as long as there is no threat of danger from the immediate driving situation The system continually monitors the driving situation at speeds of 7 to 250 km/h If the system identifies the threat of a rear-end collision, visual and acoustic warnings alert the driver As soon as the brake is depressed, the Adaptive Brake Assist system integrated into Collision Prevention Assist can boost the brake pressure to prevent the accident The system ensures that the available braking distance is used to maximum effect 4

5 Innovation: PARKTRONIC with Active Parking Assist Stand alone option At speeds below 36 km/h PARKTRONIC with Active Parking Assist automatically searches for suitable parking spaces (perpendicular & parallel) via ultrasonic sensors Active Parking Assist takes over control of the steering wheel if the driver selects reverse gear and confirms the intention to park in the suggested space via the multifunction steering wheel The driver merely has to operate the gear selector, accelerator and brake pedals while PARKTRONIC with Active Parking Assist smoothly steers the car into the parking space as quickly and accurately as an experienced driver PARKTRONIC with Active Parking Assist can also aid the driver in exiting a parking spot provided that the vehicle was parking using Active Parking Assist The system does not monitor traffic conditions and the driver is responsible for safety at all times 5

6 Innovation: AMG 4MATIC Standard on CLA 45 AMG Performance-oriented AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive Total system weight is up to 25 percent lighter than the all-wheeldrive versions offered by the competition A two-piece propeller shaft transfers the power from the engine to the rear axle An electro-hydraulically controlled multi-disc clutch is integrated with the rear axle differential The multi-disc clutch immediately detects slip at the front axle and channels the engine torque to the rear wheels as necessary - All this takes place virtually without the driver noticing In normal driving, the CLA 45 AMG uses front-wheel drive in the interests of optimum efficiency During spirited driving, the fully variable AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive splits the torque between front and rear axle up to a ratio of 50:50 front to rear 6

7 Innovation: ESP with Dynamic Cornering Assist Standard on all CLA models The ESP Dynamic Cornering Assist system expands the functionalities of ESP and enables particularly agile cornering. Details: Improves traction at the front axle and reduces steering requirement when cornering by slightly braking the inside drive wheel Generates a stabilizing yaw effect during fast cornering by applying brake pressure to the inside rear wheel Benefits: Agile acceleration out of corners Reduced steering requirement when cornering briskly Improved directional stability when driving briskly on winding roads 7
